Yeah, I can’t use P75. Gay men didn’t respond well to it. I couldn’t get any traction on conversations. Using it solo, it enhanced my no-BS attitude, none given and none taken! Not a good putative for my personality.
I like P80. I just wish it lasted longer. I might add some DPG and see how that works. I love the confidence and social aspects of it. It has a very similar feel as IG, but without the stodginess.
Right? I feel ya! I jammed out and danced with my steering wheel on the way to work…SO NOT me! but fun:o
I had no Idea it came in 4X holy smokes I’m not sure I could take it!
This is a newly formed support group for gay men in the trades, primarily for networking. Six guys showed up for the first meeting. We met in the evening at a gay-owned tavern.
PHEROMONES: 2 drops A314 (Royale)
After my experience at the doctor’s office, I wanted to try out A314 solo around gay men.
OBSERVATIONS:
I was a few minutes late to the meeting because of rush hour traffic. When I got there, I introduced myself to the guys. There were five other men, all in their late 30s and older. I felt confident introducing myself and looking each guy in the eye. The guys were sitting at a large table. For some reason, the organizer/host was on one side of the table, while the other guys we sitting on the other side. I chose a chair next to the organizer.
We chatted about each of our professions. I found it easy to talk with the other guys, ask questions about their profession. The other guys were also interested in my work, and it was easy for me to talk about it.
Since the organizer was sitting next to me, I thought it would be a great opportunity to test A314. I turned my body towards him and asked about his motivation and goal for forming a group like this. He tripped over his words and showed a bit of lack of confidence. To ease the moment, I made some joke about the purpose should be hooking up. Everyone laughed, and the organizer got on track with his spiel.
At another point in the meeting some of the guys had their hands folded on the table. I decided to place my hands on the table, but in a power position - hands on the table with palms down. As soon as I did that, all the other guys took their hands off the table. And I wasn’t even talking! The organizer was.
The meeting ended after an hour, and we all came up with good ideas about how to move forward with the group. A couple guys said they were going to hang out at the bar next door. I told them I’d join them there because I was still finishing my drink. The organizer and his boyfriend (he wasn’t part of the meeting) also stayed behind to order dinner.
I had a chance to talk to them, asking questions about their relationship, their coming out and such. The conversation did get personal, but it seemed that everyone was very willing to share their stories.
Afterwards, I went to the bar next door to meet up with the other guys. I got myself a drink and joined them. One of the guys was really quiet in the meeting, but very attractive. As I talked with him a bit more, I did a bit of flirting, which he responded to positively. I tried to be subtle about it out of respect for the other guy there. I didn’t want him to feel that we was a third wheel.
Anyway, I tested the waters. I let me knee touch his. He didn’t pull back. In fact, he left it there for several minutes. After a while, we all parted ways. It was getting late. I already had everyone’s contact info, so I’ll likely follow up with the guy. He seemed pretty shy, so I know I’ll need to take the lead.
ASSESSMENT:
A314 is definitely suitable for gay men. I was able to sustain conversations with guys and talk about personal topics. During the meeting I didn’t talk a whole lot, but I seemed to have had a powerful presence. This was apparent when I placed my hands on the table and everyone took their hands off. Was that a sign of submission?
Overall, I felt totally at ease, confident, and comfortable. The guys were also very willing to connect with me once I took the lead in the conversation and asked questions.
I know a lot of users on the forums like to pair A314 with other products. However, using it solo is very much underrated here. I can see how it needs to be buffered or steered in a more desirable direction, especially to reduce potential intimidation. But, you can also do this by using only one drop. This is something I’ll need to try out. But, the evening’s events showed me it is also fine solo in a social setting as long as I’m willing to take the lead.
I don’t have much as experience much as some others yet with A314. I can tell you though you will learn a lot if you go thru Mobocasters journal about A314. He can steer that thing in just about any direction with good results. If you ever get free time you should check it out.
