Thanks, Dee! Yeah, would be great to have more gay men and women reporting their experience. I’ll take one for the team until then. As for IH, I definitely was reminding myself that I had IH on! I’ll save IH for people I already know.
SITUATION: Dentist, root extraction. Oh, joy.
I lost a tooth from a bar fight a few years back. (Shut up. It was a bar fight!) I’ve been using a denture until my insurance got up to speed for a dental implant. This is the first step of the process, removing the root.
PHEROMONES:
I spray of P74 (50 mcg/spray) on neck
1 spray of IG (1x) on neck
This might be a good mix for a dental appointment. I’m hoping that P74 will make everyone friendly and social, including myself, while IG will still garner me respect.
OBSERVATIONS:
Jeez, blood pressure was higher than normal. A lot higher. Didn’t feel anxious or nervous, so we decided to go ahead with the extraction. As it turned out, the darn root was stubborn. The dentist spent over an hour extracting it! When he finally got the root out, we all celebrated and high-fived each other. He offered the root to me, but I told him he should keep it as a trophy.
ASSESSMENT:
I’ll need to rethink different mones for the dentist. Didn’t need the friendliness of social aspect of P74. I already knew my dentist for at least 12 years. What I needed was something to help me zone out. The constant pushing and tugging was unsettling at times. I kept wriggling my feet around and twirling my thumbs. By the time I left, I was pretty darn spacey because of the prolonged adrenaline rush. Didn’t feel grounded at all, despite having IG.
In six weeks, I go back to get the implant post. I think I’ll use P96 and P103 to help me keep calm. I’ve experimented with them recently and I’ll continue experimenting with them meantime. (I write about my experience later.) When I leave the dentist, I’ll use IG or P75 to ground me.
Any suggestions? Or should I just use Xanax?
I find P74 will have people really connecting with you and yes a lot of touching. I usually wear around 10 MCG and find women will want hugs and guys want to shake my hand and touch me on my back a lot.
I don’t have any experience with P75 or IG so I can’t comment there.
P96 I have great success with to. For me it seems people act on how they feel. I find when paired with anything with Androstenone it really makes things come alive in women. I can even wear more androstenone without being over bearing or irritating guys. This seems to buffer androstenone.
Hey, Justintime! After my time at the dentist, I realized that maybe I should try these for self-effects rather than social, to control the anxiety of having someone so close to your face for an hour and doing who-knows-what to your teeth. P74 and IG didn’t do it for me. But your advice is good for social situations!
I like your idea about P96 - people acting on how they feel. That makes sense, which may or may not be appropriate for a business situation. In a purely social situation, why not? When I used P96 with TUTH (and IG), that seemed to have a powerful effect on the bi guy. I’ll see how much TUTH I can get away with when paired with P96.
For the dentist, I’d suggest P135 (15 mcg) to back of neck and bring your Ipod (if they let you). It will send you on a delicious cloud for an hour and a half and it will be like you cannot care less about what happens in the outside world.
Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely check it out.
SITUATION: Date with Stud Muffin
He’s the guy I met at my open house. I asked him out to lunch, so this is our first meeting, one-on-one. We met at a Chinese restaurant.
PHEROMONES:
1 spray P96 (50 mcg/spray) to forearm
1 spray IG (1x) to forearm
2 sprays TUTH (1x) to upper chest, throat
This is a similar combo that I used when I first met him. (Instead of TUTH, I was wearing IO.) It’s also the same combo when I met the bi guy a couple weeks back. I wanted to see how this combo would work in this particular situation.
OBSERVATIONS:
We met at the restaurant and gave each other a hug. After we were seated, we started chatting about our day. Conversation was very fluid, natural, and engaging. When I found out he was 25 (23 years my junior!), we repeatedly made fun our generational differences. There was continued laughter and smiling as we teased each other. We took our time eating lunch because we were talking so much. We must have taken 1 1/2 hours to get through our lunch
Afterwards, we went to a nearby coffee shop for an iced drink. We stood outside the place and chatted some more. He asked me if I lived alone. I realized then that he didn’t know I was married. I thought he knew since I wear a wedding band. I told him I have a spouse, and he met him at the open house. I then showed him a photo of The Man on my phone. He finally remembered who he was.
