Floors, blacklights, decor and the ultimate trip/romantic setting bedroom

Alright..I’ve been on a home decor binge for a little bit now. I figure, a bedroom tells a woman alot about a man eh? Not only that, since I sleep, fuck, use my computer and hang out in here, its kinda cool to keep it nice huh?

Thats my temple, my chill spot, the place I bring girls back, where I lay my head at, where I’m typing in. My bedroom is more like my living room, especially since I live with my pops and my house is more or less shit in all respects except in here where it looks more like an art deco spaceship fantasy world.

I got color changing eaglelight mood lights, a blacklight, psychedelic blacklight posters, laser projectors, full length mirrors on the walls (which I robbed from the trash, but who gives a shit, it looks phat and balling on a budget is my mantra)…Wanna get some new furniture and shit make it look pimp in here. Or pimper. And figure, one day I’ll move out and take most of my shit with me, right, so it can’t hurt to pimp my place out, make it look good. If your house looks good, figure you’ll look better too, at least a little huh? Every little bit helps, I think.

Anyway..Went to a bowling alley, and they had blacklights that lit up the paneling in the lanes. It was a pretty sick effect. I’m aware lots of hardwoods will glow in differing ways to different effect under blacklight..I’m looking to put down some flooring and get rid of this raggedy stained and worn out blue carpet I have had for 7-8 years now. It holds onto cat hair, smells (specifically pot) and dirt, all around its a pain in my ass, we don’t even have a vacuum cleaner here, I have to sweep the damn thing, a wood floor would be much easier to keep clean I think. Would help the ambiance too. Its just ‘cleaner’ I think. Well..

Point is, anyone have any ideas of a good wood to use for this purpose? I could probably just finish it with something that’ll help it glow, but I’d like the wood itself to have a glow to it, why polish a turd, ya know? Spend my money right the first time..I have no idea about what woods I could use..Its confusing, and all I’ve found on the internet is how to find cat piss on the floor with a blacklight and that woods with high b vitamin content will glow, what those are but black sumac and myrtle, which I doubt I could afford a floor in, idk. Its pissing me off. I’d rather not ask the manager at the bowling place, I spose I could do that though lol

Well anyway, I have links for you folks too, maybe we can all brainstorm here. I ain’t much of a decorator..Been surfing IKEA and the internet for shit to pimp my room out with too. Any ideas are appreciated, and suggestions on wood floors to use would be a premium to me, its probably expensive as shit to put down a new floor..I really don’t wanna fuck it up, lot of money to put down just to not be satisfied with it, and I can’t take the floor with me when I move out :frowning:

Mathmos Lights - USA and Canada Shop only
gonna get this space projector thing eventually..It looks pretty cool, its not insane or nothing, but for the money its trippy enough to satisfy my purposes

Moonlight III Wall Fountain

lol I wants to get this, fill it with glow in the dark/under blacklight dye and have a wall fountain with glowing water. How cool would that be?

Onkyo HT-S7300 - 7.1-Channel Home Theater Package with iPod® Dock | Model Information | Onkyo USA Home Theater Products

And no living space could be complete without a decent sound system! I enjoy listening to music while watching tv where they talk about music while music is being played in the backround..

Fiber Optic Ceiling

Fiber optic lighting for the ceiling, make stars and shit..I can’t really use it in my room due to physical contraints, I’d have to lay down a drop in tile ceiling, thats just not gonna happen, but maybe you guys would like to use this idea? I have a laser star projector already, its pretty dope as it is..Maybe one day for me years from now when I have a home :stuck_out_tongue:

Wildfire, Inc. - Wallpaper, Starlight, Invisible

Might spend some money on this..idk for sure, wanna buy their glow in the dark dye for a wall fountain someday and their particular brand of blacklight, I got stars enough though, maybe those flourescent stick on ones would be cheaper anyway.

