Best cosmetics you've ever used?

Hi, girls.

I’ve been working on enhancing cosmetics with pheromones for awhile now.

I’m wondering – what are the best cosmetics products you’ve ever used?

I’m an exhaustive researcher, so I’m especially interested hard to find products I may have overlooked. Especially exceptional products that haven’t made it across the pond to the US yet.

I’ve heard good things about a brand called “FACE Stockholm”, for instance. Apparently a Swedish equivalent to “Mac” here in the US.

I’m much more interested in skin care and cosmeceuticals, than coverups (i.e., makeup).

In particular, I’d like to know what you believe to be the finest spray on facial moisturizers, face creams, lip balms, hair conditioners, body lotions, body butters, eye treatments, and massage lotions.

Anything & everything we can usefully add our “feel good” blend of pheromones to.

If you have ingredients, post those, too, so I can better see what makes your favorites “tick”.

Thank you.

I don’t like the “Face” range at all, and would never put it in the same league as Mac in a million years!

Mac is of course, excellent, as are Urban Decay, Hard Candy and Too-Faced for innovative, kitsch and effective cosmetics.

Professional skincare products I will not be without are by Skin Doctors (Australian) or Decleor (French) and the most exciting EFFECTIVE ingredients in skin care fright now, are Argiriline and Pentapeptides.

I know you already know why I am so involved in this industry Michael, but I am not really comfortable talking about that all here in any great depth, so I will PM you a ton of helpful info.

My one BIG secret though, which negates the use for Botox (and do NOT get me started on THAT issue..) is amazing. Suitable for both genders, those who want to see wrinkles vanish and I DO mean vanish, and a much firmer epidermis, due to pure collagen being the active ingredient, get your hands on Nur76 serum in either original or Advance strength. In the words of a certain brand of wood gloss we have over here, this baby “does EXACTLY what it says on the tin!”

I trialled it on 30 testers (my team range in age from 19-74) and except in the two youngest who really had nothing to work on, the results around the eyes, decolletage and especially in the Marionette lines running from nose to mouth on every woman, were outstanding.

The packaging is crap, the advertising is incongruous - it looks like a piece of garbage you would not give a second-thought to, but thank goodness for the persistence of its reps with me, because I would not be without this product now, and the pricepoint too is excellent for what is in fact premium pro skincare - WITHOUT the Godawful price tag.

If anyone invests, let me know your results. I keep my own testimonials updated regularly, but it would be lovely to hear of the results others get.

Maybe pheromones could be added to this type of format Michael, I have no idea, but info on the Nur76 range is freely available online. I think their eye product is rubbish, and does nothing other than give a BIT more moisturisation to the delicate eye area, and I regularly tell Nur that it’s rubbish - but if they sort THAT out, the range is unbeatable.

Michael, will get that PM all done later this weekend, as I am in fact about to leave on a buying trip, since I still have 5 LONNNNG weeks before I start lecturing again.

Ail

a ramble.

ive been waiting a while to watch the responses here, as i am interested myself. however, I wear 'mones so that i dont have to use cosmetics,LOL.
imagine if we can do away with applying to create an illusion…and just smell/ spray to create an illusion.
im more likely to buy a shampoo with a 'mone in it than say a toner or face cream, but thats me. i am much more interested in becomming wrinkle -free from the inside-out, and its my belief that with attitude improvement/mood enhancement, we can heal/rejuvinate/CREATE ourselves. okay, this was useless, LOL!
at the farm we taught classes on creating our own face creams/moisturizers/massage oils and cosmetics with essential oils ,bees wax, lanolin or cocoa butter, vitamins, herbal infusions, and various plant materials. this was empowering to the students, and kept them comming back continuously for the ingredience because playing with it was half the fun!!! and it was therepy. secrets, too ,are fun things women share.
i need to lay off the IO. bye, lol! :stuck_out_tongue:

Guys are gonna always “check” girls out visually.. its hard to do away with what society taught us.

I’ve heard that after a few beers taken internally most any woman looks good to a man…
:stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

That depends on what your own values are and just how desperate you are. I get drunk every other weekend and I still find myself looking at all the hot girls rather than only ugly girls. What is the reason you think? Because I’m aware of the choices. I instinctively know that if I’m in good health, have a groomed appearance, dressed for the occassion and I just relax and talk to the girls I’m interested in.. I will have a better chance of not just “getting off” .. but also getting what I truly want.. rather than just a mediocre experience.

