TSA Compliance?

Will these be a problem in our 1 quart bag limit?

Anyone taken then in a carry on before?

I’m headed to las vegas for spring break for 5 days, thats why I ask… VIVAAAA LASSS VEGGAASSS!

I’ve heard there’s no problem with them.

Dogs wont sniff them, and they’re under the limit for TSA liquid amount reqs. There’s no specific req that specifies “no pheros” either. It’s not a biohazard, it’s not biochemical warfare element.

You’re fine.

Tigerlilly is basically correct. There have been quite a few threads on this and similar issues. If you have concerns, it is worth experimenting with the search function.

What am I incorrect on?

What’s a search button? lol

I took 5 togos on my carry on recently and had no problem.

Search is the button at the top right of the page. You can type in a keyword and it will search through all previous posts.

… did anyone else feel real pain when they read that?

Top of the screen, near the login… its in blue, big ass letters, says “Search”, and in the big, lime green bar at the top; also says “Search.” Pretty self explanatory once you get there, but make sure to click the button for “Show results as posts” not threads.

Its open up a world of info… really… anything you want to know..

I was joking, hehe but thank you all for the replies, the fact that someone has already gone through tsa with togo’s is awsome.

You’re not incorrect on anything.

As I recall somebody packed several bottles of pheromones in their checked luggage. When they got to their location, they opened their luggage to find one of those TSA notes that their luggage had been searched. One of the pheromone bottles was empty!

I think somebody had a bad experience he attributed to wearing too much -none through the security check point.

A lot of people are paranoid about carrying a bottle labeled AMMO – but an unmarked bottle may be even more suspicious. Personally, I put my pheros in checked luggage. I put them in a plastic bag with an index card marked “COLOGNE” in big letters so bag searchers will, at least, have a clue.

And there’s the perennial question, “What if I just leave a togo bottle in my pocket?”

I had 5 in my pocket. It was unintentional, but afterwards I just keep thinking how awkward it could have been if I was searched and they found a bunch of bottles of mones on me.

LOL - yeah, I’m in the defense industry, so I have an idea of what might have happened… It would not have been a fun day for you.

A bag with a “Cologne” label is fine. Like anything, there are good and bad screeners - pheros can get stolen just like cologne or jewelry. It should be fine in your zippy bag in carry on.

Very good point about WEARING pheros at the security checkpoint. Might ruffle feathers with too much -none, but that’s true anywhere. Airports are just hyper sensitive to everything.

The defense industry? Hm that sounds interesting.. cough spy cough

… sigh No, the vernacular for that is “I work for the government.”

Or at least, it used to be. (State Department, anyone?)

That actually is pretty interesting.. Do you like your job?

I LOVE my job. Don’t look behind you. Oh, and I read your e-mail. Call you mother!

I work in CT - counter terrorism.

Haha very funny!

But that is really cool.. I wanna get into something like that once I am out of college. I was in DC a year ago and got to talk to a secret service agent, so that was pretty awesome as well.

patience, grasshopper.

What do you study? What field do you want to get into? I’m in CT, which is very, very different from Federal Law Enforcement, which is very very different from Secret Service. But we all work together. (sometimes)

Criminology and Psychology. Im not sure what field.. maybe FBI? I wanna be involved in some action though.

LOL

FBI doesn’t hire recent college grads as special agents. They want life/work experience They are also currently inundated with apps from mil vets.

DO you want to work federal? Local? Military/Defense? A lot of people don’t really know what it is that certain agencies/departments do. The FBI is Federal Law Enforcement - they enforce LAWS. Federal police, so to speak, and investigate crimes. There’s a huge push now for CT, which is where I live, so to speak, but on the whole, they are law enforcement. I can’t tell you how many people I have talked to who thought the FBI was racing around with guns blazing, doing secret ops and assassinations.

I’ll be happy to chat with you regarding all of this. Think for a bit about what you want to do - be as specific as you can.

Military Vet here, but past the mandatory retirement age.:frowning: sigh