Thanks guys. Yeah, I read through Mobocaster’s journal, but that was probably back in September. I’ll search his thread for A314 for more specific reports of his experience with it. I like the respect and trust vibe from it. I thought it was really interesting how I could ask personal questions and get an honest answer. It’s not like IH, though, where people tell you what they’re thinking. With A314, you have to ask for it, but you do get an honest answer. Yeah, this is potent stuff!
I chose this mix because my gaming friend hosted it. He’s the gaming guy I wrote about on two previous occasions. I thought I’ll keep the phero signature similar.
ASSESSMENT:
I thought I’d like this mix. I didn’t. I didn’t feel the edge of A314 when I used it solo. All of the guys there were white collar profession. I was the only blue collar guy. There were two guys I already knew, the host and another friend, so I had significant rapport with them. Everyone else I met for the first time.
I had a hard time gaining traction on conversations with other guys. They gave me one line responses. From experience, I know that’s usually a hint that a guy isn’t interested in continuing the conversation.
The evening’s experience was completely different than when I wore A314 solo at a meeting of blue collar gay men (post #104). I’m not sure if my profession played a role, but I have to really consider P96 (50 mcg). Either P96 with A314 isn’t a combo that jives with me or I used too much. I have more P96 arriving, but at 20 mcg/spray. I’ll see how that dosage works.
I also have to consider if using P96 was at all appropriate for this particular setting, game night. I used it only because I used it around my friend (the host) on previous occasions, but it probably wasn’t quite appropriate for game night. I even caught myself seeking approval! This might have been self-effects of P96 in wanting to connect with people. P96 might be more appropriate for one-on-one time for me.
Will you consider retrying with a lower dose of P96 with this mix in a social setting? Maybe the 50 mcg were borderline OD with A314? One-liner responses are not very far from ghosting .
I can’t say that 50 mcg is my sweet spot with P96. It’s what it came in during my overzealous round of purchasing as a newbie. I’m even wondering if 20 mcg would be too much for me, but at least I know I can do a test dilution. (I recently got some PA, DPG, pipettes, and empty spray bottles.)
Since you asked, I will try A314 and P96 at another game night. I should have my new P96 in by then. I’ll try it at 10 mcg.
I thought that would have been a great combo for you. I find when I wear with 20 mcgs of P96 with A314 I get good results the way I want and if I go to 40 mcgs then women get a little to much for me. This is at work. Him if you try I think 10 mcgs should go well. I know the higher the P96 the better for some of us especially in sexual mixes. Socially I had real good luck with 10 to 20 mcgs. I normally start with 40 mcgs in a sexual mixes. I wonder if some this did something with there emotions and they felt something and this scared them.
Truth be known, I first got P96 to use with The Man, but he hated the Himalayan scent, as well as all cologne scents.
I can’t say that the guys were intimidated by possible emotions of attraction. In those situations, guys will still give me eye contact and sneak a glance in my direction. I noticed that happening at the blue collar meeting. Last night, I didn’t see any of that. I really think they were uninterested.
I’ll work on finding my sweet spot with P96 starting at 10 mcg. After that, I’ll pair with A314 again.
I think what your journal is portraying is that there are no homosexual pheromone products. Its heterosexually dominated here and products like a314 and ammo are designed for heterosexual males. Even receiving advice from us heterosexuals on pheromones is going to be misleading for you. But sayin that I highly suggest p130 with instant shine. P130 definately gives guys permission to put there hands on me. Which I am not so fond of. I have to keep it below 10mcg because of this. I have also been hit on by a man wearing this mix.
Also with a314 I have found if I’m buffering a lot, which 50mcg of p96 is, its best with 3-4drops. At two drops 10-20mcg p96 is enough to blend the mix. As there is 15mcg erone in each drop of a314 you drowned that mix in p96… I pulled of about 50 mcg of p96 once, with epic couger hits, but on 4 drops. That’s 60mcg erone.
