I know that most young teenagers shouldn’t be using mones at all, but let’s be realistic…telling them that is like telling them they shouldn’t be in situations that require them to use condoms either. They’re gonna do it.

Likewise most of the new users, including and especially the teenage males tend to find their way to the forum AFTER they’ve received their first purchase which almost ALWAYS included TuTH or at the very least Ammo.

I think it would be a good idea for AD to design a product that targets the obvious and predictable wants of teenage males (GIRLS!) but with a formula that works specifically for their type of body chemistry and the most likely targets they’re going to be around…Ammo JR if you will.
Say perhaps instead of equal portions of Rone, None and Nol you shift the quantities and ratio’s to something more along the lines of say 5mcg Rone, 2.5 mcg A-nol and 1 mcg None. Hell you could even throw in 2.5 mcg of TAC and TAA if you like to make it even more social. It has None so it will have good attraction effects but enhanced with greater Rone type maturity and very social.

I know there’s product combo’s that can create a similar effect but bear in mind these are teenage boys that might have little to no income and will usually purchase only one or two products. If there was something in the AD store where a product was described in a way that appeals to what these guys are looking for I think we’d see a lot fewer 15 year olds jumping the gun and buying double strength TuTH and being suprised when they get ghosted.

Frankly and this has always been a concern of mine. I dont think they should sell pheromones to people under 17/18 at all.

While these are natural substances found in the body boys are in puberty at this age still. This means they are still developing and who knows what it can do to the developmental process. Targeting teenagers would leave Androtics liable. Much like cigarettes. , there is a warning on the side of the package but they are still liable for selling to minors.

As a Adult we know the risks of using any chemical substance natural or not. We can legally make that decision.

I know Androtics would never harm a child intentionally and its near impossible to limit who gets your products on the internet. I dont think having there own line would really deter them though. They tend to want to use what the big boys use.

Well I don’t think it should actually be called “Ammo JR” that’s just a basic example of what it would be in nature. I know that wording it that way would most likely feel condescending to a teenager who in typical teenage rebellious spirit would say “oh yeah I’ll show them!” and then procede to spray on 5 sprays of double strength TuTH…and wonder why he was beat up by the football team.

But if it was marketed like Axe and emphasized what it CAN do as opposed to what it can’t/won’t do, worded in a way that would appeal to teenage boys, then I think it could do well. “Designed to make you seem masculine and more mature than your competition, the vibe of a charismatic cool and popular guy, the guy everyone wants to be friends with and with enough sexuality to gain the attention of the cute girls in your class” Or something to that effect.

As for not selling to minors at all, I agree but a female coworker of mine found out recently that her underage son purchased a membership to an adult website…easy enough when a kid can take his birthday money and purchase a prepaid visa giftcard.

Yes it is easy but there is still the question of liablity. Porn sites dont target kids at least not so its obviious. Thats illegal and I am sure it go’s on but if they get caught targeting kids they are liable and legal action is taken.

If Androtics makes a line for kids then they are targeting them. That would make them liable.

Its not that your ideal is not a good one. I think there is just a lot of legalities they need to explore before jumping on that one.

No one can say with 100% accuracy it wont effect them. Most studies show it does so its a shady area.

I see your point and I understand what you’re saying about the legalities. As it is many people accuse Camel cigarettes with targeting children with it’s cartoon Joe Camel mascot so I get what you’re saying.

It’s just that I’ve seen posts from something like 5 or more teenage males in the past week all who included TuTH in their first purchase. I don’t know, maybe if it was worded to imply it was geared more for college age males. (Late HS to Early College age isn’t all that different hormonally) This would mean it’s geared more for a legal age group with similar wants as the HS kids. In fact that may actually make it more appealing to the younger guys since they probably look up to/envy/admire etc the older college guys…definitely more so than an old 38 year old like me.
So avoid liability by targeting an 18-21 year old market, and as a side effect appeal to the 15-17 year old’s that wish they were older.

Amazing idea I love it :smiley: I can get alot of products since thankfully my parents are able to make very good income so I could get what u listed but still it would be very useful to have something for our age group.

I know what your saying. More and more young people are discovering pheromones and they dont research or listen. Makes you worry because it not only can effect them but us. Something happens to one of them the FDA will swarm in like vultures. All it takes is one pissed off parent to start a war.

Jasmin’s has always had a pet peeve about people using certain trust worthy companies. I consider Androtics the top of my list in that area and I understand and respect her passion on the subject. I know it pisses some people off though.

My pet peeve has always been the young kids that come in here or anywhere and buy mones. I would rather have them here then any other company though. I am passionate about their safety probably because I have boys their age both who are sexually active. I am not trying to stop them from becoming sexually active although I think they get that impression. That part doesn’t bother me in fact when my oldest first told me he was having sex at 16, I started to talk to him about it and he gave the old "I know ma I know they teach us all that in school. My response was yes but did they teach you how to do it right LOL That got his attention (snort)

Your health and well being comes first no matter what. Without that you dont have squat so even if it pisses some people off I am going to give my honest opinion and share the info I know.

