Hey Brian, any developments in fragrance land?
Im totally Interested on what you come up with .. this should be fun
I’m just curious with all of these pheromones.. Are these all natural ingredients?
Are there any metals like aluminum, silver, any heavy metal?
How about Parbens, Phthalates or Propylene Glycol?
I think that has been asked before. From my head, they only use synthesized human pheromones (“human musk”) and dipropylene glycol, which is a standard ingredient in parfume making. Their alternative is alcolhol. The neroli scent is I believe a natural ingredient made from plants. Metals are used for anti-transpirant sprays. Parabens (preservative usage) and Phthalate (plasticizer), never seen those in their products.
Androsterone, for example, is a natural human mone also made in labs for sale to medical schools for research. That’s what is meant when we say an ExperiMone is research grade. Sprays also have perfumer’s alcohol and DPG (a fixative and kind of polymer). Neroli is from the orange flower. Our products use natural and synthetic fragrance. We comply with International Fragrance Association standards. One reason why we can no longer offer Game scent or old MX that used it.
Chemical synthesis does use metal catalysts at times (e.g. platinum). Although a synth of something like -enone has practical limits (99.9pc pure is not possible say the chemists), sometimes 98-99pc is. Highest purity Beta Nol for research is often $ at present. But the results are consistent batch to batch for each synth. The purity is verified by analysis before sale. Colleges will not risk grants or publishing rubbish data by using sloppy foreign made mones. Neither do we. We’ve done business with intl. chemists for > 10 yrs. We know what quality bnol and -enone costs. The likes of P86 have difficult lead times and have limited supplies.
Hello Mr. Harris some of my favorite and most commented on fragrances are Bvulgari:BLACK has the most staying power and great sillage, ISSEY MIYAKI POUR HOMME a very nice and fresh scent good sillage moderate staying power and my favorite KITON BY Kiton has the greates frangrance for me it is masculine yet soft good sillage moderate staying power and is one the colonges that got me the most attention from women it is really classy in the right setting. I like CREED but have only tried GREEN IRISH TWEED which is a great scent but its staying power is ok but has great sillage.
Thank You for all your hard work and dedication to Quality.
Cucumber scent has aphrodisiac effects. I’m not sure if this still helps out, but I’m sure that would be a good tester scent to try out
I like that idea.. It’s so clean smelling and versatile.
Xskinnerx, any time I see your username, I think of Hot Fuzz when they first visit the grocery store and the lady gets on the loud speaker and calls for “Mister Skinnerrrrrrr”.
Pumpkin Pie spice has more aphrodisiac effect on the men, increasing sex drive and stamina. The increased blood flow “down there” is quite noticeable to me. However the women also find the scent quite pleasant, much like baked cookies. I have been using yankee candle factory which seems very high quality. The medium glass jar candles will burn for 3 days uninterrupted, excellent for social events / holidays / snow days.
I have also noticed this effect eating pumpkin seeds. The ones to get are the shelled ones common in Latin-American cooking - pepitas. Try this - roast a tray of raw shelled pepitas in the oven, rolled in corn oil and pie spices, right before people come over, and sit it out in a bowl. The men will go nuts.
Hi,
I’m a Perfumer and would love a go at something for you. I’ve got a great love of formulating and will be formulating something for myself this week when my 1st pheromone order arrives with EoW which I gather is tricky to “Fix” I’m up for the challenge! PM me if you’re interested in checking out some of my perfumes. I start with organic alcohol and use fine perfume absolutes along with fragrance oil to produce the niche scents I am known for. I obvi won’t be posting my personal website here on the forum but if you get in touch I’ll send you a link. I’ve got a great following and have been a perfumer for about 20 yrs. I was not intending to use pheromones in my lines of perfumes but just experimenting for myself until I read this post while looking around for input on copulins. Very exciting new world for me, this pheromone potion world… edpmaker
Hi there,
I’m a Perfumer pitching in info here. DPG -Dipropylene Glycol is used by some companies to dilute the fragrance oils and essential oils. It’s not needed to make perfume and you would Never find it in any high end perfume. edpmaker
I have to say my best fragrance , which I bought on the advice of this forum, pink sugar. It looks like it should be a stocking stuffer for a 13 yr old girl…and my taste generally runs to clean fresh linen scents, or musky unisex a la Serge Luten Fumerie Turque…but no kidding, I have been told by men and women alike that they love my scent. No less than a dozen men, strangers who I happened to walk by, or be in the same room with have told me I smell beautiful. ’ you smell beautiful" exact quote from all of the men. Just yesterday, my BFF was standing next to me and just looking, I asked if we were having a staring contest, and he said " no, I’m just smelling you" I. Know, sounds weird, but it was very sweet. í ˝í¸
Just my two cents. DPG is not only a carrier or dilutent, it is also known for its fixative properties. It will help fragrances and essential oils last longer on the skin. PA is better-suited dilutent for perfumes intended to be sprayed on the skin whereas DPG is better for perfumes intended to be dabbed or rolled on the skin. Most commercial high-end perfumes are of the spray type, so the DPG content will be somewhat low by nature. But there is often a small fraction of it in many products, but in a much lesser proportion than PA.
MMJ: Sounds delicious
.
I have been playing around with turning my essential oils into colognes and have found PA works great for this, but I am still trying to dial in the right PA to DPG to make them last longer. EO can be a pain because each oil is different.
I would love to see some new scent options for sure.
I haven’t smelled all the scents androtics has to offer but I really like the woody types, also a tiny amount of vetiver smells really good in manly mixes as well.
I agree about the vetiver. Light fresh pipe tobacco notes, I would definitely enjoy that. Manly vanilla would be nice too (a la Eau des Baux or Tom Ford), sadly the actual vanilla option is more feminine/unisex, wearable, but still a tiny bit akward in most contexts… To consider: light cypress, tonka beans, spice. Among others.
