spiking the air in your business

Imagine if you owned a restraunt, or hotel. Now imagine you use diffuse pheromones into the air.

This would be an amazing test to see if sales increase or even customer loyalty. Either way I think you would bank. “I just love the atmosphere” “I feel great just beeing there” “Lets go to ______! It is so fun”

Mua hahaha

I think i’d use TAA and alpha androstenol for a restraunt. Taa and alpha/beta nol 70/30 for a coffee shop, and in a hotel TAA by it’s self to let the business people keep a rational head, yet still be happy (man that would be expensive for a hotel) perhaps the hotel is a bad idea.

dude. do it, you will make bank.

establishments do this all the time and have been for years, scent machines work better than pheromones in these situations, as associative conditioning works very well with conscience smell

go to a very big department store - there are hidden scent machines all over the place, each one puping out a relevent scent for the product on sale in the vicinity and taking into consideration the potential customer.

I wish I only had a business to do this with.

I’m just wondering if puting scent machines in a restraunt would be a good idea. I think it could make some nasty smells. Food + fragerance?

I don’t know if aussie folks have these stores down there, but hollister and abercrombie and firtch circulate a highly noticable amount of their fragrance in the stores. Its a very clean, woody type of scent. (smells like lavender and sandalwood?)I don’t know if this really affects buyer behavior or not, but the fragrance does seem to fit the theme of the store.

I’ve always pondered the thought that they could mask some uplifting pheromones in the fragrances they disperse in their stores to influence buyer behavior. There are certain some pheromones out there that make me feel more compulsive…less inhibited..‘act first, think later’ type of attitude. Kind of a dangerous way to feel when you’re in a clothing store, armed with a credit card lol. Not that I like their clothes or anything, but its just a thought.

Lol, I will have to keep that in mindd in the future when I open up my business still many years down the road, but still I’ll be the guinea pig lol

Highly noticeable, you said it! The clouds of overbearing fragrance billowing out of their stores (there are probably 4 of them in Mall of America here) have so far kept me from ever venturing through their doors! Ditto for Victoria’s Secret. I think to be successful this kind of thing would have to be much more subtle, and I think I have experienced this is some high-end department stores, probably in California.

I very much agree that using pheromones in business locations is a cool idea to explore, although I wonder at what point saturation would be reached … if we encounter ambient synthetic -nol everyday, will there be any point anymore to wearing it?

I think that you would become more acustomed to it. I wouldn’t effect you or your employee’s as much. You would need to run an ozonator at night.

I wonder what this would to for employee loyalty and job satisfaction. I bet the employee turn over rates would drop.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a pheromone which makes you care less about what others think?

Does anyone have a suggestion for a pheromone which can help me hit the phone all day cold canvassing people I don’t know asking them for information they don’t want to share and that will help me to care less about the rejection and just stay focused on the task of listing and become more creative with the words I use to extract information from those unwilling to share with me a stranger?

Perhaps one that will make me into a smooth talker?

I can’t spike the air with these ones because the competition is all around but I’ll dose my wrists and smell it all day while I canvass.

I am in sales and a I spend way too much time strategizing and agonizing over the difficulty of the task of canvassing. I have to make more than 50 dials per day in order to become productive and I need to care a lot less about what the property owners, receptionists, managing agents say. I need to conquer rejection and just hit the phone all day with quality stuff.

I would also appreciate a good study pheromone for focus and increased memory since I have way too much trouble remembering all the deals we do that actually break down the door in these calls.

So I need a FOCUS ON THE TASK AT HAND pheromone, a GIVE A CARE LESS ABOUT WHAT OTHERS THINK pheromone. a MEMORY enhancing pheromone, a SMOOTH TALKER pheromone and

I’d also love to know if there is a pheromone that encourages EXERCISE.

Thanks a million.

I’d love to see how pheromones could be used in conjunction with other “experiential” things at say, a nightclub. In addition to the ubiquitous smoke machines and lights, a phero cloud could come out at certain parts of the night. Now that would be interesting to observe!

sounds like some good things to enhance. I’ve seen MX134 for women be touted as a good one for focus, sort of like A314 for men, but for women. That would work for your first and third interests. Perhaps “Instant Shine” for smooth talk, or maybe you could ask some of the women who wear Ammo to see if their smooth talk game gets better with Ammo.

For a business you may want to keep things low-key and localized. And low-scent. I agree with Carrie on the overwhelming scents problem. I have a real hard time going into places like the Hallmark stores because of the really really strong sickening overpowering scent of the candles and such (and they are just on display, not acutally being used). Same with incense shops and perfume stores. Peeeewwwww.

There is already rumor that high-roller establishments like casinos spike the air with purse-string loosening scents, although I think most stick with aromatherapy type scents rather than risk any complaints with “chemicals/drugs” (in some people’s eyes) like pheromones.

From the mouth of MHarris. Or fingers, rather… :o

Whole thread can be viewed here:

the only times i used Ammo, i LITERALLY got yes ma’ams and manners like crazy! loved the reaction, but had i paired it with copulins i would have looked like a dominatrix…:open_mouth:

For staying focused and not worrying too much about what others think, try A314 or its variations (MX134 and MX105 are the ones I’ve tried and liked). I’ve used A314 several workdays now and enjoy it more and more. Just one drop makes quite a difference.

For keeping the right words flowing, IO and Instant Shine spring to mind. (aside from pheromones, MHarris told me about coenzymated B vitamin complex for memory and mental agility, and that helps, too).

Scent machines are very very real and the technology is moving forward very fast, although these types of devices are already installed in businesses in most major department stores in the major cities of the world. This is not small fry type marketing, but very sophisticated marketing schemes that work on a very instictual biological level. Civil libiterians know of thier existence and do have an issue with thier use, as do customers that are exposed to thier scents.

One very simple analogy, have you ever noticed when you walk through a big department stores “bed and bath” department, can you smell the soft lavender and other fresh scents? Where do you think they come from 5-6 stories high in a department store? A lavender field nearby located on the roof? No - Hidden Scent Machines.

This is not conspiracy theory folks.

I believe it. Even with stores that don’t do something as obtrusive as circulate cologne throughout the store…I’ve always noticed that certain stores smell a certain way. As in you could visit two of the same chain of a specific store, and they would still have the same distinct ‘smell’ to them.

The scents used in most mall shops repell me. American Eagle makes me feel like hurling. Many of the Vegas casinos pollute the air with cheap scent as well. The floral scent at the Venetian gives me a headache.

I use my iPod and noise blocking earbuds to zap out the crappy store music but I haven’t figured how to block the terrible scents they use…

:stuck_out_tongue: Gegogi, try wearing a ‘clothes peg’ (one of those Old Wooden ones) on your nose next time you visit one of those stores…maybe management will get the idea…

Or stick those iPod earbuds up your nostrils…