After that, the conversation got a bit more personal. We talked about his dating history, or lack there of. I invited him to join me at a gay function I’m attending in a couple weeks. We must have chatted for another 20 minutes before we hugged and went our separate ways. He said I should text him if I want to hang out again. I said he could also text me. In a playful voice, he said, “No. You text me.”
On the way home, he sent me a text, “Thanks for having lunch with me. I owe you a beer. It was fun!”
When I got home, I sent him an email saying I was sorry for having misled him. It was an error on my part in assuming he knew I was married. Because of the way we flirted earlier, I thought he was OK with seeing a guy who’s attached. I said I’m OK being just friends, though. Wouldn’t want to let go of a connection by a simple misunderstanding.
He responded back that he wasn’t aware of my relationship when we first met and wouldn’t want to be involved in an open relationship (too complicated), but he’s very willing to hang out with me as a friend. He said he’s going to pick the next place for lunch.
ASSESSMENT:
In public, a lot of gay men, including myself, are cautious about overt flirting or PDA. But, I can at least say the playful teasing we shared with each other was the most overt hits I can count on. Based on the questions we asked each other, there was genuine interest in learning about each other.
As for self-effects, I didn’t feel as confident going into this situation as I did with the bi guy. Not sure why since I felt extremely confident when I met him at the open house. The only thing different was TUTH instead of IO. Maybe if we were in a pub setting, I would have been much more confident. But we were in a Chinese restaurant during lunch hour. Wrong mone for the setting?
Overall, we communicated very openly and freely. We knew how to push each other’s buttons, and we did it playfully. Even after he found out I was in a relationship, I didn’t sense any overt change in his behavior or change of voice. If anything, he was more willing to share his experiences with guys.
His response to my email was gentle, probably a carry over effect of P96 smoothing out relations and IG retaining respect. He’s still willing to hang out with me, so I regard that as a worthwhile outcome. He’ll make a very good friend. I’ll likely continue wearing IG and P96, too. These mones helped keep our conversation genuine and friendly.
Great journal, SUBSCRIBED ![]()
SITUATION: Poly support group
The meeting was small with 7 people, but everyone there was had been to at least one previous meeting.
PHEROMONES:
2 sprays of IShine (1x) split between neck and forearms
2 sprays of IO (1x) split between neck and forearms
OBSERVATIONS:
Everyone seemed to have their time in the light. No one was excluded from the conversation. There was lots of laughing and teasing. At times, the conversation was especially loud and animated. We did talk about poly issues, and everyone was very supportive of each other. We hung out together for 3 hours.
ASSESSMENT:
This was the perfect combo for this meeting. Discussions were very fluid, natural, and almost constant. There was a free-flowing effect that lifted everyone’s mood. I also felt very social and talkative, something that is new to me. I’m looking forward to using this combo when new members show up.
SITUATION: Cleaning the kitchen
I hate cleaning the kitchen. It’s tedious, and I’d rather watch golf on TV than clean the kitchen. (I don’t play golf, so this goes to show how much I hate cleaning the kitchen.)
PHEROMONE:
1 spray of P96 (50 mcg/spray) to neck.
I figured I’d give this a go solo to test its self-effects.
OBSERVATIONS:
I got this putative in Himalayan scent, which is very gentle. Smells close to a musk scent I used to wear in college. Immediately after spraying, I felt a sense of calm and inner peace. I wanted to clean my kitchen, and normally I dread it because it can be very tedious. I sometimes get stressed and anxious when cleaning the kitchen. This time, I felt like cleaning my kitchen out of self-love. I wanted my kitchen to look beautiful.
I was at peace in going through the many steps of putting things away, taking care of recycling, wiping down the counters, unloading and loading the dishwasher, and scrubbing the pots. I even went through my pantry and tossed out a bunch of expired food and reorganized the cabinets.
ASSESSMENT:
I like this putative. It calms me down and inspires me to create a more loving and accepting environment. I didn’t feel stressed, angry, or anxious about having to clean the kitchen. I also didn’t quit midway and play video games to distract myself from the tedious monotony. I felt like it was something I wanted to do out of self-love.
