As Mark has mentioned and what several of the long-term users here instinctively know or have written about candidly earlier is that pheromones are nothing more than a good perfume, make-up, nice hair-do or new fitting clothes.
The only way you can say that you want to drop using pheromones because they influence others and stay congruent with your intent, is if you also drop good communication skills, decent dressing skills, good hygeine habits etc.
You’re not being paranoid, Luke – okay maybe a little paranoid about whether you’re paranoid – but these are important questions. The devil takes many forms. How do you know when you’re selling your soul? How do you know when you are the pawn of the devil, walking down the road paved with good intentions toward eternal damnation? How do you know for sure that you are being inspired by the Holy Spirit and not Satan indisguise? Big questions.
Are you more concerned about what your mother would think or what other seemingly devout Christians would think than you are about doing the right thing? Much evil has been done in the name of Christianity. There were many who considered themselves devout among those who helped nail Jesus to the cross. Look out for the sin of pride: I’m devouter than you.
I am not suggesting that the end justifies the means. People use that excuse when they have to do something wrong to get what they (playing God) have decided is the more important result. That would be selling (at least a little piece of) your soul. I would suggest that going against your own beliefs and best interests to please your mother would also be selling your soul.
I certainly hold out the possibility that there are Wiccans who work more through Christ consciousness, who are more influenced by the Holy Spirit (whether they realize it or not) than a lot of devout Christian hypocrits. Look at politicians going to church ostentatiously. There are not many saints in any religion.
Christians heal through prayer, witches with magick spells. No side owns the ability to communicate or influence by means that transcend traditonal space-time. I return to the notion of pheromones as communication. Both God and Satan communicate with us and vice versa. I don’t think it is a medium that is inherently pure or tainted. I again suggest that pheromones are communication and how they are used is important. Just as a crucifix in a place of worship is sacred when used for prayer, so may it conjure evil when a witch mastubates with it. Have I been watching too many movies?
Luke, you would not be a Christian yourself if no one had so influened you. Are missionaries all practioners of witchcraft? The issue is not whether it is in your self-interest. Do you not contain the spirit of the Lord? Is your body not a temple unto the Lord? To do Gods work you must care for your self. Taking appropriate interest and caring for your self is essential to being a good Christian. The question is whether you are doing it at someone else’s expense. Pheromenes can be used to promote health and happiness or they can be used to deceive. It is up to your free will.
I do not feel that this is anything similar to the witchcraft and sorcery mentioned in the Bible which dealt with what I would call real witchcraft and sorcery falling into religious practices well outside of the Judeo-Christian realm. As in followers of Baal. Human sacrifice and the sort. Not to say that all those who practiced witchcraft were followers of Baal or that the Biblical admonishon against witchcraft and sorcery only pertains to followers of Baal but you get my drift.
Not to say that some who are into pheromones are not into other religions or no religion at all. Some are.
Then there is the very good point that this in no way takes away free will from anyone which is what I would consider true witchcraft or sorcery to do. Nor does it require you as a user to follow any religious practices you do not care to. As most of us say - these products only amplify you, for better or worse. No matter what pheromone product you use the effects will be 90% you and 10% pheromones. They only grease the doorway. What doorway you choose to enter and with what intentions are completely up to you.
I do not consider this witchcraft and sorcery any more than make-up, perfume, push-up bras, hair-coloring, nice clothes, etc. which all seem to appear in most churches full of born again Christians. Not to mention plastic surgery for completely cosmetic reasons. Does a good born-again Christian woman buy racey undergarments to entice her husband and feel sexy herself? Should she wear them to church? Let her husband know what is on her mind for after church and Sunday brunch? Or that little black dress and some perfume going out to dinner with her husband to set the mood for later that evening? Should they go out dancing? Have alcoholic beverages? Or should she skip perfume, make-up and “fancy” clothes as some denominations do?
And finally - maybe this is a good place for a couple born-again Christians to post. Not to berate people if you disagree with them because that will never pull you close to them but to be a gentle reminder and a source of encouragement to use these products in a positive fashion.
Ok break out your crosses and buckets of water, a wiccan just entered the thread (snort)
Ummm I can pretty much tell you from experience that this is not correct. They do not enhance the craft. They can enhance the person performing the craft but not the craft itself. Witchcraft is far more powerful then mones. It is not evil until used for evil intent. People label it evil simply because they don’t understand it.
This is a decision only you can make but I will say this.
A gun is not evil till a evil man holds it.
Its the same for anything in life including pheromones, Perfume, Christianity or witchcraft. Evil comes from within. You have been given free will to choose Good or Evil. Use your mones for good intentions and there is no worry of evil. Evil only has power if you give it power.