I am rather hopeful to see Justintime’s results with female mones.
I am wondering if there may be different results in favor of a greater degree of homosexual attractant with a mixture of male and female designated pheromones.
In the early phases of my time back in forum this year I’ve noted that I’ve been hit on somewhat frequently by a woman at work (L1). She is “heterosexual”, though she seems to be open to not being and she was very vocal about it. I have also seen routine conversations and seeming interest with another woman (L2)…as we are at work clearly anything more is inappropriate, and as flattered as I could possibly be, I have not come across a woman that would interest me so much, sorry fellas.
Not questioning the manhood of Hankbuddy or any homosexual male, but Hank is already very “intimidating” as he suggests and has not had a great luck with some of the designated “male” items, I think Justintime’s tests of some of the female line might actually really help here.
I have bought the A314 products to test and give to my BF…and honestly so far he hasn’t been gifted a one yet, but I also haven’t tested A314 1.32A yet or regular 314.
Aside from that fact that I am NOT a biochemist and just sharing opinion, there is the fact that I have had better luck using PHs that I have previously NOT had great luck with in smaller mcg applications or comboed up.
I was pretty scared when I first tried A314 B, so I combined it with something that would soften it, as it turns out I like this better than IS/A for myself…not sure if race is factor, but I am West Indian and mixed heritage, and people seemed to not only trust and respect, but quite flock to me.
I think as with any user it may be a matter of finding the “sweet spot” of ANY mone, not limited to male/female/gay mone. We are all different, just as some things work better with other races, it may be that some things work better with homosexuals of other races…but this is just my early morning idea for thought.
Great post Lil. From reading Hanks journal he seems to have very good luck with A314 the oil solo which I would think with his tough exterior would intimidate other men. I am interested in hearing what type of men Hank is attracting.
My next pheromone order is coming Wednesday and I won’t be wearing my wedding ring and will be going to more bars and other places besides just stores and such to see what these do. What is nice is I am going into this totally blind because there is no reports of men wearing these things, so I am staying true to Androtics vision of blind testing to see what these things do.
With P96 I have had guys get more touchy but not in a sexual way with me.
From what Von is saying with P130 is very interesting and hope Hank gets that one down the road to test.
Hey Von, thanks for bringing up this issue. I’ve been feeling like I’m the token gay guy around here, the elephant in the room that people didn’t know how to approach. I hope that your inquiry will spark a thoughtful discussion about human sexuality.
Your observations regarding my journal are almost accurate. If you look more closely, what I’m really doing is dispelling the myth that the LGBT community needs a special product or special pheromones. There is no such thing as a “gay pheromone” or a “straight pheromone.” There are only human pheromones. (Yes, this is a paraphrase of a famous person.)
Gay men produce the same pheromones as straight men. The difference is how gay men and straight men respond to them. With straight men, they might respond to androstenone with territorial aggression. With gay men, they might respond to it with sexual and emotional attraction, the same way straight women respond to it. It has to do with how the brain perceives the pheromone, which is why there is a strong genetic component to sexual orientation. It is NOT a choice. It is intrinsically genetic, something that is nearly impossible for any human to change or ignore.
(If any guy says that sexual orientation is a choice, I challenge him to make a conscious decision to change his sexual orientation for a year. Fall in love with a man, romance him, and have a fully satisfying sexual relationship with him. After a year, go back to being straight. Let me know how easy that was.)
I love AD and their products. I love how they built a community of pheromone users who are willing to share their knowledge and nurture personal growth in each other. The only thing I don’t like is this concept that gay men need a special product, Mystery Boy. Sexuality (and gender) is a spectrum, not a binary system with distinct roles and adjectives. A product like Mystery Boy suggests that sexuality can easily be compartmentalized. Not true.
I like men, and I’ve had sex only with men. I have no interest whatsoever to have sex with women. Even though I am very appreciative of the female body and psyche and they add a wonderful dimension to my daily life, I don’t respond to female pheromones sexually; they don’t have an impact on my brain chemistry in the same manner as they do for straight men. Male pheromones, on the other hand, turn me on sexually and emotionally. I get incredibly aroused with the scent of androsterone.
