I’ve come to realize that I like my pheromones unscented for flexibility in personal cover scents. Any information or advice on how to avoid the huge price jump for unscented pheromones at Androtics? Since putatives are custom made anyways, I don’t understand the 50 dollar hike to not put in one of their scents. I feel like I’m missing something. Thanks in advance for the help and information.
Yes. I would love to have a few of them blank. Did not know you could get them that way here.

Mainly its because unscented pheros tend not to diffuse very well, so lose a lot of their effectiveness. The extra charge is to deter people from buying them and using them like normal products - which is mostly doomed to failure because pheros do need some kind of scent to diffuse. Then of course the pheros do have scents of their own and this will become more prominent more quickly as they break down - usually not in a good way.
Unscented does have its place in mixing from putatives/experimones, where the mixer is going to be incorporating their own scent as part of the mix and by the time someone demonstrates thay have grasped the basics of that, they do tend to waive the unscented fee but TBH, that is a pretty advanced application.
What scents have you been using up to now? Because if you stick to 6% neroli or even 6% Akuto, you will have a scent that will allow you to layer a goodly number of sprays which will still settle to a background level after 30 minutes or so and you can cover these with any scent you choose.
Sorry, I am a bit confused. Can’t one just apply cologne, wait a few minutes and the apply mones over the same spot? Shouldn’t this work quite well as far as diffusion is concerned?
Thank you.
It will work but not particularly well. Going with a phero already bound to a scent will do quite a bit better.
slightly unrelated, but I have a question I have been meaning to ask…
At work, people cannot smell the scent of my pheromone colognes, and I was wondering if they have to be able to smell them to work? for example, they cannot smell my summer ammo unless they are right on top of me (literally) and this is with three sprays, so even if they cannot smell it, will it still be effective?
Done properly, pheros don’t need a lot of scent to diffuse well - The scent simply acts as a carrier and to help stem breakdown, so you don’t need to be stinking of cologne to make them effective. This is why the more muted scents of oil base pheros can often be better in a work environment where strong scents can be difficult.
Although I’d find it hard to believe that three sprays Summer Ammo would be hard to smell in any indoor environment - I find it persists pretty well.
Similarly, with unscented products, you will need a much more prominent scent/much higher dose to get similar diffusion to mixed.
everywhere else I go, people can smell the ammo SE pretty well, but it just seems to disappear at work, haven’t figured it out yet.
And I’ve been told that the A314 spray (A) smells kinda like baby powder or baby wipes… and i’m not to fond of the smell myself, does the oil smell the same?
No not all scents will bind with the mones. You need to use added binders and binding scents. If a cologne dosent have sufficient binders the scent will diffuse but the mones will remain on or close to the body.
In all Androtic products the binders used are in the scent pack. Unscented is really for expert users who know how to mix and bind the molecules,

I have used unscented androstenone wet wipes before and I discovered a big problem - one can overdose very easily without a scent to guide you on exactly how much u’ve used ( after some severe OD I never used pheromone whipes again cause though there are pheromone there - u never know how much and it seemed - alot
).So using mones without scent is more difficult and u have to be very experienced user as to know how much exactly to apply. If you make a mistake and overdose you get the opposite effect and nobody wants that.
Humidity might be a factor - too much can markedly supress both phero and secnt diffusion. Also air movement - Is your work air conditioning on the fearsome side?
Nope - Akuto is not a powdery/baby wipe scent at all. More a light musk scent. Oil is the same basic scent but further modified with plant musks, giving it a more distinctive “hippy-shit” scent. However, this settles very light after half an hour or so from application and you will barely notice it but it will still diffuse well (Rev31 excepted of course!) - Which is what makes the oil so good for use in low-scent work environments where strong colognes are frowned upon.
Ok, thank you, this is making sense to me now.
If you have a moment, if one knows for certain that a particular scent or cologne (Sold via a reputable mone vendor) has the requisite binders then would you advocate applying the scent/cologne first and waiting a few minutes before mone app or is just mixing (scent/cologne with mone) and then applying a better proposition? I realize people will want faster/slower diffusion based on various factors (Climate, target etc..) but I am speaking in very general terms only.
Sorry, I know this topic has been covered to DEATH. Its just that I have unscented mones from other vendors and have not really had any issues with diffusion across disparate environments but am intrigued with the idea that I can possibly better my results. I am a sweaty bastard so perhaps this makes all the difference?
Thank you again.
Ahh, I live in Houston, closer to Galveston, so it is humid beyond belief down here
but my job is barely air conditioned, my boss is cheap. any thoughts on how to improve the effect?
I’ll try applying the A314 30 minutes before heading in.
There are some posts here from someone in your neck of the woods who did manage to find an answer - OTOH, he ended-up mixing sprays into scented light moisturiser, which helped. I’ll try to have a root-around later if the forum is still up for me!
TBH, ditching unscented mones ought to help you no-end. I started out that way and moving to AD and other better quality scented pheros helped no-end in consistency and economy.
Also, you will find that unscented + cover will still have a much narrower effective temp range compared to a scented product. I ended-up using-up most of my unscented mones in clubs and the like, where the conditions promoted diffusion (and breakdown!) covered with AD socials and cologne.
Do not ever mix your pheromone product into commercial cologne or any other carrier. This is from Michael Harris (founder here and developer of our product line): Your Skin is a Pheromone Mixing Canvas
Anyone who recommends mixing it in a bottle has not fully understood what chemicals can be put into those commercial fragrances that are harmful to molecules. Or even the construction of the pheromone in the first place. Also, you can not guarantee a proper dosage or mixing.
Best thing to do would be to spray the cologne onto your skin, and then spray your pheromone on top of it. Unless you are using a fragrance concentrate, molecule from scratch (not a finished product) and proper perfumer’s alcohol with calibrated instrumentation - then layering is the superior and correct way.
General terms are always good
I know this sounds very minor but if anyone sells you un*scented *pheromones then either they have a misunderstanding of what a pheromone is or you are not actually getting real pheromones.
What you are asking for is unfragranced.
For you to say unscented is okay, because you’re not selling them to anyone, I don’t want you to think I’m saying anything bad about you using the wrong term - I don’t expect everybody in the world to know everything - but there is a big difference. Pheromones have a scent. Real pheromones do, anyway. It is now they work.
Always make the clarification with people you’re doing business with and keep them honest.
That being said, I love how helpful everyone has been for you and it makes me proud to be here. ![]()
Enjoy!!!

Thanks, I appreciate the link and the advice. And the advice of Tisha & Mobo as well.
I think the vast majority of mone users understand that mones do indeed smell if not stink though I am happy to use the term “unfragranced” as opposed to “unscented” if it suites you. Though my wording is no different than what others in this thread have used, some highly experienced presumably.
FYI, I have purchased mones from another vendor who labels unfragranced mones as “unscented” which do work extremely well labeling notwithstanding (For myself and a host of other users judging by reviews). But this is the AD board so I will not get into it any further.
Regards.
Its semantics, I guess. But for our purposes here, I was just making sure you understood the difference because a surprising amount of people don’t - and people selling these things should really know. I saw unscented copulins once and I almost fell out of my chair! Doesn’t seem quite honest to me, because people will expect it to have zero smell if thats what you’re advertising. Which is why we stick with the correct term: Unfragranced.
Getting over being obsessive, I’m glad you’re finding a great resource here.
Oil is great for the warm and humidity, it loves it. If you have the spray, I’d consider getting the oil on restock.
Ok John,
How about this? You get me a functioning A314 batch and I promise I will never use the word “unscented” again!
