I met her on a dating site. The first time we scheduled to meet at a bar for cocktails, she texted me the morning of, claiming she was feeling sick. I simply didn’t respond, as a way of making her worry she’d stand me up; it’s a tactic I read on another site. When we rescheduled, I made it clear that I forgive first-date cancellations only once. Long story short, we had our first date on Thursday last week.
We went to one of those trampoline places for adults, that are popping up everywhere. (Beforehand, I sent her a link to their website, so she can read up on it and bring a change of clothes.) David DeAngelo, a well-known PUA author, once wrote that women are attracted to guys who come up with off-the-wall date ideas. So I did.
Before going on the date, I put on the following pheromones. (I went there straight from work, so I ducked into the restroom far away from my department.)

She started off extremely well. When I arrived, we greeted each other with a light hug. That’s when she told me that she took the liberty of calling the place in the afternoon, and reserved a time slot for when we were supposed to meet. Whether she was just a thoughtful person, or maybe her conscience got on her case about canceling on me earlier, I thought that was an awesome gesture. Either way, here are the hits.

He seemed to smile an awful lot when he talked, and sounded like he recognized my date’s voice from talking to her on the phone. He pulled up her name, I paid for two people, he had us our sign waivers, and explained what everything was about. I’ve gone trampolining before, but my date hasn’t, so I let my date hear him out, and even stepped aside a little, just to show how secure I was. He kind of looked like he wanted to flirt with her, but wasn’t comfortable doing so with me there.
My date: part 1
Age and race: early 30’s, Caucasian
We went into respective restrooms to change. She came out wearing gym pants and T-shirt. (I had athletic shorts and a T-shirt.) We hit the trampoline area right away. She had that look in her eyes, that meant “oh wow, I don’t know what this is, but I like it!”. I verbally guided her on how to get the best jump, and under the pretext of guiding her along, took her by both hands. She had a clear counter-reaction of squeezing my hands and smiling. Our time slot was 1 hour, so when we took a break and sat down on a bench, she showed no negative reaction when I my arm around her, and even put her arm around me. She reacted equally well when I put my hand on her back or shoulders, when pretending to dance with her on the trampolines (there was music playing).
My date: part 2
After we changed back into our street clothes, we hit the concession stand. She insisted on treating me, saying that I paid for the trampoline time. I thought it was very nice of her to do this. She seemed to look in my eyes a lot, and we held hands across the table with fingers intertwined. We even tried each other’s ice cream (with our own spoons), which was definitely a hit. We left the place, and I walked her to her car. A parting hug (my original intention), where she was pressing into me, turned into a kiss, which lasted for a decent amount of time, and she seemed to enjoy it as much as I did.
Thoughts
As the title indicates, the date went smashingly. She said she wants to see me again, although we still had only one short phone conversation. We haven’t set an exact date for the second date (awkward sentence, I know), although sometime next weekend is definitely in order. Obviously, the kiss at the end was as blatant as an IOI gets (outside of sex), but I saw other IOI’s as well.
What do you think? Was the date as great as I’m describing it? Or could it be possible that she just wanted a time-filler of sorts, and the kiss was just a kiss? (I’m well aware that women will never kiss a guy they don’t like, but thought I’d ask anyway.) Other comments are welcome too.
