If you have read my journal will see that I am currently going through bit of a challenge.
There have been some strange things going on with me which I have recently noticed. For example these days I find myself being in a bad negative state of mind where it feels like the world is falling apart around me. But then sometimes out of the blue, it may be a smell, a thought, a image I would suddenly feel a surge of confidence shoot through me, I feel I can take over the world, have any women, more turned on, take on any challenge regardless of the odds, my constant headache would disappear, general a much better place then before. This may last for an hour then it’s back to either a neutral state of back to the normal crap state.
I have been noticing this now more often since I have been using mones, but normally this reaction happens on the days when I do not use mones.
Has anyone been through this, know what is going on?
I know this is the wrong place to get a clinical diagnosis, but I am more interested in peoples advice and stories of anything similar.
Change your mind and you change your world. I’ve posted it many times, may places, you can either look upon the world as a challenge that creates a block, or a challenge that creates opportunity.
I appreciate what you said and realise that matter. However when one is in the eye of the storm it is very difficult to see the light. It looks as if everything around supports the mental facade that one is projecting. It feels like there is a total war waging within me between the two different believe systems ripping me apart which is resulting in such opposing reactions.
I suppose one tool is to find more people who think a certain way that I would like to, but getting to those social circles seems like a difficult task in itself. I am finding out that there are no outright answers, but it boils down to either do it or…there is no “or not”.
It isn’t something to be ashamed of, although it is a private medical matter. I have problems with anxiety and panic attacks. These in turn, by burning up the neurotransmitters too fast, predispose me to chronic depression. I only talk about it when I feel it may help someone, but I’m not ashamed of it. It’s a little like epilepsy - something wrong in the wiring.
FWIW, I am also going through surgical menopause, and find that causes some really wild and sometimes nasty mood roller coasters.
Sometimes medication to get through the rough spots is a welcome relief. It should never be on its own, however, but always combined with counseling in order to learn to cope with whatever stress mechanisms are causing or exacerbating the problem.
I say don’t go with medication. Most medication in my experience actually brings you down further by just making you apathetic, not happy. You might be suffering depression from a varied number of things. Personally, I see a lot of people with vitamin deficient lifestyles and or diets and suffer from depression. Especially vitamin D during the winter months. Really there is many natural remedies too help: Working out (breaking a good sweat) Sunlight Organic Fruit Sleeping when it gets dark and rising with the sun Cutting out pop and simple sugar all stuff that may seem simple, but can really augment your quality of life and happiness.
I will concur on living a healthy and optimistic lifestyle, exercise, eating healthy, getting lots of sun, spending time with your family and friends etc. as all of these things may help and certainly couldn’t hurt.
However I do not have 8+ years of formal training in medical issues, I never passed a test to become a licensed doctor or psychologist and given that fact I will never advise somebody against medication. It’s not my place and not a responsibility I care to shoulder.
My advice is to see a professional. If you want to try the natural methods in conjunction with some counseling at first then great, but if progress isn’t made then talk to your doctor about medications. If a licensed and educated professional advises them, then it might be a good idea.
By staying away from drugs I mainly mean pharmaceuticals that many doctors today push for monetary gain (and aren’t so much interested in your health). I do believe in holistic doctors who can help you, but I have a slight prejudice against doctors because from my understanding of the educational system (and I could be wrong) they aren’t taught anything more than BASIC nutrition which is where the majority of societies current day health problems arise from.
I’m not advising anyone for or against professional care, I’m just expressing my opinion (and a logical one at that!) that having a good foundation and a healthy body should come first before medication.
And then there is me, who already lives a healthy lifestyle and trying to make it healthier all the time - and STILL has anxiety and panic attacks UNLESS I TAKE MY DOCTOR-PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS. Unless you’ve had the experience of being told your spouse might die, or you might have cancer, and lying awake all night in bed, curled in a fetal position, in a cold sweat, trembling uncontrollably, you cannot possibly know what it is to deal with such a thing. Or the relief that comes with controlling it. If you met me now you would have no idea I had that kind of problem. And I have no side-effects.
Just because something might not have worked for you doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for anybody.
I know the feeling of depression and I’m going through that now, as a male, for me it seems to have an effect on my sex drive, motivation and self-belief, it was fine a few months ago.
When it gets bad, medication can improve mental health, but therapy and being able to talk through issues with people, family or professionals, is important too.
I’m not on medication currently and haven’t been for about half a year, I’d rather beat depression naturally at this stage because I don’t want any side effects from drugs, have had enough of them, mainly weight gain.
I apologize Boudicca, I didn’t mean to insult anyone or anyones belief’s here. I just understand from my first hand experience with my self and the people that I love and care for that, pharmaceuticals and prescriptions have never had any long lasting benefits. I’m not saying that I have the cure for your’s or any one else’s problems. It is just my opinion that using certain isolated compounds as a way to inhibit certain hormonal responses in the body, although help to control your panic attacks won’t cure anything and won’t help you the minute you don’t have them within reach.