Why would “god” feel its wrong to make people feel happy calm and friendly ? You don’t have to use sexual mones. Just use mones that promote happiness and well being.
You can influence people with hundreds of things… Music, laughter, a touch, Beauty, a smile… Forcing or taking away someones free will is evil and wrong. Influencing doesn’t take away a persons free will it opens them up to the possibilities in the universe.
As I said its a personal decision and only you can make it. But your not evil or doing evil simply by using mones.
Real evil is banal, ordinary. And usually doesn’t come in a scary looking package. No incantations or pentagrams on the ground, tarot cards, no disembodied voices and black cats.
I know a guy that’s evil, fitting that definition as close it comes. He’s 5’9 and has brown hair. He would otherwise be attractive physically if it weren’t for his personality- he can be charming when he wants to be and it serves his ends, but at his core is a bunch of pain and emptiness that radiates outwards as hatred and loathing, only disguised by a veneer of civility. He has a girlfriend, goes to college and is studying to work with sensitive military equipment. He has never been in jail. He is applying for a security clearance, and will probably get it, too, which is sad as he has no conscience at all. Loyalty means nothing to this guy, and people have no intrinsic value other than what they can give to him or get for him.
Yet he is very good at decieving people, except people like me. How does this guy get friends? The same way tyrrants do everywhere. Preying on the weak-willed and insecure, surrounding himself with cronies to make himself look popular and create a bandwagon. It’s been the same throughout history.
A bunch of witches playing around with magic spells are saints in comparison (no offense to witches out there, I hope). Judge people by their fruits, isn’t that what Jesus said? And “a house divided against itself cannot stand” (when, ironicly, somebody accused Jesus of witchcraft). Judge something by its motive and results, not by the means. If something creates good in the world, it is good, if it creates pain and suffering, it is bad.
Honestly I’m not highly religious anymore, but I keep an open mind… and sometimes I miss going to church, honestly. I have an ex-fundamentalist background- as a teen I was definitely a hardcore fundamentalist of sorts, though way more intelligent than most I have met (no offense). I’ve learned to respect people who seek Truth and Good everywhere, and to not be too hasty to judge anybody.
True story… My mother is Catholic and I was brought up Catholic but her mother is was a witch of sorts. We believe in a “God” a higher being but we also believe there is more to it then that. My Father is Episcopalian but he is also part American Indian so he believes in the power of the universe and spirit
Well anywhooo… I was walking with my mom one day around the block at her house and one of the neighbors who go’s to my moms church and is aware that I am wiccan squirted me with the hose and I mean drenched me. She said she was just checking. I guess she watched wizard of Oz to many times or something and thought I would melt (snort) and she wasn’t kidding about it. My mother who isn’t always pleased by my choices was furious and read her the riot act. She sits in the same pew with this women every Sunday and never knew she could be so evil. My mom never complained again about my choice. Ignorance and prejudice are evil and come in all religions. Its not what Jesus taught its what humanity taught.
I respect all religions and beliefs because ultimately there is one higher being for all of us and you can worship him/her anyway way you want no matter what name you call that being. He/she knows you are worshiping him/her.
She hosed you down 'cause you was looking too hot …
I actually prefer my women wet 'n wild - lol.
Actually that was pretty mean - and extremely petty. I’d been tempted to do more than read her the riot act if it had been one of my family or friends.
Snort No need I got her back, well not really, but she is convienced it was me.
She loves roses and grows all sorts in her yard. They are her pride and joy. For 2 years after that they got infested with scarab beetles and it ruined them. Of course she thinks I summoned them with my evil power.
Tisha, it sounds like the woman with the hose was just trying to protect herself. Now, I’m not saying she wasn’t a fool…
But the serious question is: Do you practise Black Magic? And if not, how do you determine what would fall into that category? In Luke’s worldview, what would constitute selling your soul to the devil?
Protect herself from what, I was walking around the block with my mother. I didn’t even glance at her till she blindsided me. I have never uttered a mean word at the women.
No I do not, I may tease Mark and the guys about turning them into salamanders but they know I am teasing. I didn’t summon the beetles Warren it just happened naturally.
Black Magick is the summoning of the powers (energy) of the universe for evil intent or to force your will on another.
Wiccans believe any harm you cause another will be returned to you three fold.
I would like to add it was my mom who got upset and angry.
I thought it was funny myself, I do recall teasing her after saying “it dosnt work unless its blessed” but I was very nice to her despite her spewing her holy evil upon me. I am sure her lord was very proud.
I am also not condemning Luke for his concerns. They are important to him and I commend him for being concerned about his mothers feelings.
I believe it. I understand all these pictures of Mark are actually old ones - right now he lools like he could be doing a Gecko - errr - Geico commercial.
