Saw a movie around 1989-90 on tv in the UK.
Main characters Young boy
Princess (approx late teens)
Black blind guy (middle aged)

Wookie type of creature who hangs about with the young boy.
They are all on an island. The young boy wants to get the princess but he’s too young for her. He roll’s down a hill in a rubbish bin and comes out a young man.
The blind guy builds a model city.
The alien woman needs gold to power her rocket ship.
Zorro tries to court the princess.
The wookie is always banging about in a broken submarine which he can’t get to work.
At the end of the movie, the gold miner shoots the alien women who takes his gold and uses it to power her space rocket. You see the rocket taking off.
The princess gets rescued by her friends in a hot air balloon with a Jules Verne type capsule slung underneath it.
The wookie gets the submarine to work and him and the young man go after the princess.
I’ve been looking for this movie for the past 15 years.
If some one knows what this is then you have to tell me.
It’s not Princess bride.
