I live in Honokaa, don’t know how high it is above sea level, pretty high…I think…I hear cars all driving around…the panicky people…I should probably Google how high it is above sea or tsunami level. How high do tsunamis go anyway?
I’m just lying in bed, on my laptop…should I evacuate? I don’t think it will come this high up…hopefully not…
Im watching on cnn and this thing is crazy. Absolutely horrible
They cant predict how high the waves will be before hand. However it was a 8.5 earthquake which is pretty big so those waves will be big. They can sometimes go 10 to 30 miles inland depending on terrain. The water keeps moving in even after the wave hits. If your within 10 miles from the coast sillykitty get up and find out why everyone is leaving.

Honokaa is 994 feet or 303 meters above sea level. It’s not in the phone book evacuation maps, so it should be okay…
Waipio Valley will get it though…Waipio has turned yucky anyway, it needs a good bath…

How high are you from the shore line? My GPS says I’m 100ft above sea level. I’m within 2 miles north of Waipahu High School.

I’m not sure, a couple miles, but how do you find your GPS and actual sea level, etc? I have an Android phone…
I have a Garmin 72 hand held gps receiver. Some times I use it for Geocaching.
