Here it is (Just click on the links) > A Natasha Bedingfield song & A Katharine McPhee song & A Dido song

Thanks

Hi PhatSounds,

I liked the Katherine McPhee and Dido songs because they had a nice beat to them but not the Natascha Beddingfield one. I’m not a great fan of her singing there, it seemed as if she were trying to hard to put emotion into the song. Whereas the other two were lighter in their approach, leaving the listener to put whatever’s in their heart into the tunes.

Does it make sense?

Hello Takhisis, thanks for your opinion on the songs that i put out here  Hmm, well yes you got a point , Natasha Bedingfield song is like she trying too hard to express her emotion into the song which i noticed when i seen her music video  Well good to hear you like the other two songs.

I got another one from Dido(click on the link)> Another Dido song
Tell me what you think about it & as for me it is one of my favourite  ( A hint there, a lot of girls like the guy who is in this Music Video  )

I love Dido’s White Flag song. It was a top 40 hit here about 4 or 5 years ago. Here’s a couple more by her that I really like:

Dido - Don’t Think Of Me

Dido - Leaving On A Jet Airplane](http://democomputer.com/forum_images/Dido - I’m Leaving On a Jet Plane.wma) This is a remake of the 60’s song by Peter, Paul and Mary.

They both are ok

I have a love/hate relationship with the Dido song. Back when I first met my ex-wife, we were in a long distance relationship. When I had crappy days, I’d listen to it and it would remind me of her and cheer me up. When I was going through with my divorce, I’d get drunk and throw it on infinite loop until I cried myself to sleep.

I sure are pathetic. LOL

EDIT: I’m referring to the first Dido song Phatsounds posted, “Thank You”.

-D4

Hmm, you too like that song mark, so it was in top 40 about 4 or 5 years ago which i did not know until you told me now. Thanks for the info

Those two songs of yours is unique & interesting especially that song Dido - Leaving On A Jet Airplane:slight_smile: I used to hear that song some years back  Thanks for sharing these songs mark

Thanks damu33 for your opinion there

Hmm, it seem that song have a memorable rememberance to you data4, well i can say that song is very touching & sentimental  Don’t say that you are pathetic as we are all human beings with a soft side in ourselves.

I do love Dido and the song Leaving on a jet plane. Do you remember in Armageddon when Ben Affleck sings it to Liv Tyler? Maaaaan, that was so sweet.

Data, it’s weird, there are songs like that. I have some songs (from Death Cab for Cutie) that I listened to around the time that my mom died and every time I heard them for a long time, I’d burst into tears.

I do remember, and that was an awesome movie too!

As to hearing a song and bursting into tears, I really wouldn’t call it weird. Music and aroma are two of the strongest triggers at evoking memories. Ever smelled something cooking on the stove and get transported back to another time and place? I can hear certain songs and suddenly I’m 12 years old again riding my bike down the street and I can picture every house and every detail. Or find myself in my car driving down the road with an old girlfriend.

Mark, now that you mention it, yes it does. I love those little trips down memory lane because they’re usually good memories.
