Young people crave self-esteem more than sex

:open_mouth:

Sex is the biggest boast to my self-esteem so the study sounds a bit hosed.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. Isn’t sex a compliment?

I see two trains of thought here. One, our society is becoming so consumed in what people think of us that we’re more concerned with their feelings towards us than our feeling towards ourselves and this is most noticeable in the younger generations. Or, two, our society is continuing to evolve and becoming less concerned with the bare necessities of food, shelter/well-being/money, and procreation.

Or they could be lying.

I think I’m going to start a business where people can buy compliments and females can trade sex for compliments. The more elaborate the compliment the higher the price or kinkier the sex

I have a problem with people who are constantly seeking compliments and get dejected and downright rude if one isn’t recieved. I do things because I want to not for compliments. Some people just don’t do things out of the goodness of their hearts anymore. They are looking for something from you in return. Which is against the whole concept of doing something nice for someone IMO.

I’m obviously getting old.
