Ok, NOW what do I do?

How about I tell a story about what happened tonight?

My neighbor tells me a few weeks ago that I should meet his cousin. We meet, decide to go on a date this week and we hit it off. While wearing some TUTH, I aggressively kissed her and she had this “blown away” look on her face. She came to my soccer game the next night, we hung out, I took her home (she lives with her brother) and necked a bit in his driveway.
I think this girl is pretty cool, definitely worth getting to know a bit better. Possible g/f material.

I’m also a member on eharmony. I find this girl I really connected with online and we decided (last week) to meet up tonight. (this is my first experience meeting up with anyone from the site.) She won’t say much about her (or even give her number) until we meet. We decide to just have dinner together this afternoon. We meet up, we both find out that we’re normal fun people and we have a lot of instant “clicks” with our personalities and backgrounds. After dinner, as I’m trying to figure out if I can extend the date a bit, she says she really likes me and wants to know if I want to come to a house party with her on the other side of town. She also hinted she wanted a goodnight kiss.

Yes, yes YES.

So we go and start hanging out. I bump into a guy I knew through a high school friend that I haven’t seen in years. So we start hanging out, I get separated from my date and I even start mingling with these new strangers.
I bump into this really nice guy and we strike up a conversation. He tells me where he works. A hair stands up on the back of my neck, but I’m not sure why. He asks, I tell him where I work.
“You know,” he says, “someone was just telling me they met a guy who works at <my company> in the <my department>.”
“REALLY? Who, it’s not a very big department.”
“I don’t remember. It’s just odd you mentioned that.”

We start talking some more, he tells me about his softball team and the funny name they gave it.

Then the lightbulb goes on: Holy crap, this is Girl #1’s older brother. The brother she lives with. And he’s good friends with the girl I’m out on my first date with, and he doesn’t have a clue who I am yet.

I find an excuse to end the conversation before I have to give him any other clues I just went out with his sister earlier in the week.

I go to my old friend and tell him what’s going on. He pontificates on the hilarity of the situation. He says that the brother won’t think it to be a big deal. But he also mentions that he thought Girl #1 was coming to the party tonight. OH SHIT.

Well, that brother would be bound to tell his sister about running into me and she’d find out accidentally about where I was and who I was with. If I continue seeing one or the other, we’re bound to meet up again at a future part. There is no way to hide this or let either girl down easy.

I decide to go tell my date. I told both girls I’m a 100% honest guy, so I go to face the music. We have a serious talk in the hallway, she tells me she typically doesn’t date more than one person at a time, but she appreciated my honesty. I explain how I really did like her, and I wasn’t playing anyone. I was just trying to find out what was out there. I ask her if she wanted me to go, and she said no. She says that if I stay, I have to think about something else though, (probably because I was broadcasting all over the place how uncomfortable I was.)

My buddy comes over and tells me how funny it was because him and his friends were trying to set his brother (also at the party) up with Girl #1. Wow. I go back to my date.

I get lucky in that girl #1 doesn’t show up. Me and my date avoid the elephant in the room and leave at the same time about a half hour later. I tell her I’m just going to hug her goodnight and gave her a kiss on the cheek. She still kept standing there facing me, so ok, game on. I went in and gave her a pretty good kiss goodnight. She told me to not wait the 4 days to call her, and then said, “that’s a hint.” Then she texts me on the way home.

Then I decide to call up Girl #1 on the way home to talk to her before her brother does. Judging by her voice, she was totally blown away. Then she tells me to take a few days and let her know what I think.

Then I see I have voicemail. I check it, and it’s my neighbor wanting to know if I wanted to hang out tonight. Not right now but thanks!

So my thoughts were that I would date a few girls a few times and would stop looking once I found a girl worth getting serious over. I never had any intentions of stringing anyone along or playing them. I also had no clue I was going to be matched with 2 girls from the same friend pool by 2 different sources!

It’s my first time being single in 6 years, and I screw up dating around on the first try. I had told both of them upfront I wanted to keep things non-exclusive until I settled into a good relationship. But what do you do when you find two girls from the same friend pool and they find out you’re seeing them both? I’d like to play this off like I’m not doing anything wrong, but the game changes when it involves 2 friends. Thank GOD I’ve only been on 2 dates with girl #1. This could have been worse had I started seeing each girl a few more times before bumping into the other one at a friend function.

There just isn’t a book written for an issue like this.

That sounds awkward. Though I have to say I think you handled the situation really well. You were honest the whole way through. Granted they were from the same group of friends, but you didn’t know that at first. Nor did any of the girls realise the issue until you talked to them about it. Not to mention their reactions sound promising. It sounds to me like this situation has a pretty good chance of turning out well.

Ahhh Wilks, you made me smile

Remember this sentence from your very first post…

Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it LOL (One of the favorite quotes of witches all over the world) :stuck_out_tongue:

Of course the credit for this new found popularity is yours but the mones enhanced it. Now you gotta decide what you want to do with this new found popularity. As Dutchess said it can be awkward but you honor shined through and I think you handled it great.

Since they are from the same social circle it could get messy if you continue to see them both unless of course they agree to it. Keep your options open until your sure of how they feel and how you feel. You may want to play the field right now. If you find they wont go for you dating both you would have to choose. Now is the time to find out about compatibility and shared interests in case you have to make that choice. If the relationships become sexual then its up to your personal beliefs if you want to see them both but its my guess you would not be comfortable with it. They probably wouldn’t either.

I know its a hard position to be in, but its better the not being in the game at all.

I trust you will do whats right for all involved.

Tisha

Looks like you are sorting it out.

