This forum has been a pheromone community for years, there’s a reason it’s “pheromonetalk.com”.
Based on your attitude and misconceptions on attraction (which by the way has been studied on in depth by social-psychologists and experts in human behavior; I did a major university project on it) it is no mystery why women are repulsed by you. You really can’t use your looks as an excuse. If you spent any time dealing with women or watching social interactions you would see that tons of guys with magnetic personalities get beautiful girls over guys who look like models. It doesn’t even take long to realize it.
If your friend is on a quest to improve his life, his self-image and is happy doing it, it is a shame he has a friend like you setting him back this way. The attitude and mindset you provide him is most likely what is still causing this lack of progress. If he’s smart and is serious about improving himself, the first thing he should do is either to tell you to keep your comments to yourself or break the friendship. I don’t mean to sound like I’m attacking you, it’s just the truth.
The most important attitude that one can adopt from the PUA mindset is the desire to improve, the rest is just an approach that might not be for you, but it does work for many, many men.
I’m 5’6 used to weigh 125 pounds and although I have been blessed with some good features I have all my life been blessed with the company and yes a good amount of sexual experiences since I was a teen. I am now 165 pounds, buff, but maybe a few pounds overweight and my success with women is even greater than ever. Not saying I’ve ever been a huge player, but I have dated beautiful, intelligent, women I chose not because I limited myself to thinking “this is as good as I can get”, but rather just going for those that I just had to pursue.
Over the years I have heard girls call me “handsome”, “good looking”, “cute”, “too short”, "not my type, and even “ugly”. Pretty much everything in the spectrum. It has made me not really know where on the looks scale I fall into, but my attitude and personality has always helped tip the scales on the positive side. However, not only is beauty in the eyes of the beholder, but in the dating game only a factor. Not saying that a truly horrific guy who is terribly groomed and smells awful can expect his personality to make up for it, but extremes are never good examples.
It works the other way too; my best friend attracts huge numbers of girls because of his looks, but his insecure personality makes his sucess with them limited.
ps. I’m not a PUA or associated with any PUA community. Also I sound harsh, but you have been much more to one of your apparently “good” friends.
pps. I see this topic has been nominated for topic of the week. Although the discussion that arises from it is interesting, I don’t think the topic starter should be rewarded for the insulting comments he posted about another person.
