I think we’ve all been here. I’ve been loving some none based products recently, and I seem to have hit critical mass. Despite being well buffered, I must have still been getting buildup.
I had an awful time at a party this weekend. Like a ghost in a haystack, I just couldn’t catch a break. People I usually know would say hi or make a comment or two, then slowly just walk away.
Remember kids, it’s a good idea to take a break from pheromones every once in a while to detox. Gives you a fresh perspective and gives you a chance to go back to square one.
I’m going to be detoxing most of this week, then probably sticking with low/no none products for a while.
Yes … I’ve heard that too. But turn it around. Suppose that -none was so sticky it ALL stuck to you and never jumped off your body into someone’s nose?
Really, the “sticky” thing is misleading. Pheromones don’t do anything while they are stuck to you … they only produce a result when they jump off your skin and into someone’s nose (etc.) You see?
So the stickier a molecule is, the less that gets into the air to produce a result. Any result (including OD as a result.)
So, to be technical, an OD only occurs when there are TOO MANY molecules jumping off your skin into someone’s nose. It’s not how much you apply, or how often, but how much goes into the nose.
If you spray too much none on yourself at one time, that’s a realistic scenario for OD: you put on ten sprays of TUTH instead of two. But if you apply a moderate amount daily … for example, 2 sprays of TUTH, again, it takes some mathematical modeling (a spreadsheet will work) but getting to the OD levels is d***ed difficult.
NOW – if you have applied OTHER pheros, and they ~convert~ to none, that’s a different story. But plain old none build up is more myth than reality in my book.
Well STICKY might not be the proper word for it, but too much none too many times a week will cause OD. Ive had it happen to many times. While your analogy makes sense -none can build up on clothes, skin, hair and has in more than a few times caused some serious bad reactions.
There are too many users on here that have had it happen to say it can’t happen. Spreadsheet or no spreadsheet it doesn’t account for the many, many users who differ from this theory MarkL.
I understand what you are saying on the one hand, but on the other you certainly have to take into account that if you spray something with none on you and it gets on clothing. Unlike most putrid smells that go away after a day of two, -none is still going to be there. I am sure some guys on here do not wash mones off the way they should be and then on top of it spray other stuff with none on top of it. After a while it will build up. If I remember correctly PheroProof specifically warned about using it to many days in a row and pretty much everybody that used it agreed.
Let’s put it this way. You spray 2.5mcg of none on yourself, and it has a set release period on your skin. Say after 24 hours only 2mcg actually spread off into the air. Now you put on another 2.5 mcg. 24 hours later, you put on another 2.5mcg. Now if you’re only dispersing about 2mcg a day, after the fourth day, you’ve actually got 2mcg on your skin before you even start.
Now these numbers are made up, but you’ve also got to think about your natural body’s reaction to none. If you’re faced with an aggressive smelling man, your own levels of none are going to rise to compete. So when you’ve got build up on your skin, your own natural output levels are rising because your body thinks another aggressive male is nearby. So that complicates things.
Additionally, some people are more sensitive than others, and long term usage of none have strong affects on mood and social personality. I’m positive I fall in this category. What I’ve discovered is that even a really well buffered none mix will still cause negative affects on my mood. Basically I get introverted, grouchy, and bummed out. I’ve experienced this with most pretty much any product I’ve tried with noticeable amounts of none. Ammo, MX103 (and other spray A314 variants), ICM .1A. I need to take a break from these things otherwise my mood starts to plummet.
There are a lot of different aspects to take into account. So it could be build up, it could be physical reactions to extended use of it, ot it could be short term psychological reactions, or it could be something else entirely.
All I know is that eventually, I’ll notice a rapid fall in the amount of positive hits I’ll get from a product. I’m talking going from amazing, to so-so, to this is awful in the course of a week. But then give it a few days and I feel much better and the hits come back as well.
I suspect from what all I’ve read on the two most popular pheromone forums that there are a lot of variables that come into play in terms of results and duration (“stickyness”).
eg Your individual body chemistry, your own pheromone production, the specific pheromone (-none is supposed to be “stickyer” than others), the environment you are in, the weather, and the moods and such of those around you (some may be more sensitive that day than on another day).
I’m personally a bit of a “minimalist” when it comes to pheromone applications (maybe apply just once a day - and not much), and as far as I know I have yet to see/experience anything I would call an OD. I’ve also noticed I don’t ever seem to get any of those “self effects” some others report.
You may just have to experiment to see what your “limits” are, if any.
