Need help with interesting situation

Hi Guys! I need some help with a rather peculiar situation.

A couple of weeks ago, a girl from my physics class asked me to tutor her when I was field testing my mones in class. I think she is cute, so I agreed. I knew her before, she was friends with some of my friends. She and I talked a few times in class, but I always seemed rather distant and uninterested; I never really wanted to date her before. That changed when I realized that this tutoring would be a great opportunity.

In the past, I’ve been too nice to women. This time I decided that I was going to try to be an asshole and use my pheromones. To all of the sessions, I have worn 2 sprays of ammo, 3 of Shine, and 3 of Honesty.

She and I have met three times to go over problems. During the first two sessions, I did almost nothing but bust on and tease her incessantly. At the end of the second session, we talked for some time, and she mentioned that she “had no love life.”

After hearing that comment, I wondered why she would want to say that to me. Wouldn’t that make her seem unattractive? I went online, and discovered that this is one of the signs of the friend zone. I became rather angry, and I resolved to get out of it. I thought that, somehow, I had been too nice. I planned a really dramatic push-pull, during which I would act like an even more arrogant prick and then kiss her at the end of the session to make her experience emotion.

Well, as you can probably expect, I went overboard with the asinine behavior. We met for the third time on wednesday, and I did nothing but rip her apart. I could tell that some of the things I said hurt her. At the end of our time, I grabbed the back of her head and kissed her briefly. She turned all red. It wasn’t a great kiss, and I, before thinking, apologized for not being a good kisser. She immediately said, “No, this is just a friendly interaction, and that was just a friendly kiss.” She then offered to walk with me to my car, and acted as if nothing had happened. We parted amicably, and she said that she would see me next week.

I felt bad afterwards, so I sent her a text apologizing for my mean comments. She texted back and said that it was okay. She said that she could understand because I am so much more intelligent than she is, and she said that it must be frustrating to do problems with her. That couldn’t be farther from the truth; she seems to be side-stepping the real issue. I actually like spending time to help her. My friend says that I should tell her about my feelings and explain that I read some bad dating advice, but I think that this is a bad idea.

What do you guys think that I should do in this situation? Should I do what my friend said, or should I let it blow over? How did I get in the friend zone? Did I use the right Pheromones? Was I too mean? I thought that only nice guy wussbags ended up in the friend zone.

Drop the idea of being more than just tutor buddies/friends with her. If you just suddenly realize that tutoring is a great opportunity now, then you’re already too late.

Move on, test with someone else and pretend like nothing happened just like she does.

From what you say, she doesn’t seem interested in you. Why don’t you just set her up with one of your friends and she might do the same to you?

From your description, I would say the “I have no love life” thing was more of a shit test than a sign of the friendzone. To see if you would rise and try to get in there.

I’d have let it pass and carried-on being myself and asserting the sort of interaction I want. And if that didn’t sit ok with her, I would step right back as the whole “be an asshole” thing does not convince me at all. IME, it only seems to work on low self-esteem girls and it often means betraying your own standards - which is no good for anything long term.

Stepping right back from her is imo the best way to continue now - Don’t go chasing her with apologies and the like but maybe see if something can get back to her via your pal. If she likes you, she will be back in touch.

Thanks, I didn’t think that telling her about my feelings would do me any good; it would make me seem like a psychopath with multiple personalities.

I only sent her one apology, and that is all I intend to send. She did return my text, so I don’t think she is upset with me.

It’s good that you think so. I’ve been friend-zoned many times in the past, so I must be too paranoid for my own good. Now that I think about it, she might have wanted me to kiss her that night. We were alone in her garage for over a half-hour, and she tried to keep me talking. For some reason, I didn’t think of kissing her then.