A nice idea per se. I believe you’re really thinking of what would be best for young kids who come to AD, but I think the risks of getting into trouble outweigh the potential revenue from products targeted to minors.

First there would be a debate on the (alleged) safety and moral issues, just think of all the religious bigots who would immediately foresee a worldwide teenage fuckfest.

Can you imagine the shit storm that would follow a kid getting injured or killed while wearing mones (despite that they would in all likelihood not be the culprit)? Even if it’s an accident, AD could be in deep shit.

This topic is very interesting. Wouldn’t it be wise to put a big warning sign ontop of the site/forum, to mention exactly what the site is about? also “use with caution” or any type of headline to help get rid of any legal issues against AD, if they arise in a later stage?. This way, they get warned and would be able to use the phero’s with in a proper manner and leave the freaking over dosing/mixing to the phero experts.

I love AD. I never dealt with people outside my house/family who are as welcoming as everyone in AD.

I dont think the issue of overdosing or mixing. Pheromones are not harmful to adults when used properly. This is really just about puberty and people already are misunderstanding what we are talking about. Its just that stage of development. Other then that pheromones used correctly are safe IMO.

They do have a warning of sorts in the terms and conditions. Unfortunately people tend to skip that on all sites. They also have another warning at the top of the experimone section.

When you join the forum I believe your asked your age and have to sign a coppa form. Its been a long time so I am not sure if I had to on the site when I joined. Most kids lie to get in then only reveal there age here.

I really dont think there is much Androtics or any company for that matter can do short of having to send your ID in before purchase which would slow business to a halt most likely because its time consuming.

I think putting a big warning on the page would also make people misunderstand and get scared. They are already with just us discussing it. Its not something all of the highly experienced members are not aware of but we rarely talk about it in the open forums because people misconstrue it.

There is no easy solution I guess other then to keep people informed and this is what this forum does as well as help in the research.

I don’t see us ever targeting a product specifically at teens for any non-communication aid type purposes, but Radman is right in that it is inevitable some will get a hold of them anyway. I never sold to kids who called in, and our TOS excludes them.

The very nature of mail order tends to exclude kids, which is good in this case. You can only get a credit card at 18, which provides a sort of automatic age filters. However, some parents let their kids use them. Some parents have even called and ordered basic stuff for their kids, mostly for social purposes (“Johnny has no friends”), and I don’t know how you can stop that.

One unfortunate thing that comes to mind is that Dial Magnetic poses a higher risk than most of our formulas, and it’s for sale at most retail stores. They’ll sell it just about anybody at any age. We never would’ve done what they’re doing with the molecule they picked. Seems a bit irresponsible.

That said, most healthy kids don’t need more sex pheromones at all. None whatsoever. They’re already sexed up enough as is!

The “need” for them is a psychological one. Quite a few probably think they could use them due to Axe and Lynx advertising, as well as movies like Oceans 13.

Ammo is designed for the college age crowd and the young at heart, but definitely not the actual young. While not aimed at teens, I figure this one probably runs the most risk of getting into the wrong hands the most since it’s kind of “cool”. This is a major part of the reason why we’ve chosen a completely different effect strategy for version 2.0 which may see wider distribution some day. (wider distribution almost always means less control)

As far as possible “safer” formulations go…

The androstadienone used in commonly available Dial Magnetic is especially out of the question. It causes depression in too many men, and since teens are more apt to be depressed it seems like they should’ve tried controlling distribution more.

Androstenone is pretty much out of the question, as well. It would only cause problems, and in fact, does for many older people, too. It’s when your body starts producing less on it’s own that using androstenone products becomes safer. Over 30 or so, it helps give you some of your mojo back. Over 50, many men feel a second wind. Under 20, who needs it? Teens smell enough like it already.

P74 with very little modification is almost perfect for a safer, gentler Ammo 2.0, which we’ve seen as having a sort of “Friends” effect (the TV show). It creates a wonderful interpersonal feel that’s kinda fun and cutesy/sexy, but without any aggressive or overly strong sexual overtones. It gives you the kind of social connection you have when you have swell time with your buddies, or with your bf/gf at those playful but not necessarily sexual moments.

If it got into a teens hands, I can’t see anything bad coming of it. They might just giggle, get along better, and really enjoy each others company. All things they should be doing, anyway. Things their parents will probably like to see.

The only problem with P74 is that it tends to make the wearer feel run down too quickly. I don’t know if it’s because of rapid neurotransmitter burn, or because P74 is just so mellow. We’ll have to take a peek at that on a detail brain scan someday.

Ammo 2.0 presents a bit of a design challenge for this reason. It’ll probably have to be a mix that gets many of the effects of P74 we like, minus the grogginess. If we use p74 at all, it’ll likely need to be capped at 5mcg per spray, meaning other mones will need to fill in in place of using even more p74. That’s the much tougher part.

But seriously, I think young teens need to learn to interact with the opposite sex (or their own sex if thats what they’re into) naturally. Experimenting with the pheromones is fine once you’ve become an adult but I think the kids have enough natural chemicals coursing through their bodies already, that they don’t need any outside help.

However I do know that its impossible sometimes to keep them from getting everything and I’m glad to see the forum here voicing their support to even our younger posters.