IKEA | Extra covers | EKTORP | EKTORP | Corner sofa 2+2 slipcover
I might put down for this corner sofa, its cheap as shit basically, and might fit in my room perfect. As of right now instead I have a futon I use as a sofa when I have guests.

IKEA | TV & media solutions | TV solutions for flatscreen TVs up to 37" | BESTÅ | TV storage combo with sliding doors
this I guess would be my entertainment center/computer workstation sorta, not sure about this though, the tv would be awfully low down, I think I’d like it higher up..eventually I’m gonna go wireless with the mouse and keyboard, so it doesn’t matter so much where the computer is, so long as it works!

other thoughts:

-need a cheap indoor not-wall-unit air conditioner, preferably high powered, any suggestions? Not willing to spend more than 400$ on it though

-Need a decent flatscreen tv..or an LCD computer monitor that can function similarly..thinking about settling for this Newegg.com - Asus VG236H 23" 2ms 1920x1080 Full HD 120Hz 3D multimedia Height & Swivel Adjustbale WideScreen LCD Monitor w/nVidia 3D Vision Kit hard bundle 400 cd/m2 100,000:1 (ASCR)

its gotta be dual function..for my computer and for cable. I’d be willing to spend a G on it..Any ideas here are appreciated, I haven’t a friggen clue about shopping for TVs at all, but I do need to ball on a budget a little, either way, my priority is to spend my money right the first time rather than settle cheap and work my way up to something more expensive. Rather to spend alot of money once and be satisfied then have to take care of this later in life. Do something right the first time and you won’t have to do it again, right?

-any ideas on track lighting? Curtains too..Chicks like curtains, I think :stuck_out_tongue:
IKEA | Textiles | Curtain rods & rails | Track systems
the kvartal thing looks like something I could set up in here..

-a spacy/modern looking ceiling fan is something I’m interested in too..

-blacklight/psychedelic poster ideas I’d love. I just splurged once I got the blacklight, didn’t put much though into it, bought some crappy posters on amazon, they’re nice, but I’m looking for something really…High quality. Something stunning and eye popping!! help me out people!!

-painting. thinking about a kinda midnight purple/red trim idea here…I’m a scorpio. colors that will go with wood..idk. i’m not a decorator, I have no idea here, just guess work. thinking about a metallic finish, they have new paints now cheap like that..Something dynamic, make the room bright, reflect the lights I got in here well..I might even sponge on some phosphorescent paint afterwards for dimension, idk. Ideas are welcome!! Right now its very very very blue in here..I don’t hate on that though. Blues fine too..

-plants! wanna put some plants in here, plants that smell nice and I wanna get some kind of vine, actually thinking about banisteriopsis caapi (the vine of the dead/spirits, half of ayahuasca lol), have it grow up my wall add life to this place..though I have no idea how to accomplish this at all. Want some life in here in addition to all the artifice and synthetic techno shit I have..I’m about balance to ya know

Anyway. Hit me up with ideas people. And if you want, I can give suggestions on making your room/home a psychedelic trip pad that girls swoon over. they really do btw, maybe its a little childish/immature in here, what with the glowing ceiling, strobing color changing club effect lighting and laser projector, but who gives a shit, girls love it, if there’s a universal truth, girls love being entertained, and my room is enter-friggen-taining in and of itself so that girls have something to look at when I’m not pleasuring them..Not only that, tripping in my room is the most amazing experience. Its like another world in here..I guess thats what I was going for. My house is shit..You walk into my room though and its like actually nice. Its my personal space in here..Eh. I’ve only spent like 300 so far and already its pretty dope in here, alot doper than it was before…Its not as expensive as you’d think to make a room psychedelic.

