Well I have to answer one more PM before I hit it. I really wish newbies would read the stickies. The questions they ask can be answered by doing a little homework. No matter how often I direct them there, even providing the links, they just don’t do it. So many don’t want to read or test properly so they never get a handle on how these molecules really work and want me to fiqure out what their “problem” is and to give them a formula. I spend time answering the most basic questions over and over in PM’s. I don’t mean to be unkind but these are elementary questions that are clearly answered in the damn stickies! They could also be asked straight out in the forum, but no…sigh. I mean I’m glad to help, but…sorry, I’m ranting.
I don’t usually go for the chatbox thing, but I saw you there tonight Hank and it was kinda fun. Maybe I’ll be tempted to chat again sometime…and maybe I’ll join Bond’s club…if I can squeeze my a** into that gold bikini…lol

For the majority, it’s the same old thing. Wanting answers/solutions without trying to figure it out themselves. Finding someone else to cook for them, finding out the solution to homework, finding a way outta trouble.. it’s all rooted in the same motivation, the motivation to get as much end reward as possible with as little effort as possible.
I’m pretty sure the thought process goes something like this. Oh, look stickies..oh xx pages? That’s kinda long. I’ll just ask a quick questions instead. Then wait a couple hours, minutes if you’re lucky.
Or they could just open it up, realize most of the post is in the first post, followed up with details in the later posts. And learn more in the time spent waiting for a reply than just the answer to whatever question you had in mind.
This may come off as callous, and perhaps this is a way for me to practice asserting myself in such a manner for real life, but I’ve stopped bothering. There will usually be another guy that wants to answer the basic questions anyways and unless there is a grave misconception, I usually stay out of it.
It does make me wonder why we even have those stickies though…I know some forums limit the user to a Newbie forum where they cannot post, but have to read the rules and FAQs before participating. I don’t think something so strict would be required here, but maybe put a link at the end of the FAQ that gives them access to the rest of the forum?
Whatever.
Just sticking my head in to make sure everything is cleaned up and ready for the next ball … when ever that is …

You might have something there. I have lately (since the upgrade) thought that the stickies should be in a pull down menu sort of thing.
Buuuut…
If it was the other way around, when they/we?? open the thread listing only the stickies come up and they need to click on a thing at the bottom of the page to open the other thread listings. Just make it easier than anything else to read the stickies.

Dunno…haven’t felt much like dancing lately…hard to do when you get the rug’s pulled out from under you. If/when I get back on my feet, we’ll see..aaaand I’ll make sure to keep my opinion to myself. Really makes me question just how appreciated my contributions here are in general. It doesn’t really matter in the scheme of things anyway…and that’s the truth. Ooops, just said I was gonna keep my opinion to myself! LOL. Maybe you’ll never see it. The way things are going here it could just disappear …along with a lot of other things. 
I think, in my spare time, I need to go back to school and get another Master’s degree. It’s true I only graduated Magna Cum Laude. See, I just don’t seem to be able to understand/grasp even the most elementary concepts about free speech…life, liberty and justice for…O..O..O…Bella…!!! They really need to install a little imoticon…with tape over it’s mouth…or maybe one with a shovel.
Most of you, who just pop in here to read, won’t know what I’m talking about, just as well…and the ones who do…you’re best to keep quiet, really. So, no questions/comments from anyone on the above please, you don’t want to be on the same list I am…I’ve been on the IT list…now I’m on the one that starts with S. Actually I woulda been on the S list a lot sooner…they other one…Summa Cum Laude if I didn’t want to have a little fun along the way, butcha cain’t study all the time! Maybe if I had, I’d be able to grasp these concepts and their application better.
I’ll be around/poking in…mostly here, as it’s MY journal, right? At least for the time being. Well, not really but I like to pretend. If anybody wants to get/stay in touch just shoot me a PM. Can’t say I’ll get it as they’ve been going into moderation, expect it. Ah, the intrigue.

Yes, it’s true that amino acids are best taken on an empty stomach. Not only that, they compete with one another for absorption. So if you’re taking a few it’s best not to take them at the same time and to take them with water rather than milk which, of course, contains amino acids.
As to the undertow. Most people eat Thanksgiving dinner on an empty stomach, no? The article is correct, even though the tryptophan in the turkey is being mixed with other nutrients and only being partially absobed, the rest of dinner is loaded with carbs (they can send you nappy on their own…no turkey/tryptophan needed) and they gobble up just about as much as their tummies can hold. So it stands to reason, and no wonder, they’re feeling zzzzzzzzzzzzzz after dinner… * yawn *
