Hmm, Sugar, methinks the before mentioned really depends on the culture, age and geographic area. Here in Honolulu–mostly mixed Asian community–women chase all the time. However they tend to be more subtle and sneakier about it than men. That is, they’re in full control of the hunt but tend to make the guy think he’s doing the chasing when in fact he merely walked into her well laid trap.

Not that you know of. For instance, I will tell a guy I don’t want kids. That could mean I don’t want kids …now, or I do want kids with his genes…or I don’t want to scare him…another trap. But if the guy says he doesn’t want kids ever, he is on the low priority list. If he’s hot and there is chemsitry, there may be possibilities. I have been know to get drunk and horny while single. I have also been known to rub it in an exes face, like oh…is this your best friend…didn’t u imply my girlfriend was cuter and smarter than me? In that case this lucky bastard won a free one.

I know there are women who chase, they are not dumb or unattractive. They really view themselves as a take charge kind of women. Yes men love that. The constant struggle here is they complain about why guys don’t do things to please them. Other women and some protective men will say duh! Cuz you chased him. He has you. There are even claims that the more alpha, career oriented a woman is, the less success she has with the man. Not to bed him but to keep him.

I do know one thing, breaking up with women like these can be life threatening. Her wrath is just as intense as her pursuit.

Again in the book the Red Queen, it brings up another species where the female will chase after a male, and she will pretty much control is ass, to make sure he is around to take care of the babies. She usually picks the beta male the one she can control.

Again this is a biological thing not something we are consciously aware of until you really think about it.

And then there is another species where the males have to spread as many seeds as possible as a form of continuing his species.

And there is a species where the males chase and actually sticks around to protect the babies with the female.

And there is one where the female impregnates the male and watches over him until it hatches! The list goes on.

Humans seem to have a combination of types. I suspect the more sophisticated the species the better it’s strategy to continue it’s kind. Whether you know it or not your urges are basically to continue our species. I suspect the number of guys who don’t want kids have increased probably has something to do with overpopulation. Perhaps there was a strategy built in place to make sure if we get to good at reproducing there are measures to control it.
