There is a difference between the an alphamale and a high status man.
First of all let me define the actions of a high status man.
It is a person who amongst his social peers becomes the leading influence by exerting what ever means maybe nessasary in order to achiev the highest rank of status within his social setting.
In order to achieve and manage this very difficult position, the most fundimental quallity attributed to a high status male is a high level of internal and external awarness. This awarness is then expressed as social intelligence, emotional intelligence, pollitical correctness, tact, and all other aspects of intelligent social behavior. Correct me if Im wrong but are these traits not not inherently BETA?
When observing wildlife (gorrila’s for example) it is often noted that the ability to lead through brute strength and often violent behavior is fundamental to the Alpha male of his pack. This is why we often associate bullyish behavior with the alpha male status amongst humans, however, in order to become a leading figure of status within our social standing, a more passive aggresive behavior has to be adopted.
In the vast majority of cases high status individuals will avoid overtly brutish behavior for the simple fact that in the vast majority of cases it does not get you where you want to be.
Trust is a fundamental part of leadership within our society, therefore a leader must create trust among his social circle in order to lead them. Most people with any intelligence realise that dictatorships only work for so long before people go crazy and over throw you.
Now having listed the beta qualities that a leader must posses it seems quite obvious that in order to even have the inclination to become a leader, the person in question must have a very strong alpha trait within his personality.
A Leader after all has to have balls! In order to rebuff agressive alphamale competitors he has to be able to role with the punches so to speak and be able to hit back, he has to have the qualities of agression determination ruthlessness and all the other alpha qualities.
I therefore recon that the high status individual has a strong balance balance of both alpha and beta traits. Essencially I would say that a leader has an Alpha skeleton and Beta flesh and muscle. Or something close to that!