When my partner came home, he was really impressed with how well I had cleaned the kitchen, including reorganizing the pantry. He said Himalayan smelled like baby powder, though. He didn’t care for the scent. I like this putative, so next time I’ll try it in World scent.
SITUATION: Taking my 17 year-old cat to the vet.
PHEROMONE:
1 spray P75 (3.75 mcg/spray) to neck
The vet’s office is all female. I wanted to try P75 solo to see how I interact with the staff.
OBSERVATIONS:
I travel with my cat in her carrier, and she is always talkative during the trip. She really hates it and wants me to know it. When I got out of the car and approached the door to the clinic, a guy walks by with his Rottweiller. I stopped and stared down the dog as he attempted to sniff the carrier. I then gave the guy a stern look and he immediately pulled his dog away. I moved on into the clinic.
The receptionists were busy checking people out, so I took a seat. I happened to sit next to a woman who also has a cat in a carrier. But my cat was particularly vocal about her displeasure, and I sensed the woman next to me wanting to cajole my cat. I know my cat, and nothing will cajole her. Besides, I have very little tolerance for people who speak baby talk to animals, particularly to my animals. So I immediately whip out my iPhone and check email. This seems to tell people don’t bother me, I’m busy. However, I could tell from my peripheral vision that this woman was really antsy to cajole my cat. I was having none of it.
One of the receptionists finally breaks free and asks me for my information. After a few seconds, she says she doesn’t have me on the schedule. WHAT?! I told her that I called last week to reschedule a previous appointment for this day. She saw that I cancelled last week’s appointment, but didn’t find any other appointment. I told her in a very even voice that after I rescheduled I entered the appointment in my phone. This wasn’t my mistake that another receptionist failed to enter it into the system. I entered it correctly into my scheduling system. She told me to hold on while she checked with the techs in back. When she came back, she said she can squeeze me in. She then escorted me to the exam room.
After a couple minutes of waiting, a vet tech comes in to confirm what we were doing today (a blood test). After that, she asked if it was OK to take may cat into the surgical suite to do the blood draw. I was A-OK with that since that would give me some alone time in the exam room.
After 10 minutes, the vet comes in with my cat. She’s gives me the run down of what’s going on with my cat and proceeds with an physical examination. After that, she tells me very concisely about the various things she thinks might be going on with my cat and what she might expect to see on the lab work. I was satisfied with what she said (I have a medical background), so she says she’ll call me when the results come in.
I go back to the receptionist, and she takes care of the transaction. Right before leaving, she apologizes for the mix up.
ASSESSMENT:
Without a buffer, I had the potential of being a total asshole with this putative. I was in a no-nonsense mindset the entire time. Thankfully the vet tech and vet were extremely competent and confident in their interactions with me. If they displayed a hint of incompetence, I think I would have pounced on them and regretted it. That’s how I felt, though.
I’m also grateful that the receptionist found a way to squeeze me in. I felt extremely assertive in stating that I did my job correctly in entering the appointment on my calendar. I wasn’t in the mood to make my cat go through the stress of another trip to the vet. When I left, I sensed a bit of fear in her eyes.
Anyway, when I got home, I squirted P74 (37.5 mcg) on my neck to smooth out P75. That helped me calm down and be more social. Definitely didn’t want The Man being the target of my assertiveness when he got home from work. Otherwise, I’d be sleeping on the couch for the next 2 weeks.
I don’t think I’d be doing P75 solo again.
I’ve been reading your threads. It seems that the P75 makes you calm and relax. Do you think it may help with my anxiety issues? Um.. Anyway… How long does it take you to get your product after ordering? I ordered on the 17th and haven’t received it yet? Does it usually take a while for the first order? That’s why I haven’t posted anything yet. I’m still waiting for mine. ![]()
Teatinman
I wouldn’t say that P75 made me calm and relaxed. By itself, it made me centered, extremely grounded, yet not willing to take any BS from anyone. I didn’t feel aggressive, but I was willing to stand my ground. For goodness sake, I stared down a rottweiler. Who in their right mind does that?!
