Update: I took a bath, washed the sheets and pillowcase, put the ozone machine in the room full blast and the air in there is filled with the stuff, so it should be a little cleaner soon enough (it’ll destroy perfumes pretty easily, so it should zap pheros). I feel like I’m getting better, I should be OK now. The bath really helped get rid of the itchy/hot feeling that was still hanging around.
I couldn’t find Tater’s post, maybe I’ll message him… or he can message me.
Incidentally, I’ve gotten a very similar feeling by trying out a high dose of Androstenone on myself. Total ball of nervousness, very alert. If I had to describe the feeling of laying in that bed, it would nervousness, anxiety, and fear. The room seemed to cause a certain unease. I lost my glases in there and I was just getting really pissed off the more I stayed in there, so I had to leave a couple days ago, think about it… then come back. That’s how bad it was getting.
Yes, there was a sexual component to it I suppose, but mostly it was just plain unpleasant, maybe sexual in a really kinky/paraphilic way- I have to admit the feeling was sexual, but it was very dark and heavy and didn’t exactly “inspire” anything. There was also a major feeling of violence and anger, too, aggression, fear, darkness… It’s like you take all the base stuff in human nature and shoved it on that bed- fear, sex, violence/anger, etc. It wasn’t instantly unpleasant, but it grew on you and enveloped you, and I was so tired that I didn’t bother with anything, I just let it eat me up and eventually sleep came over me- I seemed to sleep fewer hours, too, maybe 2 hours less. I guess I’m pretty dumb, I should have slept on the couch (or the floor) but I didn’t connect the two right away. The military wants to find out the chemical “smell of fear”, well I think I’ve got it, it’s in my bedroom. Dump that on Tora Bora and I guarantee Osama and his buddies will come running out.
BTW, this has given me a new appreciation for bathing. It really does get rid of whatever is ailing you. I bet there are some “bad pheros” out there we are carrying around we don’t even know about. Is it coincidence one of the first things to go in major depression is bathing? Perhaps I wasn’t smelling androstenone, but something else my body was emitting in response?
