Free Pheromones for 10 lucky guys!

dude with the placebo part I assure you, it is not!!! I went to a party tonight, and I was making out and talking with shyt load of different girls all night. It was freaking scary, now that i think back I am like how did i do it>?>> i was wearing my triblex mix which you can read the combinition in my other posts , together with some other products, I will write the full report about tonight tomorrow, right now, i OD’d it meaning I put too much, so now my friendz are kinnda keeping distance from me.

well many congrats to you on that bro. Sounds like the effects you’ve been looking for…to a degree.

am standing in a skeptical point, but with an open mind, i’ve tried some of the products myself and saw a big difference. am waiting for my next order to come, so i can try them out more. this time it’s tuth, ij, cttm. i’ll make sure i’ll post the results on my journal. as for nobrain’s experiment, am into it, am pretty keen that i can prove that there’s a change in phero’s, am pretty convinced already, but still experimenting myself. am not an expert on this stuff, but sure am keen to learn more with my skeptical side of me with an open mind, but the only thing is am in australia, i dont know if i qualify to participate this experiment, but if u guys think i am, am up for it. as for the placebo effect, i dont think it’s the placebo effect that nobrain’s trying to prove here. the way i see it it’s pretty clear that he’s trying to prove whether “pheros work or not” by giving a stranger 2 bottles, one containing phero’s and the other containing nothing at all. BUT the same scent, am i right or wrong? correct me if am wrong. i agree with jasmin, it’s a pretty fair and square experiment suggestion that uplift’s nobrain idea (the way i see it) so yeah, this is my 2 cents dropping on this forum. lol. take it if u like it, or flush it down the toilet if u dont.

I have an open mind on the subject too. I am not looking to disprove pheromones; I hope they work – what a wonderful gift to the world if they do! If they don’t I will be disappointed, I get saddened when I see people getting taken advantage of…

People sometimes mistake my tone because I am quick to point out that sometimes what we consider “proof” is, in fact, not necessarily the case. If a guy wearing pheromones goes to a bar and a woman talks to him at length, this might be pheromones at work. But it is far from proof.

My experiment attempts to remove placebo from the equation. Since the participant is well aware that not both of the bottles contain mones. Ideally there would be 4 bottles with 1 having mones but that would become pricey and much harder to journal.

BTW, I have been running several other experiments – this one just happens to require seasoned pheromone users.

Have you read my topic on conducting experiments? I consider the method I plan to use much better since it removes the personality and perception of the user from the equation.

I am sure throughout the history of time, more times than not someone who went to a party and made out with a bunch of girls was NOT wearing pheromones. So, this again really does not prove the pheromones are working – it does not prove they are not working of course either. That is the point.

Whereas the effects of pheromones are in debate, the effects of alcohol are not – was alcohol at this party?

Why would your friends stay away from you if you OD; you mean because you reek of cologne (fragrance) and it is irritating their sense of smell?

In defense of this I DO in fact question your motives. Awesome Nerd has been very up front about shyness and his dynamic with women. He saw results and was happy with them. So playing devils advocate let’s assume for the sake of argument that the mones themselves are not responsible.
But his belief in them gives him a sense of confidence that he hadn’t felt before, which would communicate of course in his approach. Viola, success and expected results. So who’s hurt? he spent money on a product and is happy with the result. Now from personal experience so far I’m leaning toward them working as advertised and I don’t believe it’s a placebo effect. But if it is, so what? This isn’t a claim to cure a deadly disease that could result in grave harm to a persons health if the product doesn’t work. It’s a fragrance, that is said to communicate certain qualities we might want to impress upon others.

As far as I can see Androtics has been very up front in stating that these products are not miracle workers, only an edge.
They offer a DOUBLE your money back guarantee, and what’s more you have a YEAR from purchase to use it.
Beyond that the forum here allows for dissenting opinion on the products effectiveness otherwise we’d not be having this conversation.
So as far as I can tell, the only way that AD could be guilty of anything even remotely duplicitous would be if the products didn’t actually contain the ingredients advertised. So long as the pheromones are actually present in the quantities and ratios claimed then no wrong is being done.

Then what is the point of even running an experiment? I have addressed the “what harm” topic before. You are basically saying “who cares” if it is placebo or not – that is an ok philosophy, but then why test it?

I’m running the experiment for my own curiosity as well as to possibly silence or confirm skeptics. My “what harm” statement is in response to the attitude I get from your posts. Apologies if I misread you, but you seem beyond skeptical, more passive aggressive toward actual users that are happy with their purchases. Let me explain more succinctly.

My experiment plan is legitimate curiosity and I haven’t attempted to dismiss anyone else s personal experiences or beliefs.

