The Golden Ratio (Phi)?

The Golden Ratio (also known as phi, apparently pronounced “fee”) is ~1.618:1. It’s been shown to show up all over the place in nature. It’s even in how your body is put together. And the closer to perfect the ratio of your body parts matches this ratio, the more attractive you are.

So I know some experiments were done with using this ratio for pheromones and I think I remember the story being that they were attempted when Alter Ego was being worked on. My question is… has anyone else used this ratio, and what effect or result did it have?

I guess you could start applying two-product combos using adjacent Fibonacci numbers and see what happens :stuck_out_tongue:

When you get anywhere realistically close to the ratio, though, you’d end up ODing. Maybe a mix in a bottle needs to be made to test this.

I dont see an OD possibility as the closer you get to the number, the smaller the amount becomes to an insignificant level. It would be similar to 1 spray of none, 1.618 sprays nol. Thats very interesting though catlord. do you think that would have the same bearing on pheromones though? thinking about it, I would find it hard to sense the difference between 1.618 sprays and 2 sprays. Could prove interesting though.

oh wait now i understand what you were saying. but to tell you the truth leafstamp, if theres two forces in the world that could create such a precise mix, one would be Androtics, the other would be catlord.

heh, they are not the only ones that have titration equipment…

I will look into this.

16.18mcg rone to 10mcg none… workable…

It’s more like 1.618 mcg at 1x, 3.236 mcg at 2x, 4.854 mcg at 3x. So we could say mix anol, arone and enone at these amounts per spray to get a mix.

If we reduce the resolution to 0.125 mcg, we are now working with multiples of 1.625 instead of 1.618. Then we would have 1.625, 3.250, and 4.875. This shouldn’t be hard to titrate with the proper equipment. So it wouldn’t be 1.618 sprays, for instance.

I think Alter Ego was originally designed like this, but then they chose another ratio.

Hmmmm, why not 16.18 mcg -none to 10 mcg eRone? What do you think?

Interesting idea about the proportions.

I moved this to pheromone theory since it can involve anyone and doesn’t really involve consumer line Mens products

If yoy do a search on “Fibonacci numbers” over at LS, you’ll see discussions going back to '02 on this subject.
