Aspen by Coty: two sprays will knock you over, fresh and green after the dry down

BOOM! Watch out! Two sprays and it will knock you over! It can be overbearing for the first 10 minutes. That dry down can take a while! Put it on outside during a gentle breeze or after your morning shower with the exhaust fan still running and use the blow dryer! Open up that sunroof on the way to work and crank up the heater!

That said - this formula came out in 1989 by Coty. It is inexpensive –and it kind of resembles Green Irish Tweed.

Nice, fresh, clean, green and the great outdoors is the opening of Lemon, Bergamot and Mint. Like a breath of fresh air but watch out for the cloying upon application like many of the inexpensive offerings at the five and dime / drug store.

I smell the forest in there somewhere but there is no pine. The vetiver, amber and lavender must be doing some magic. This goes especially well in the fall and winter
and remains discreet and subtle after dry down where it is warm and nice. It lasts for about 4 to 5 hours on me.

I’d say that this is a good solid fragrance for men in there 20’s or 30’s when they would like a fresh air change. I have not grown tired of it since I first found it back in ’92 when I turned 40.

Oh, and I have used it over at Watering Hole N in the men’s restroom as an air freshener. Five well placed sprays in the men’s room and it is survivable for the evening. Powerful stuff!

Wondering if you ever used anything by Clive Christian. My fave is a toss up between 1872 and No 1. Very expensive, but no one is going to have it, that’s for sure. One thing I hate about colognes is that if its common everyone is wearing it. I barely ever wear any, but if I do rest assured it will be one of those.

1872 and No 1 ? Thanks for the tip - I have not tried them.

No 1 is $1600 a bottle

Well then! Fat Chance! :open_mouth:
