My parents do alright. They dont really pay for anything aside from me living at home and electric/water. Everything else, my food, car payment, community college, etc etc I pay for. So its not like I’m mooching and wanting to tell my mom to fuck off.
But I dont really have a close relationship with my mom, or any of my family as a matter of fact. I’ll just end up explaining if it comes up.
From reading what people suggested, I could make my mom feel guilty. That is my normal style anyways since I’m quite a manipulative person.

I think the best thing to do is be honest, own it, and refuse to be cowed. It should be pointed out that pheromones have a variety of uses, and that even sexual pheromones have non-sexual uses. TUTH, for instance, can be very useful for self confidence and better body language.
So… avoid lies and guilt (which you seem to have done) and just keep going.