I like to suggest friends to hollistic practices because unlike medicating, generally hollistic treatment actually causes a progression of aid to who ever.
If your trying to make your lifestyle healthier, then clearly your life style isn’t at it’s best, which may be why your suffering. In fact, I have heard of nutritional deficiencies leading to panic attacks. A hollistic practitioner would most likely test you to see if you have toxic levels of heavy metals in your adipose tissue which has been known to cause adverse affects on the nervous system, or even a deficiency in minerals can lead to anxiety attacks vs. a normal physician who is bribed in to medicating you.
But if you are happy with where you are in life and suffer from nothing else then congratulations to you, enjoy your life.
Firstly, I suggest that you get the constant headache checked out. It is not normal to have a constant headache-( I was told this by a neurologist.)
I have no medical training. I do work with individuals with various mental health issues and disabilities. My suggestion is to go to professionals. There are so many resources available to you! A variety of professionals working together with different skills who can see and talk to you and give you a proper diagnosis will give you a better idea of what is going on. Usually it is recommended to try a few things together- medical, ( a check up by a doctor can see if there are medical problems- for ex thyroid) emotional, some one who works with nutrition/exercize, a psychiatrist. I strongly believe that combination of approaches by many professionals working together leads to the best outcome.
I have met and worked with many people, some of whom take medication and some of whom do not*.* This is in no way a diagnosis or even an opinion about your posts, just a suggestion about what I think you should do, given the way that you have been feeling. Mood swings like the ones you report can be perfectly normal or caused by medical problems, emotional issues, even life changes and stress. however, some very normal, perfectly healthy and creative people have mood swings. I was told once that if some thing interferes with your life then it is a problem. Does it interfere with your life?
All I can report is from years of experience working with people. In some cases, like mental health issues such as schizophrenia, severe depression, bipolar disorder- without medication people are miserable, can not function, and when they go off their meds ( which happens frequently, because they often believe they do not need medication) all hell breaks lose. In some cases people do very well without medication and use biofeed back, exercize, diet, counseling. The very best results where people function well and are happy and can go on with their lives, and can thrive, most often have been when people have lots of different support- see lots of different people, have friends and family and professionals working together as a team to prevent side effects as much as possible and to make sure that there are lots of people to help when it gets tough. There is no quick fix and no right way to decide what to do, or a choice between natural methods and medication for every given situation. It is always a trade off-just like most things in life. You have to decide what works best for your body and mind. It is also important to know that many types of medication do not change your personality, deaden your feelings or make you some one you are not, from what I have been told by doctors. People are often frightened to take medicine because they fear that they will change- but the right medication at the right dose for the right reason will not do that, it will simply correct the chemical imbalance which is causing the problem. Side effects are a problem but worth it to many people because they get their lives back. People don’t have to pick a certain philosophy( natural vr medication) to get healthy- there is room for natural methods, nutrition, counseling, exercize, medication, any thing that works well for you. Don’t limit yourself until you have done some research and then do what works. if it does not work find something that does. Find a support system of open minded pros.
Back again, thank you for all your input from everyone.
I did see a doctor and they did say it was depression, also the headache is more related to stress which makes my muscles in the head tense up.
The things that trigger very bad episodes of depression and anxiety are my current environment, like certain family members, work situation/future and to some degree being single. But the work situation/future is the most concerning matter.
Also turning 30 did not help, there is a sudden shock to the system, long gone are the “you have plenty of time” 20s.
The idea of using mones was to help make something of myself in regards to interacting with people to get somewhere.
I do eat healthy, exercise five times a week, take plenty of vitamins and water.
This is probably why my results with mones feel tainted, I am not clearly in the right mind to make the best out of them.
But saying that, as I mentioned in my journal, A314 did bring a certain clarity to my situation of where I thought I was in terms of persona and behavior, but in reality far from it.
So glad that you are getting some help and some clarity. Please keep at it!get all the support that you need from the professionals that you pick because you feel that you can respect and like them, and keep on looking until you have found the right people to support you. Depression can come and go but there are many people who find the best solution for themselves, which is different for different people. Also I hope that you have someone who will look in on you from time to time, just to give you a fresh perspective. It really helps to get another opinion when you are looking inward. Lastly, give yourself the same care and compassion that you would extend to others-remember the child you were once and treat yourself tenderly. If you look outward and focus on how you could assist others in your position, you can turn this hardship into a way to become more compassionate, and more able to assist other people who have the same struggle that you have. Some of the most loving and compassionate people I have ever met are people who have has to struggle with depression. After the depression is behind you-(with what ever form of assistance you need,) you are better able to help others, should you want to.Best wishes from your local happycarol
