What’s Maca supposed to do? Put the lead back in your pencil?
Pretty much Gegogi, although I think Tribulus and Longjack (Tongkat Ali; sounds like a freaking name for an old school boxer) may give better results, as I think Maca takes a while to work in your body. It’s supposed to help with hormones in your body somehow too.

one thing is keep in mind that Maca is extracted from plant meaning it is a food. Therefore, to notice any kind of effects, you must take between 1.5-3mg’s a day. Most tabs are only like 300mg or so, so you’d need to take at least 4 for the benefits.

That’s another thing too, you do need to take a shit load of pills with Maca. The link I posted sells a powdered form of it that is supposed to be pretty potent. Taste like you’re drinking mud though…

Ah dunno, got plenty 'o lead in the old pencil and sometimes wish I could tone it down a bit. Too distracting from the important things in life. I’ll totally organic and grow most of my own food (year around as Honolulu is tropical). Pretty hard to beat the “feel good” from natural raw foods.

yes you are correct, buying it in powder is a LOT more cost effective. Give it a shot, start off by taking 500mg, and slowly up it, there is no one magic amount, but 1.5-3grams is what will work for u
Maca does work but it takes some weeks until you feel it working if you’re taking just 1-2 gr per day.

Will do! Don’t mind saving some bucks on NOW. I can’t stop speaking highly of this company though, I get my L-Carnitine and Acetyl L- Carnitine from them and the prices are great, considering these two products are very expensive elsewhere. Plus the quality is amazing.
If your looking to add lead to the pencil try horny goat weed. It takes about a week to kick in and is usually cheaper than maca. Don’t take it if your single though, as your arms seem to get tired.
I’ve read that Maca and HGW makes a nice couple. I gave it a weeks run, but I felt no difference.

Sorry M&M, my last statement wasn’t entirely accurate. The product I’m using is Natures Bounty. It contains 500mg for HGW and 300mg of MacaPure per serving. I started taking it a few years ago while dating a sexual tyrannosaurus. She picked it up from Walmart for less than $8. I have a healthy sexual appetite but this took it to the next level. As Gegogi said, it takes away from other important things in life. 
It took a week or so to kick in, but the results were impressive. Cheers.
I’ve heard of Natures Bounty … I see a lot of it in our local Health Food Store (expensive as $hit, since it’s the only ONE in our little town). I bought Now Foods’ L-arginine from them for 18.00, and has now gone up to 21.00 … DPS Nutrition has it for 8.95!

There might be better manufacturers, but this one works for me and is inexpensive compared to others. If you try it use the whole bottle before giving up. Some websites claim 7-14 days before kicking in. I doubled the dosage for a week before going to Thailand.
