it does throw off an initial head buzz, lacks a pronounced follow through, a generally pleasant feeling of contentment, low key anxiolytic… a “chill mone” probably… not terribly emotic… drifts toward the -dienol family of integrative/calmative… could be cuddly in the right circumstances… I do notice a subtle tactile fascination with the ordinary things around me… I want to touch stuff… maybe puppies and kittens produce this so you’ll stroke them ? No passions or drives… yin energy… receptive… sort of “love vegetable”
, warm blankie… probably great for long massage or spritz in the air before long soak in the tub… clubs, hot pick up scenes ? No… too meditative… too foggy… After hours, quiet table, XO grade cognac… yeah, we can do that…![]()
P86 and pereceptual shifts…
tried another round of P86, slammed it up my nose with 50 mu on a kleenex, walked down the street taking the ocassional shnurt… Hmmmmm… a curious and hard to describe beastie… my brain was clicking to a different wavelength… did notice more auditory awareness… as if my hearing channels were dialed in at a core processing level… nothing was louder or sharper than normal, just more “there” … and my general pattern of awareness shifted a degree away from visual… so it is well possible that P86 is tapping a more primitive stage of awareness where possibly the other sense modalities, touch, smell, hearing had greater significance… is P86 sort of “rebalancing the wheel” or tapping into the core perception ? In lower doses I could see how this might be subtle, sneaky shifting of the perceptual platform… possibly the “complement half” of beta-nol which allows for some thought outpourings, the P86 might be the Yin side… or be gesturing at the Yin side if it doesn’t fully close the circle, of deep listening…
later in the day…
this P86 business has an interesting afterglow… a fine kind of mystical contemplativity that lingers for hours after main thing, although not really euphoric… definitely a refined groove, you could notice or not, depending on your mental quietude… although it suggests a quietude, takes some of the normal obsessive edge off… in brainspeak this is in serotonin territory… a bit prozacish ? ![]()
Hmmm… 50mcg (applied midway thru day on prev-applied base of a314 and Shine). Jangly, tuned in more than usual to stress of family getting ready for christmas guests. Not much anxiolytic there at all for me on this occasion. Some sense of distancing too.
I have heard about “paradoxical responses” in some instances… there are, for example, rare forms of depression that actually mitigate when treated with opiates, which is normally a depressive family of medicines… in some brains, the basic switching patterns may somehow be reversed… sort of a crude comparison is that in 90% of the brains of right handed people, the verbal parts of the brain are in the left hemisphere, but in 10%, the language centers are in the right hemisphere.. some stimlants make me simultaneously more aware AND sleepy… somewhat like the “ritalin response” which appears to be calmative in children but exitatory in adults… since I’m an older guy I may have transitioned into a quieting response, where maybe younger guys feel something different…
I would say though, that my BREW for the evening didn’t have any bite or strange nervous edge… it felt like a profound mixture of passion, focus, rapport, and quietude… did the fragrant elements have any contribution to this overall result ? My suspicion, after years of playing around, is that fragrant/aromatic components DO do something to mones… which then begs the question, is there a deeper layer of crossover or interaction between the sensory/olfactory parts of the brain, which are primitive and near the pheromonal responding parts of the brain… this being a wholly preconscious thing… like copulins are absolutely olfactory/sensorial but they inflect the phermone response dramatically… maybe the super-premium fragrance elements have their own contribution to the moment too
