I’m brand new and it looks like it takes a while for messages to make it onto the forum. I’ve been reading other people’s relationship sagas and it looks like some of you give very good advice. So do you have some for me?
I’m resorting to pheromones to try to win back (even if only temporarily) the absolute love of my life, who happens to be 15 yrs younger than I am. We had a rocky relationship for over a year, and then he moved a long way away for another year - we saw each other three times (7-8 days total) during that year, and did have sex when we saw each other. Last time was just two months ago. Now he’s back, and he’s saying we’re done sleeping together - which is something I’ve already heard many times.
Earlier this week we met for drinks and then sat for an hour and a half in his car, talking. He let me play with his hair and touch him over his clothes, but if my face got too close to his or my hand too close to his … um… lap, he’d pull away and say no, it’s over. I know that supposedly guys will never turn down sex, but this is a complicated situation. And historically … he hasn’t ever managed to effectively say no to me and mean it. So I’m hoping pheromones will be enough to push him over the edge this time and make him not even want to mean it.
I’m kind of skeptical about pheromones, but obviously desperate enough to try them, so I hope the instant sexiness and instant honesty to go bottles I ordered actually work. After searching the internet, it looks like Pherlure is the only product out there that’s been reviewed by “legitimate” sources, i.e. Dateline NBC. And most products are designed for men to attract women, and not the other way around, so I really hope what I ordered is “real” and is going to be effective. I’d love to be able to post a success story. After reading this forum I was persuaded to order from here (and having ‘to go’ sizes didn’t hurt either) so I have read a lot of what’s on this forum, but I’d still appreciate any advice specific to my situation.
I’ve actually never had a problem attracting men. To be honest, having a 2 yr relationship with my target, considering our circumstances, is proof of that. How do I say this - I’ve had friends get upset over my ability to attract men. I don’t understand it or do it intentionally, but I’ve had enough experience to know that I give off some kind of sexy or seductive vibe that can be intimidating to both sexes. Women can be hostile, and although it’s generally strangers, it has happened with women I know. At my first job out of college my boss told me other women would never like me because of the way I looked - which is not even close to a bombshell look, by the way. I generally avoid eye contact with men, because if I don’t I’ve learned there’s generally going to be interest and I don’t want to deal with that. Really, once I felt interested in my target guy, I knew I could have him. A little eye contact, standing too close, a touch on the arm … I knew he was in the bag, substantial objections notwithstanding.
So I know I have some kind of sex kitten thing going on, which at my age has clearly become that “cougar” thing, and he was obviously attracted to that, and if anything I think he’s used it as his mental excuse. Like he hasnt “been able” to say no to me. I’m not planning on using the instant sexiness when I’m not going to be with him so I’m not worried about sending the wrong men the wrong signals, but I am a little worried about overwhelming him. He already knows I want him, so I don’t need a scent that tells him that. I need a scent that tells him that he wants me. Is instant sexiness going to do that?
The instant honesty sounds like a good bet. Sometimes he feels very close to me and comforted and tells me everything, but other times he tries to put emotional distance between us. I like him to feel close to me, and I like feeling close to him, too.
Another thing I should say is that in general, people tell me things. Friends tell me their darkest secrets; total strangers tell me really personal things. I’ve always attributed it to being a good listener - that I’m interested in other people’s feelings and it shows - but maybe it’s been my own pheromones all along! So I don’t know how easy it’s going to be to objectively evaluate the effectiveness of either formula. Men already like me, people already confide in me… I’m really just looking for a boost with this one person.
When I see him this week it’s going to be during the day, and we’ll be alone, not in public, if that helps with dosing advice or whatever.
I’m really rambling here … any advice or feedback will be welcome. Thanks!