Most people are lazy though and would not rather push themselves =P

you misunderstood.
visually i look better wearing 'mones because the scent has enhanced what you see.
girls want to be checked out visually…only mostly from the guys she wants to check her out, lol. its a rare few who want every and any man to check them out( which is cool but not for me)

true THAT, my friend, true that.
as a bartender for many years i have had the most experience watching what people do/do not do in a bar situation. why? ummm, i was there 5-6 nights a week and could not be drunk for all of them!!!
i have seen the hook ups, and 99% of the time, people do hook up with their equal. it has only 50% to do with hooking up with a physical equal, and 50% to do with hooking up with a personality equal. clever chicks hook up with the funny men, sometimes the challenge for a hot guy isnt the lookers, its the chick that has higher standards and passes him up initially . youd be surprised. its not just the looks, because people choose according to playa/not a playa… and we all want one or the other at different times

I’d agree with the recommendation of Too-Faced and also add the recommendation for NARS cosmetics, especially for us older folks who can’t pull off the edgey Urban Decay look! Chanel cosmetics also tend to be more finely made than other commercial brands.

For skincare, certainly DeCleor (EOs are the way to go in topical skin care, I think) and surprisingly, I’m also rather impressed with DermaDoctor, which has basic but extremely effective products.

Regarding the peptides that were mentioned as an alternative to Botox, be cautious as argeriline (the active in most topical Botox-effect products) has caused some longterm and unfortunate side effects; sagging of the skin! Apparently, many women have found that, over time, the lotions work too well in relaxing wrinkles and creases, and the skin tends to develop a doughy consistency and to get noticeably droopy.

A few users haven’t had their skin return to a normal elasticity and resilience, even after the product usage stopped. So, beware and be careful!

Oooh… great thread, I love talking about beauty products.

I’m Sicilian and Irish with very acne-prone combination skin. I adore N.V. Perricone’s skincare products, specifically his acne range. I gladly pay $55 for a two-ounce tube of his Acne Gel-Cream because it works and each tube lasts me about 8 weeks. It prevents breakouts, kills bacteria on my skin, reduces the amount of oil, and makes my pores appear smaller. It also reduces the buildup in my pores and helps eliminate blackheads. He apparently puts DMAE and other anti-aging ingredients in his products, and they make my skin glow. I can’t recommend Perricone highly enough. I would buy more of his products if they’re weren’t so ridiculously expensive. I imagine that as I get older and my skin needs more “help” that I will buy more of his products. Being Sicilian and having oily skin will hopefully help my skin will remain hydrated and looking younger.

My favorite exfoliator is Philosophy’s Microdelivery Vitamin C peel. It smells heavenly. Unfortunately I got my latest batch at the same time that I got a Clairsonic MD skin brush, and the combination of the two was horrible. I broke out. I’ll have to reduce my Clairsonic use to once a day instead of twice a day, and I can’t use the Clarisonic after I’ve done Microdermabrasion at all. I tried to save money by buying Olay’s version of the home microdermabrasion kit – yuck. It was terrible. They tried to make it similar to the Philosophy kit (vitamin c crystals, orange scent), but it doesn’t work very well at all.

As far as other cosmetics, I like Clinique compact makeup because it doesn’t irritate my skin and it gives great/buildable coverage. I also like Bare Escentuals powder makeup for a very sheer, natural finish. Their “Warmth” and “True” all-over face color is a lifesaver here in Alaska, since my skin is about ten shades lighter than it was when I lived in Colorado due to lack of sunshine. It’s pathetic…my twin sister looks all vibrant and beautiful and I’m pale and sickly!

For my hair, I love Aveda, Ojon, and Oscar Blandi. I use Aveda’s shampoo/conditioner (Sap Moss and Damage Remedy are two of my favorite lines) and hair wax (“Self Control” hair wax is the bomb). Ojon has this deep reconstructuring conditioner that’s to die for as well as Conditioning Shine Serum that smells awesome. And Oscar Blandi has a Jasmine Hair Serum that adds sex-bomb shine and an incredibly sexy jasmine scent.

for quality of pigment and lasting power, I would say MAC cosmetics are top notch. I have been using these almost exclusively for several years. The quality of color is second to none.

For skin care, I have an oily and acne-prone complexion which has turned very well-behaved using the Murad skin care line (Acne Care Complex Kit). This is a simple three-step kit with a cleanser, exfoliating gel, and moisturizer. I use a daily exfoliant by Dermatologica called “Daily Microfoliant” which releases the curative ingredients upon mixture with water. It’s foaming and very gentle. Would water-released pheromones be a potential delivery method? Hmmmm would be interesting application for body temperature-involved situations (nightclubs, massage, sex, etc).

Ail, I’m interested in the product you mentioned. I’m going to look it up or if you can please post the link for the official site, I’d appreciate it.

Loved this post. Had to bring it forward.

SkinCare: SkinMedica and its amazing amazing TNS prods as well as Dermal Repair.

Make Up: for me, the foundation stuff, not so much the eye shadows… Bare Essentuals. I also LOVE Chanel make up.