I had similar things happen when i was young and single - it seemed like there would be some dry periods and then suddenly two or three girls would be interested at once.

The big word here is “honor” - no matter what I would treat any girl I dated honorably and it seems you are doing your best to do the same. I would never string a girl along nor would I tell her “what she wanted to hear” in order to gain her … affection. The big thing to always remember is how would you want to be treated in a similar circumstance. You have been up front in saying that you are in the process of meeting new friends after not being single for several years.

Tisha is right - try to figure out compatibility as quick as possible because I rather suspect that neither one is going to be happy with you dating both for long …

This is a great post. I think it would better serve int he mens section. What you think?

Wilks, I think you did the absolute correct thing in this situation. You said you were up front with both of them about not wanting to be exclusive prior to this, and when the situation arose, you informed them both… What would they have to be angry about? If I was one of those girls, I would feel a lot more positively inclined toward you, based on your honesty and willingness to be open about what was going on. That shows a lot of honor on your part, and who could help but want to be around an honorable man in this day and age?

Good luck man, dating two women is never easy. Even telling them you are seeing other people they do not understand sometimes, and watch out if they get to talking, you could be reported as doing things you have never done!

I’ll follow your lead boss, but I put it here because I felt it was outside the phero realm of discussion.

(I was wearing in all cases a combo of IO, IH, P79 and TUTH)

But I felt the combo had little to do with the happenstance of the situation, so I stuck this thread in the lounge. I’ll understand if it moves.

I can tell you that girl #1 was kissed just after putting some TUTH on my jawline. She looked like someone just pulled the breathe out of her chest.

I also found out tonight that the brother figured it out before I did, and post facto, I’m guessing he was baiting me with some of the questions he asked.

I’m REALLY glad I came clean. Integrity is a wonderful thing.

Honestly, the right thing to do is to not date either of them. Neither feels rejected in that case.

But Girl #2 is a bit too intriguing to rule her out. We had a very strange connection, outside of the 'mone world. As much as I liked Girl #1, there’s no way it’ll work given what happened. Too many jacked up bridges. (By the way, Girl 1 knows about the 'mones. I was THAT honest.)

I told Girl 2 today, that after thinking about what happened, I needed to see her 1 more time. We have a small date Wednesday.

Wish me luck. They’re both great girls. I consider myself lucky to have this kind of problem in my life.

If there’s a takeaway lesson here, I could think of a couple.

  1. Karma seems to make itself apparent, whether you want to believe in it or not.
  2. Not all pain is gain. Sometimes your pheromone enhanced luck can work against you. Use them wisely.
  3. Dating 2 girls from the same circle is not possible. Unless it’s the freaky circle. Then it’s game on.

Viel Gluck, friends.

You’ve been on 2 dates with #1 and about to go on the second with#2. It seems a bit early for either of them to expect exclusivity yet.

I disagree that it would be the right thing. Karma is not only about how you treat others, but how you treat yourself. Stop thinking about this too much.

What if Karma was leading you to your soul mate?

Imagine you’ve got $200,000 to spend on a car and you can’t decide between an Aston Martin DB9 or a Porsche 911. Are you really going to decide after just one lap of the block? Be open (as you have been), be honest, if either doesn’t like it, that’s her problem, stop worrying, have fun and be yourself

Hmm, seems I’ve found this thread a little late.

Wilks, what the others have said hold true for me as well.

I think you’ve acted with integrity and are showing due respect to everyone involved, which is commendable.

I would echo what others have said and suggest you figure out who you click with better. I don’t think you’re leading anyone on, and you’re handling this well.

The only thing that you need to worry about is enjoying yourself and having a good time.

I agree! As far as I’m concerned it’s not exclusive until you both agree it is.

Yep. Ditto*.*

I think the “Ayes” have it.

As someone else in the thread said, “Game On”.

Wilks, you’re not the only one who is concerned with this question. It is an even more serious concern for the two girls. Girls are better at resolving these kinds of issues. They obsess over soap opras, and we suffer from Male Pattern Blindness.

They’ve probably already figuered out what is going to happen. You’ll find out soon enough.

heh, thanks for the advice and well wishing guys/gals. I had my answer on Sunday. Girl #2 clearly connects with me in ways I haven’t felt in a long time. I’m sticking with her. It’s scary, but after 2 dates, I know there’s the potential for long term on this one. I told her I’m going to go slow, but the fundamentals are all there for a really awe-inspiring relationship.

Steve: you’re 100% right. I was overthinking it. Time tends to clear that problem up. I took a close look at the interactions between the 2 girls and it clearly wasn’t equal.

Phya/Diamond: I completely agree, but I was tangled up in 2 girls from the same close social circle. I have to treat them with the same care I would want to be treated with if I found out the new girl I was seeing was also seeing one of my buddies. Exclusivity and trial dates change when you involve friends.

But like I said, I made up my mind and I feel like I made the right choice. I spent 2.5 hrs talking over the phone to a girl I just spent all evening with. You can’t smell pheromones over the phone, but when the physical dates go 10% smoother, new things are possible. I’m riding on an emotional high right now, but I can honestly say this site is one of the best sites I ever decided to join.

IH + TUTH = FTW

LOLOLOLOLOLOL THIS IS FUNNY! This type of thing used to happen to me all the friggan time LOL… When i wasn’t in a relationship… i was networking lol and i used to get screwd like this left and right. When it’s all over… you look back on it and think “Man… that was kinda fun LOL”

Sounds like you did everything right man… hry maybe girl 1 and girl 2 would be interested in meeting shrugs - eh… don’t push ur luck LOL

congrats man