Hit me up people!! I’d LOVE feedback..I’ve never really decorated anything or bought furniture/tvs/whatever before, so I’m new at this..therefore advice would be very helpful in my circumstance. Maybe I’ll put some pics up if I can so you guys can have an idea of what i’m looking at if there’s feedback..Ideas on entertaining women, shit they’d like, idk, things that’ll leave an impression..whatever..Help me out  thanks people

IMHO… too much stuff is distracting… the most seductive environments I’ve ever been in had brilliant touches but were generally tasteful and simple… excess blacklight gets old, fast…

things you should have: top quality mattress, extra firm (didja know that spring matresses were first invented as novelty items in English whorehouses ?)… no fluffy down toppers or comforters…they are too hot and get odorific rather quickly…

  1. A truly fine 2 speaker stereo system, forget the overcomplex surround sound with an octopus of cables snarled everywhere… 6moons.com is an interesting place to follow discussions of the high end phenomenon… once you’ve heard what real high end can sound like, everything else will sound like hammered shit until the end of time.

  2. a real professional grade massager… trust me, I’ve tried EVERYTHING on the market for the past 20 years, and tested them on a wide variety of women… the Consumer’s Report Numero Uno winner by a wide margin is Thumper Mini-Pro 2, for another 30 bux you can buy the carrying case too…once that has graced their buttocks, they’ll line up around the block for more… honest… learn how to use it, you’ll be a sex celebrity overnight… (while your at it, get a few illustrated books on sensuous massage an absorb their lessons)

  3. a mini fridge with a variety of beverages… snapple iced teas work for me… see if you can find a good quality box with a presentable exterior cabinet… back in the day we’d go for two hours of nonstop pounding until I was blinded by the salt from my sweat… ah youth… a quick gatorade might have helped…

  4. some sound absorbant paneling… they sell lots of great 2’x4’ x 2 inch deep sound panels, some are beautifully made… these serve many functions, the noises in the bedroom stay in the bedroom, the room will have a far more intimate, sanctuary from the world quality, everything will come off as far more upscale..,.these are my absolute favorites, 2 of them will turn your bedroom into a VERY private space…

Chameleon C2™ High Frequency/Noise Absorption Panels - $139.99 : Ready Acoustics!, Hear - Sound - Better

btw.. see if you can fit these speakers in your room… among the best in the world…an a bargain at $300,000.

Hmm sound absorbent paneling..Fridge. Massager. As for the mattress..I got that one handled, thankfully. But I’m thinking about getting a memory foam one, any thoughts on that? lol something tells me sex on memory foam might absorb alot of energy..There’s something to the bounce on a mattress makes sex a little easier sometimes.

Definitely good ideas..The paneling probably isn’t a bad idea anyway, I listen to music in here all hours of the night and shit, being an insomniac with a non-24 hour circadian rhythm leads me into strange territory with that, blasting music at 5:30 in the morning. Also, I’m planning on getting a new computer, plugging my guitar into that..Certainly wouldn’t hurt for recording purposes and what not, or just for privacy. Are just two panels really that effective?? like, what kind of effect are we talking here, placement, how do you install something like that? I dunno where I’d put it..I’d have to put some thought in there..Honestly, acoustic panels aren’t something I even thought to consider..Not a bad idea at all, just not sure how to implement that..Minifridge! Massager! Definitely on the top of my list somewhere. Thanks for the feeback tacitus.

memory foam is great for lying on your back and tripping… prob.the best thing there is… horrible for sex, eats up all the motion, the foam gets more play than the girl, you want SPRIIING action, every move rebounds in your favor…

as for acoustic panels, a lot depends on the shape of your room… super easy to hang though, the steel frame lets it hang just like a large picture, you can put them together right over your bed, all the serious studios use this to “shape” the room sound, cleans up the room-ringing… sometimes putting them in the corners will clean up a bad case of corner-honk… that’s where a lot of badness comes from, corners act like f.u. speakers reflecting the sound back… I’ve put them in bathrooms where noise is an issue and they’ve become dead quiet… no more tinkle sounds…

PS use real fiberglass core panels… those acoustic foam wedge things you’re supposed to glue on to the walls are the worst shit ever
