hahaHAH: two strikeouts in one day asking girls to homecoming

I think this is really hilarious. I sum up what attitude I have tonight to ask the 6th girl to homecoming, but I find out on her myspace that she is going with somebody. So I talked to another girl, and just found she also has a bf. That’s like two strikeouts in one day. Yeah, sure, I talk to them both a lot, but it frustrates me that I can’t get any luck.

I think I actually want to ask more girls and start screwing things so I can see how worse my life can get.

Awww damn, that sucks! I’ve been there. I used to have the same problem. Believe it or not, it really does get better.

Nah, I’m sorry my friend, I fear the worse is yet to come. There is plently of more girls screwing me over to go through. Do not forget all the other circumstances that will frustrate me to the limit.

I wish when I was a gawky teenager that someone had just put their arm around me and told me it was going to turn out alright. That I wouldn’t be confused and scared and unappealing forever. That I would eventually have gobs of confidence and boldness. That there was someone out there who would love me with every ounce of his being, and that he was worth waiting for. That I was going to turn out alright after all.

Because it was true. I just had to live through some junk to get there.

The same is true for you. Hang on. Don’t give up hope. You’ll be through with high school before too much longer, and then the world will be painted with different colors. You’ll have new horizons. People will have grown up some and won’t be so horrible anymore.

And you’re going to be impressed with what you have become.
So will everyone else.

How were these girls screwing you over LTD?

You need to reframe your beliefs - You are holding (and feeding) this belief that life is out to get you - Life is easy, don’t make it complicated.

Yes you talk to these girls and it turns out they have dates/boyfriends - you just eliminated two girls from contention to be your prom date (because YOU ARE THE CATCH). Nobody got themselves a prom date to spite you - they got/accepted a prom date because they wanted a date (it isn’t about you, it is about them)

90% of humanity operates in a victim mentality.

Ack, c’mon man. That’s it, I’m not going to help anymore as in previous posts, reason why is because how can we help you when you won’t even help yourself? So I’m sorry, but I give up on LTD threads. I’ve helped you out, and know that you can do it but you’re letting things get to you too easy (things that probably aren’t even based on your fault.)

If it’s hilarious - you shouldn’t be feeling this way

Move on. You liked more than one girl - meaning that you’re not too attached. Focus on someone else - or just have fun.

It’s usually when you’re not looking for anyone that you find that special catch.

Yeah, what he said!!!

no, that means you have balls. most guys are wimps and give up after the first try. you are showing fortitude. when you give up then you truly failed. everything else is gravy.

never, never, never give up. - winston churchill

You eventually reach a point where you think “nothing’s going my way. Fuck it.” and then you are no longer bound by inhibition or self-consciousness. It’s not quite having balls - but it is one way to develop them. It’s how I did.

Courage mixed with hopelessness can achieve some brilliant results. :stuck_out_tongue:

as long as you don’t crawl under a rock and go into hiding and cry woe is me.

That comes before the “fuck it” stage.

hope you didn’t stay there long