Several months ago when I started to explore the world of pheromones, I looked at the sales page for Mystery Boy. It didn’t appeal to me because the sales description was for the kind of guy I wasn’t attracted to. I like masculine men who are like any other guy you might see on the street. The only difference is that he’s sexually attracted to other men as well. That’s really the only difference between gay and straight men - the orientation of sexual and emotional attraction.
This is why male pheromones are appropriate for gay men. These pheromones are what other gay men produce. This is why I love A314 and Ammo. Sometimes when I wear them, I feel a bit of sexual arousal. It’s the kind of pheromone scent I find sexually attractive in a guy.
Now, does this mean that a gay man can use these pheromones to make a straight man gay? No, absolutely not! This is like saying a woman can use female pheromones to make me straight. I’m not sexually attracted to female pheromones and straight men are not sexually attracted to male pheromones.
Now, let’s talk about P130. This would fall in the category of unisex pheromones. I don’t think it’s a so-called gay attractant. I look at it as a pheromone that makes people feel incredibly comfortable around you. So, Von, I think that the combination of P130, your own natural scent, and persona might be triggering the reaction you’re seeing in other guys.
(For the record, I too would be irritated if a guy was pawing at me. Even though I’m gay, this doesn’t give a guy permission to disregard my personal boundaries and put his hands on me, no matter how attractive he thinks I am. You have every right to tell them to stop it.)
I just started testing P130, and so far I haven’t had any invasion of personal space by men and women. I’ll continue testing, but so far I’m not experiencing much from it.
I’m also going to retest P75. In my initial test, I couldn’t gain traction in conversations with guys. I got lots of one-line responses, which made me think they weren’t interested in me. I also didn’t get the classic eye contact and smile of attraction. None.
So I thought that P75 might be copulin-like, which would likely repel gay men. But, in reviewing my journal, I realized that I used 3.75 mcg and paired it with 50 mcg P96. P75 was probably too high and P96 might not have been an appropriate pairing. I will retest P75 solo at 1 mcg. I actually like the positive aspects of P75, so I’m willing to try it again at a lower dosage. I’ll also try it with P74 (10 mcg).
With Conjurator’s and your suggestions, I will also retest A314 with P96.
So, Von, you have the knowledge and experience to help gay men find the appropriate pheromones. Whatever you use to attract the kind of women you want to date, that’s what you should recommend for your gay friends. A314, IG, Ammo, and Summer Ammo are appropriate products for gay men to use, according to their persona. You can also recommend commercial line products and putatives to help steer the base mix in the proper direction. The only other factor is dosing. It could be that gay men don’t need as much as straight men. This kind of makes sense since you got two guys whose own pheromones have a self-effect. So when they’re in a cloud of pheromones of another guy, the effect is amplified. That’s my theory, at least.
Your advice as a heterosexual man would not at all be misleading. Instead, it will be helpful!
Lillian, thank you for contributing to the discussion! I think your co-worker is a closest bi woman. Since journeying into the world of poly, I’ve encountered lots of closeted bi married men. LOTS!
But, more importantly, you comment supports my theory. Your female pheromones attracted bi and gay women in your work place, while you yourself are not at all sexually attracted to women.
My lack of results mostly comes from OD. I workout a lot and take supplements, including DHEA. I purchased Ammo 2x because I thought I needed the extra boost since I’m 48. 1 spray is more than enough for me. I plan to get it in regular strength when I run out. Even with IG, I have to use only 1 spray. With two sprays, I get very serious and want to be left alone to brood in my man cave. I’m thinking of diluting IG and see what the effects are like.
YES! It’s not a matter of using gay mones or a special blend of male and female mones for gay men. It realty is a matter of finding the sweet spot of ANY mone. Again, I think gay men can successfully use the same products straight men use. They just have to find their sweet spot.
