cocky comedy?

I have recently been looking into this PUA stuff, nothing heavy I just want a few tips on attracting the opposite sex.

I came across Cocky Comedy by David Deangelo and have found it to make alot of sense but the thing that really struck a chord with me was one of his guest speakers called sean I dont remember his last name, he has some kind of bone disorder and is in a wheelchair but is an extremly powerful public speaker and I would recomend this particular section to anyone with confidence issue’s.

What I would like to know is is there anyone on this forum that has used this material and their thoughts on it.

Here’s the thing about cocky-funny. It’s great, it helps to create sexual tension and if you make sure that the “cocky” part is actually in there and you’re not just trying to entertain like a clown…it’s a dhv by nature since by playfully busting on the girl you’re coming from a position of high status. However, like any aspect of your natural personality, there’s a time and place for it. Cocky comedy is good but focusing on just that as much as David D’s site does is like writing a whole book about the A2 phase of the Mystery Method.

I use that as an example since that’s basically when the cocky funny approach comes across best. When you’re demonstrating high value and building attraction in the girl.
You want to pull back on it a little as you transition to A3 (the phase where you begin to show the girl that she’s winning you over and that you’re beginning to feel attraction for her)…and you want to use it sparingly if even at all by the time you enter the comfort phases.

See Imagine it like this.
You walk up and open set, start with a light opinion opener, transition into a storyand make some brief introductions.
Now you come off cocky funny…your attitude and demeanor show confidence which equates with status, and a fun attitude which makes sure she sticks around. You tease but do it playfully and in a way that even she can laugh about.
You get some good IOI’s, she responds to kino and gives compliance when tested. Basically you’re sure she’s pretty attracted at this point.
But, at the time when you should tone it down, you keep with the cocky shtick. And everything is a joke, this can become annoying at best. If overdone the impression is that the cocky attitude is an overcompensation, or you’re teasing starts to feel like it’s not well meaning or playful because it never seems to stop.

With cocky funny, imagine it like the volume knob on a stereo, come in loud at first and get attention and hold court, but then gradually turn the volume down until that aspect is no longer a factor.

By the time you get to comfort, the cocky funny thing should be done. This is serious “getting to know you” time. While you still be projecting the image of a confident man, it’s actually favorable after the almost over the top cocky display to offer ONE bit of info about you that showcases a flaw, insecurity or something of that nature. This is the time to humanize yourself.
It’s like A2 is ripping open your shirt so she can see the bright red “S” on your chest and convincing her that you’re Superman. A3 is when you let Lois Lane feel like she’s actually winning over this amazing God among men.
Comfort is when you open up and tell her a little about your kryptonite. Not your whole life story mind you, just enough so you seem more real to her and you’re not just a great guy but a great guy she feels a connection to. Throwing cocky funny in here is like shutting all that down and she’ll be convinced that she could never like you as much as you like yourself.

Thanks for the advice, Im understanding that it is “just another tool in the tool box” but Iv been testing it out a bit and it seems to work really well. Do you know of any other decent PUA material that you think I may find useful, theres so much out there its hard to weed through all the crap when you dont know what your looking for.

There IS a lot of stuff out there and the main thing to remember is that no matter what any of them say no ONE method is totally fool proof. For the most part my style fits pretty nicely within the Mystery Method, over time I’ve learned how to incorporate other guys stuff selectively within it (like above taking David D’s cocky funny and putting it in A2).
One of the best ways a guy can learn the basics and see some results right quick without drowning in a lot of theory’s that sometimes seems to conflict with each other is to get the book “Rules of the Game” by Niel Strauss. it has a 30 day challenge where you take the concepts and techniques and apply them one at a time in daily increments. It also included a lot of good stuff for building confidence and releasing negative self beliefs (ie inner game).

I had a buddy of mine follow it while using a couple of sprays of Ammo a day. He got some pretty damn impressive results and he’s a pretty big guy that had a lot of issues and insecurities about his weight.

I would suggest for learning hard tactics and the theories behind them, start with that, then read/watch anything by Mystery or Savoy/Love Systems. All based on the same core principles.
Once you feel like you have all of that down and would like to work on some self development that goes a little deeper I suggest David Deangelo’s “Deep Inner Game”, “On Being Man That Naturally Attracts Women” and “Mastery”, followed by pretty much anything by Carlos Xuma.
It’s expensive stuff so try browsing for torrent sites if you can.

Cocky comedy should be as natural as possible if you’re going to use it at all. Too forced or frequent and you’ll come off like a tool.

I tend to agree with Sinn’s assertion that you shouldn’t have to use c/f/c/c more than once or twice during the course of an initial conversation with an intelligent, sophisticated woman who has shit to do and a reasonable amount of self-esteem. The more she invests, the more you can bring it without coming across as a tryhard.

Btw, a great example of c/f or c/c in action is Bill Murray.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, will look into those. Iv been using cc quite spairingly and it seems for me to be more effective on younger women say 18-25.

This is from my personal experience:

The girls I thought that was so-so or I KNEW I could get probably anytime, I acted non-chalant toward them and acted like I was in control. Sometimes, if one of them did something “weird” or unexpected, I would jokingly comment on it, point it out, or slightly poke fun of it. It was easy and naturally done, because I didn’t even care what they thought of me. Plus, I felt like I can get better girls.. I felt very CONFIDENT and felt wonderful about having the power to choose the girl or not… The girls WOULD sense that too. Of course, they could only see me as a high value. However, I wouldn’t speak down on them or point out their insecurites or things like that - that is messed up, you know

I think that is what David D is actually trying to point out:
Usually, most guys that are in charge and don’t care whether or not they get girls they interact with get the girls. Why? Because they know they are GOOD and they can get better ones, if they can’t get the ones they currently interact with. Therefore, they naturally speak out whatever they want; of course, they are smart enough to do that tactfully; for example, not acting childish and using a vulgar language

That display of confidence and value, my friends, can be felt by others.

Damn right it works! I start off with cocky/funny, build rapport, use lots of eye contact and alpha body language, and with the combo of the mones, usually by that time I’m getting told how ‘wet she is’. WIN!

Agreed, bro, Xuma is the MAN. His stuff is more natural and flowy, and to me, perfect to transition from the cocky/funny to the rapport stuff.

Or Indiana Jones
