So, any of you budding seduction gurus get into NLP? I was thinking about the pickup lines thread, and it occurred to me that some of the best (and worst!) could be turned into NLP patterns. Just curious if any of you use them.

Here’s one I just came up with that… well, okay, I’m easily amused. Heh.

“I find that people generally have two directions they want to go in life-- the easy and the hard. Women, especially like to play on the ‘weaker sex’ stereotype to get attention. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I bet deep down inside of you, you’d rather take the hard erection instead of the easy one, is this not so? I think it’s a measure of character how you choose not the easy, but the hard erection to come inside of you. In the end, it’s more fulfilling, isn’t it?”

No, I’ve heard of RJ before. He’s… uh… well, put it this way: I’m a believer in bypassing conscious awareness with covert hypnosis, but I think the cheesiness of some of his stuff can be a pattern interrupt in itself, causing a kind “Wait… what?” reaction you DON’T want. :smiley:

Time for U to study Stephen Gilligan :wink: … there is this wildly degerate NLP… “asshole NLP”… that makes people look, sound, present as ridiculous… one shouldn’t appear ridiculous, like, you paid all this money and the joke was on you, and now you carry the Asshole Meme AND they gave you a pretty certificate to frame ! Gilligan is diplomatic and calls it “cheap NLP”… and cheap it is… the major problem with lines, raps, routines, caned patterns is that they all sound cheap… it’s the cheapness that grates… and those who are on the receiving side find them profoundly insulting… the reason they find them insulting is that they are reacting to the cheapness… the implied message is “you aren’t worth any special effort, all you deserve is this cheap prepacked comic book stuff”… and THAT’S why almost all pick up stuff that doesn’t have heart,center, core, whatever tends to blow up on the deliverer of such… the funny thing is though, you can deliver the most horriblest, worstest, twerdiest line WITH the RIGHT mindset and it will work, or the most sophisticated, Noel Coward can kiss my ass polished headtrip and it comes off like draining a large swollen boil…:stuck_out_tongue: :wink: :roll_eyes:

So who would you chaps recommend i should read for some NLP tips, sure would help when i selling an investment…

Lloyd Glauberman has 4 excellent CDs that you should listen to daily (rotate among them) for 1-2 months for maximum effect:

Sales Mastery
Meditative Relaxation
Money, Wealth, and Prosperity
Creating A Presence

Each will help give your unconscious mind a little boost in the right direction…

If you’ve got the money for it, I hear Kenrick Cleveland’s stuff is pretty good in terms of sales persuasion. I believe his site is maxpersuasion.com. My interest in NLP is more in the social department. For that, I tend to study what’s available for free online. A search on Seduction and NLP gets you a bunch of stuff that a few useful gems can be filtered from.

If I read Jasmin’s signature right, she’s studied under Richard Bandler, who is the Grandpappy and co-creator of NLP. She might be the best person to ask here.