Some guys described the experience on P75 as being a popular jock, people looking up to you and such. I got that experience only when I paired it with P74. Without a buffer, P75 made me feel more upfront and forthright, but only when challenged or faced with things that tick me off. I’m already an upfront kind of guy, so having a mone to accentuate those qualities could potentially make me a big time asshole if given the opportunity. I’ll likely test out P75 solo, but I’ll make sure I’m around gay men. I mean, that’s why we’re here, right?
I have an opportunity coming up shortly, so I’ll keep you posted!
If you’re concerned about your order, you can always shoot AD an email. They’re really great about responding, typically within 8-12 hours. If you live outside of the US, there might be some delays unrelated to AD. But, check with AD first about your order status.
Good testing Hankbuddy, I’ve found P75 to repel gay males.
Hey, Eibmoz! Thanks for the heads up. In retrospect, it seems to repel straight women too! At least in solo.
It definitely needs a buffer. When you say it repels gay men, did you use it in combo or solo? Are you also gay or straight? This might make a difference.
P75 needs a lot of friendly, social vibes to make it work. This doesn’t always come naturally to me, so I’ll need some assistance with a buffering mone. If you’re straight, you might be giving “straight” vibe signals that repel gay men. There are certain cues guys that let me know if a guy is gay or straight, or at least interested in me. If I see straight cues and they’re exuding masculinity, I won’t even bother with the guy. But if I see gay cues and the guy is exuding masculinity, I might find a way to talk with him.
In any case, I actually got P75 for business purposes, but I’m willing to try it out in a social setting with gay men. Heck, maybe that’ll give me an excuse to head to the bar this weekend. All in the name of science!
I’m straight but have some gay friends and they keep a distance with P75, tested 2.5 mcg solo.
Self-effects: My behavior becomes very little based on emotions (like emotional reason gets filtered out) but rather on logic, always one step ahead, strong mental focus and concentration. My thoughts become my actions, no doubting or questioning myself, in any situations. I can imagine sends out “straight” vibe signals.
I don’t find its a good party mone solo. Like if there is a great vibe, positive people and energy flowing around. The lack of feeling emotion gives a kind of lone wolf feeling. Still with its strong alpha confidence properties, some women show attraction and interest.
For sure needs something to calm it down. I had bad effects adding Instant Shine or P83, like overwhelms ones senses.
TAC or P96 i find are good buffers for P75, around 10 mcg. A low dose none or TUTH makes it more sexual.
Very good stuff on P75 and I love this journal seeing how the mones effect men and woman, good reports.
With A1 it is suppose to effect only women and gay men, but I get huge self effects from it and I am not gay or have ever had any thoughts about it. So I find the last few posts very interesting. Maybe some of the molecules just interact different with our body chemistry I don’t know.
Very good reports and nice details thank you.
Im interested to see what p75 does when a gay male wear it around other gay males, HankBuddy. I like your theory. I want to see it working.
On a side note… are you saying that gay males can switch “personality” (I don’t know the right term) when searching for a partner? Can they be the femme when attracted to masculine gay and vice versa, or is it a fix “personality”? (Sorry for the loss of right words, but I hope you get what I mean.) ![]()
Thanks for the additional info. If your gay friends know you’re straight, that’s also a different story. It could be a vibe that you send out that they’re not accustomed to seeing in you. But you’re right that P75 makes you like a lone wolf. Some women, and some gay men, could find that attractive. (In my early 20s, I used to be attracted to lone wolves.)
I have P96 on hand, so I’ll try that as a buffer if decide to use P75 when I’m around gay men. The tidbit about P83 and IShine with P75 is also useful. I’ll be careful when using them together.
Thank you! I think A1 also affects straight men in that it makes them more amicable and cooperative with each other. I think it’s impossible for an arbitrary category of men and women to be immune to a pheromone. Sexuality is a continuum. There aren’t specified points in human psychology where someone suddenly transforms from straight to bi to gay. There are also differences between physical attraction and emotional attraction. A1 might be a pheromone that assists with emotional attraction (in its entire spectrum), but not necessarily have anything to do with physical attraction.
Yeah, P75 is interesting. It does accentuate so-called masculine qualities, but doesn’t feel sexual at all.
By the way, have you tried P80 again? That’s another one I’m interested in trying out.