Your experiment plan comes off as very challenging and your posts have been somewhat condescending toward those that believe in the product.

My experiment plan is simple, not subjective. Also, I have and am running MANY experiments. I am not dismissing anyone, I am asking them to consider the alternative – this is no different than you are asking me to do. You are asking me to consider the possibility that they work, I am asking them to consider the possibility that they may work or may not.

I have not dismissed anyone’s beliefs, sorry for those who feel that way. I have asked that they question them. If you read through the posts with HONESTY you will see I never claim as a FACT that pheromones do not work. However, you will see many who are claiming as a FACT that they do. Yet, you focus on me. I do not dismiss their beliefs in pheromones (in my opinion) but some do CLEARLY dismiss my skepticism. But you focus on ME which does in fact have me questioning your sincerity.

Let me ask you this, can you show me an example of a thread where you defend the skeptic and not the believer? And by the way, there can be great harm in someone building their confidence on smoke-and-mirrors.

Dude, I’ve been here like a month and besides yourself there haven’t been very many skeptics besides myself. At one point I questioned how a product A314 can make the wearer feel more confident, yet other people smelling it feel awe and respect, it’s the same product both people are smelling yet two different results.

I’m not asking you to accept pheromones as real, to be honest what you believe is irrelevant to me. Of course the people on the board are going to say pheromones work, it’s a pheromone oriented board. That’s like accusing everyone in a church of being religious, what did you expect?
I acknowledge that there could possibly be a placebo effect but I don’t feel the need to try and convince anyone here that believes in the products of that, anymore than I would feel the need to convince anyone that their religious beliefs might be wrong.
I’m not so possessed by an insecure “need to be right”.
Only truly disconnected person could be oblivious to the defensive reactions some of your posts have garnered. Yet you persist and this is why I make the point about the placebo effect. If somebody spends 40 dollars on pheromones to attract women, and the use of the product gives them a confidence boost that results in a successful interaction then who cares? They spent money hoping to get more attention and they got it.

Let me ask you this, since you seem scientifically minded I’m sure that we can agree that a 100% success rate is unlikely and impractical to expect from any product. Radiation and Chemo don’t have a 100% success rate with cancer patients but I’m sure that you support their use in some cases correct?

That being said, what kind of success rate in a solid placebo controlled experiment would be sufficient for you to accept as solid evidence (not conclusive proof) that pheromones work?

I ask because some people tend to want to believe something so intently that they’ll dismiss evidence to the contrary. Suppose 7 of 10 guys you do this experiment with report that they experienced more success with bottle A than with B and bottle A is the pheromone bottle? would a 70% success rate convince you or would it simply motivate you to conduct another experiment under different conditions?

Are you implying I am “possessed by an insecure need to be right”, it seems obvious that you are… Interesting you should begin with the personal attacks. And, this seems rather assumptive, no? I would indeed not trust an experiment from someone who can, based on some forum posts, come to a conclusion that I am “possessed by an insecure need to be right”. But, ok.

Also, I can only control what I write, I cannot control how people react to me – only pheromones can do that!! lol (it is a JOKE, don’t get bent out of shape)

Persistence in questioning another persons beliefs in spite of an obviously defensive response would imply as much.

I would find 70% pretty compelling. Let me ask you the same… If 70% choose bottle B would you think it was compelling that the pheromones didn’t work or might you then hypothesize that the large difference in percentage must prove the pheromones work – because clearly the user is noticing a difference and thus selecting bottle B. After all, if the pheromones did nothing it would be closer to 50/50 right?

People get defensive when their beliefs are challenged; you and I are no different as is clear from our conversation, no? And, the fact of the matter is – people get MORE defensive the better (more logical) the challenge. If I came on this forum and said “Pheromones are fake, I know because Santa Clause told me” you would find people not being so defensive.

Hmm interesting point. I would likely base my assumption this way
If we assume that bottle A contains mones and bottle B does not.
Only a majority percentage claiming that bottle A seemed to work better could support pheromones.
A reverse majority would imply a placebo effect and a 50/50 split would support random chance being the only factor.
Likewise with a “no noticeable difference” vote.

We are in agreement on people being defensive when their beliefs are challenged, but that wasn’t the point I was making, the point was about your own persistence in spite of that, and the “need to be right”. An issue that’s being avoided.

It is not being avoided. You are a person who ASSUMES I have a need to be right. Cool. I have acknowledged that. You do not know me at all and have no proof that I need to be right, you are making an assumption.

OPINION: I am someone who needs to be right.
FACT: You are someone who has made an assumption about me.

Have I addressed it to your satisfaction?

Ok, fair enough. I think you will like my “experiment” when it gets concluded. It will not only cover the A or B, it will cover the gap. This can help further analyze what has happened.
