Well according to CNN it can do some damage along the west coast of the mainland as well. It should be coming to cali by about 8AM pacific time.
Hopefully it will have lost most of its energy by the time it gets there!
I thought it would be one big wave, not a slow creeping thing as it seems to be doing…
See I don’t know much about tsunami beyond what I learned on discovery channel but I thought they actually GAINED force the farther they traveled…guess I was wrong. I hope I was wrong.
I think they’re different, some get bigger, and some fizzle out, like the one we were expecting in Feb. 2010, turned out to be not much…I need to sleep though…but its hard to stop watching it too…
SK,
Hope you guys are ok over there.
Keep us posted
I have a sister in Hawaii, hopefully her island is ok…it sure made a mess out of japan…was strange so many cars were actually floating though, Japenese cars seem to be sealed pretty well…
Hi gang!!! I’m back and ok. The only bad news I have was that I still had to come into work today. ![]()
Sillykitty, how are you doing?
ODG
Thanks for your concern, it turned out to be not so bad here, just a little debris, etc. I heard California didn’t do as well though…![]()
I’m glad you’re ok. I haven’t heard much news of the west coast. Much of it is still focused on Japan.

I haven’t watched TV or read the news at all since yesterday morning, too busy doing things. I’m not a big TV watcher, I know, I need to work on that a bit more. So I know what’s going on in the world around me. Or do I really want to know, lol?
Seems CA got hit worse than HI. A couple of fools that went down to the beach to watch got washed out to sea. A couple of marinas got hit pretty bad, especially our “tsunami magnet” AKA Crescent City.
Yes, I did hear about that…
The main thing is that you’re okay…
Ummm, well, I live at 3,500 feet (1066m), behind a 4,000 foot (1219m) summit, but thanks. ![]()
