Sleeping with a girl with a bf

If shes hot go for it

lol…to each it’s own I guess

Make sure you enjoy the ride, your group of friends will shrink rapidly.

Having been one who wanted to be shot in the back by a Jealous Husband when I am in my 90’s.

I have always drawn the line at people in committed relationships, when she refers to someone else as boyfriend (fiance’, husband, or similar), the line stops at kissing and heavy petting (clothed), if it gets that far. (only has twice) I try to raise flags and reminders, as often as possible, and only get lightly emotionally involved. (three times, I have done this and stopped an evening that would have been a sure thing)

Well I agree with the guys - Takhisis has it nailed. Looks like she has developed instant fan club here.

And some very good thoughts indeed.

I had one woman pursue me who was in a bad dating relationship. She wanted out but wanted to start dating me and use that as a pretext to end the old relationship. I told her she was going to have to resolve that old relationship on her own before we could start dating.

I knew the guy but we were not really friends. He was not the sharpest tool in the shed, he was somewhat shallow, but that would be no excuse for me to start dating her behind his back. I also knew he was very much in love with her. She was very attractive. But once again no excuse in my book.

I also had at least one married woman chase after me when I was single. Put on those running shoes Bella talked about and wore the treads off them.

Haha thanks for all your advice. If there is heavy petty why not go all the way? I feel that if a girl cheated on me it would be the same wether it was kissing or fucking. I’d be pissed and leave her on the spot no explination needed. I’d expect her to keep me in check the same.

For the record i haven’t actually been a cheatee. Alot of you guys are getting a little emotional when i just wanted to have a philisophical(?) discussion.

Can’t speak for the rest of the group, but for me, I was the one being cheated on. That’s why I feel so strongly about it.

Read about that. I’m sorry man. Hopefully it opens up new roads that bring joy in the future.

Oh, that was ancient history. Like… 10 years ago or more. I’m long since over that girl and situation, but it does shape my feelings about these things.

My rule of thumb: Do whatever as long as you can still look at yourself in the morning… I guess it’s here that “Your mileage may vary”.
I have a direct question for you, Panda: If you’re the one to initiate, why would you do it?

Definitely. And you’ll find this accelerates as you grow older.
In high school and college, your buddies will slap you on the back and congratulate you for being such a player.
In your twenties, they’ll still congratulate you, shake their heads and go “Good old Panda, still on top of the game”. Then when they start to get serious relationships, if you’re still displaying the “If she’s hot, I’ll go for her no matter what” attitude (even if it’s only towards guys outside your circle or that you don’t respect), they’ll become weary, you’ll be left out more and more.
Why? Because you’ve still displayed disregard for relationships, no matter who it was aimed at.
They can’t be sure that you won’t ever make a move on what’s theirs.

Thank you!

I read once (can’t remember the quote) that you can’t have a debate purely on ideas because all minds are “corrupted” by our past experiences. Therefore, none of us can have an emotionless rapport to this discussion. This is particularly true of relationships where even a person who has not experienced anything yet (say, a child) will still have very clear ideas (at a given time, the ideas may change but they still exist).

You asked us for an opinion and you got it, sometimes with verbose explanations (guilty, your honour! ). It’s a debate and I for one would like to hear your thoughts or comments on what we have said

Note: In my examples, when I say you, what I really mean is “imagine yourself in this situation”, not saying that this will happen to you or reflects what you think.

I would only initiate if i am going to follow through. It seems stupid to start heavy petting/kissing and then call it off because you feel bad. I would say i am a pretty absolute person. Once i decide i’m going to do something i will do it unless something was clouding my judgment when i made the decision (think alcohol, drugs, etc).

I already showed that even though i think someone willing to initiate the cheating and also if their LTR isn’t someone you know/respect then they are fair game. I wouldn’t look down on someone else for doing this. Note that even though i’ve had the opportunities i haven’t actually pursued them (i’ve wanted too :stuck_out_tongue:).

On a side note. If my girlfriend was trying to initiate cheating with someone else (doesn’t matter if it’s my best friend or a bum on the side of the street) i wouldn’t want to be with her. Hands down. I have/will never cheat on my LTR if we say no sleeping around and i expect the same. Thats one of those things i have no tolerance for (kind of like someones position on DUI who has lost someone in a DUI accident).

Alright i just woke up, hope that came out coherant cause i know i dont want to reread it LOL.

While we are on this subject. I am not looking for new relationships so i can’t really say, once you leave your BF then we can be together because i am not trying to have anything but 2-3 open relationships. I am upfront with this and most people are cool about it.

My question for you guys: Has anyone had any success saying we can have an open relationship once you leave your BF, i have a moral conviction against cheating in anyway.

Is that really that much better? I guess it gives the guy some resolution but i know i’d think, WTF she left me to have sex and thats it?

While we’re on the topic, I have a tangential question. Is it cheating if you guys just kiss/makeout/heavy petting, or only cheating if you have sex with another person? I’m sure different people will feel differently about this.

I’m sorta along the lines that kissing someone else isn’t the biggest deal, at least, not as big as actually having sex with them. If someone comes up and kisses my gf, I don’t think I can really get mad at her unless it goes on and she doesn’t do anything to stop it. But if I found out she was sleeping with another guy, I’d probably be furious.

That is a topic with a large gray area.
Some call looking at a person of the opposite sex cheating.

Personally, In my opinion, is ok until clothing has been removed. With the exception of rubbing extensively around or over genitals with the sole purpose of getting off.

I think most people find cheating as a state of mind more than it is an action.
I have had this discussion with different people at different times about what they consider cheating.
An unfeeling one-nightstand once is forgivable, a consistent pattern of looking and/or hooking up is not. Chatting dirtly online, is ok, but making plans to and looking for people to hookup with is not.

Trust me sometimes a 7 day waiting period for a gun purchase is a good thing.
I am not proud of some of the things I have done, but I never started anything without clearing the books from others first.

IMO cheating is anything you wouldn’t do infront of your LTR. Example: I will look at another woman and i will dance provocatively with another woman infront of my LTR but i will not kiss or touch anywhere that shouldn’t be touched. I also make sure to show my LTR more attention and make sure she knows nothings going on but having a good time. If I walked in on my girl making out with another guy i would be furious at her. I doubt i would be mad at the guy unless i was married or i was friends with the guy. It’s her job to set the boundries. If i can’t trust her i can’t be in a LTR with her.

You’d be ok with your LTR making out with someone else? You’d be ok with another guy rubbing on your LTR breasts? Not judging just curious.

That’s probably the most succinct way to phrase it, which really means, it depends on you, your views, and your partner and their views on what is appropriate.

Some couples even enjoy watching their partner make out with other people to an extent. So for them, by your definition, everything is a-ok. Sounds good to me.

I’d do it. Life is too short to be constrained by the moral and ethical boundaries imposed by modern day society.

Just remember, what comes around, goes around! I have a feeling that if you had a girlfriend that you really cared for and somebody did it to you, you might feel differently.

You have to have the mindset:

“It’s OK if I do it to others, but it’s not OK if they do it to me”

Yeah right! Good luck with that.

“If it feels good, do it!”

Just remember, the guy whose girlfriend you banged, who’s sawing off your dick for revenge is probably thinking the same exact thing.