Man, you guys are keeping me busy this Sunday morning. But I love the discussion!
Yes, I like A314 solo. I plan to use it on a date this evening, either solo or paired with something. I haven’t decided yet. I’ll let you know how it goes. As for my “type,” it depends whose asking, Justin! If there is a theme to the guys I’ve dated, they tend to be regular guys who you would see walking down the street. Nothing overtly special about them. You might suspect they’re, and you might not.
Despite my so-called masculine appearance, I’m not at all into the hyper masculine beefcakes in leather and sunglasses. In fact, I tend to like slightly nerdy guys who are respectful, warm, laid back, and considerate. (They also like long walks on the beach, Thai food, and cuddling in front of the fire place. )
Justin, I’m in awe! Thank you for taking one for the team. Your experience would definitely contribute to the discussion of gender identity and sexuality. Yes, I hadn’t yet touched the topic of transgender men and women or the spectrum of behavior among gay men, from effeminate mannerisms to hyper masculine bravado. Do female pheromones play a role? If so, how and where in the spectrum are they most useful? I look forward to your reports!
As with P130, I didn’t experience any invasion of personal space from both men and women when I used P96. The only time I experienced blatant hits in this regard is when I used a combo of P74 (37.5 mcg) and P75 (3.75 mcg). (Based on this, I can rule out my Mohawk as an intimidating factor.) I’ll continue testing with P130, P75, P74, and P96.
P96 when I combined with either A314, or Ammo is when people seemed to get touchy with me. Like a synergistic effect of some kind. People just seemed to act on their emotions and how they felt. It might be the Rone I am not sure though to be honest. It was like I was the man and people just anted to touch me in some way like the status would just come off onto them.
Oh yeah I thank Lillian to as seeing her as inspired me to do some of these tests and also this journal. Once I do my solo reports and have a good understanding of each one by themselves I am going to try and make some combos with them that will hit both women and men. I know this can be done, but it will probably take some time to accomplish this.
I chose this mix just to see how A314 would work with a gay man on a first date.
OBSERVATIONS:
Despite the mones, I was feeling slightly nervous about meeting the guy. Not sure why. Might be because I liked how we communicated and I didn’t want to mess up my first impressions with him.
We met at a local tavern. After being seated and ordering beer, we started chatting about each other’s day. When he told me he was a school teacher, I immediately felt at ease because many of my friends are school teachers.
Throughout the evening, I noticed that his pupils were dilated and eyes were moist. He apologized at one point for being chatty and dominating the conversation. Actually, I didn’t mind at all. I like it when guys are nervously chatty. They tend to divulge more information.
After three rounds of beer, he asked if I wanted to go back to his place. I looked at him in the eye, gave a slight nod and smile, quietly said yes, and winked. He blushed.
At his place, things got physical. Very physical! He expressed a level of physical passion that I hadn’t experienced in a very long time. It really caught me off guard, but fortunately I was able to meet his level of passion and fire, which turned him on even more. He definitely appreciated meeting someone who could match him in bed.
Anyway, after we settled down, we laid in bed talking. He confessed that he felt intimidated by me at the tavern. He said he had trouble looking me in the eye because he was incredibly attracted to me. He also remarked that he wasn’t prepared for someone like me to be so confident to look someone in the eye for so long. But he knew I was attracted to him because of my soft gaze. He said he regained his confidence when we got to his place and was able gaze back into my eyes then.
ASSESSMENT:
A314 and IShine work very well together. A314 created an aura of solid self-confidence, while IShine enhanced my attractiveness. I was amazed at how his pupils were dilated throughout our time at the tavern. At one point I tried to figure out the color of his eyes, but I couldn’t.
We really hit off very well, and A314/IShine helped created a great first impression. The next day he sent me a text saying how he woke up in the morning with a smile. Next time I see him, I’ll use A314 and IH.
