Yea: I asked four friends to homecoming and it's the fourth year I won't be going

This is stupid. I asked four friends to homecoming, in which, one was already going with somebody, one is going on vacation, and two never gave me a reply. Everybody’s taken and this is my fourth year I won’t be going to homecoming. wish i knew where i went wrong

and yeah, women can just go back to the fucking kitchen…

Hey now, there goes that Eeyore attitude again! “Nobody loves me, I’m all alone.” Screw it man, who cares if you got no reply. Fuck it! Go anyway! You’re starting to go back to your negative attitude, better put you back on track!

I have a feeling you haven’t been trying to be assertive and confident no matter what puts you down, huh? What do you look like? I doubt you’re an unattractive kid.

Very true! I went by myself my senior year and ended up having a BLAST (and this was before I’d discovered pheromones). Keep the faith!

It’s like though that I can’t get rid of it. It’s been ingrained since I was a little kid… i know its not a very good excuse, but ahh i dunno.

I dunno if I’m attractive or not, but I’ll put a pic up later, you guys be the judge

No one’s going to judge you, because everyone has different tastes, no one will ever be attractive to everyone in the world. And what do you mean it has been ingrained in you since you were a little kid?

Now THIS I think I can relate to. I was brought up feeling that I wasn’t as good as other people. It was something that I was taught for as far back as I can remember that I wasn’t as smart as other people or that a certain person in my life wasn’t happy and it was my fault. A lot to lay on a little kid.

Took me a long time to realize and consistent focus to help get that mindset changed. If I can change my mindset into a positive one, you can do it, too! There will always be times where you will question yourself. That is natural. Just try and look for the stepping stones where you may see stumbling blocks.

Yep, very true Snoops. I was also the same when I was a kid, and obviously it’s still hard to keep confident but at least now I know that I’m not the only one who goes through this as no one will ever be perfect. If someone thinks they are, then I’m sorry to say but they’re delusional. I’m definitely way more positive now than I was back then, although I still need work, but as mentioned I’m not alone.

I’m not trying to say you’re helpless LTD, but I think that you would definitely benefit from therapy. It seems like you have some deep issues that are really affecting you and possibly even holding you back from greater things to come, and greater things in the present.

I was just like you, but i realizzed today, that none of thats true, im cute, girls think so. 1-2 sperays ammo on wrists and neck (split the spray between all 3 places) and 5 drops of a314 (im 18 yrs old) actually help, because today i was realizing that girls really do like me. contrary to what i was taught, im not unattractive, im not a loser, im not an idiot.

Remember, have a plan for your life and a plan for accomplishing it, plan to go to college, even if its community college, and plan to live a better life, make more money and be an infulence in the world… make it your main focus, because it is what you was created to do. and when you do that; have a goal and a plan to achieve it, girls pick up on it SUB-CONCIOUSLY, and they think you are more attractive.

Gud luck!

Well said.

Pics, please. It’s time to give you some feedback, I think.

You’ve gotta shake off this mindset that you can’t or won’t attend homecoming (or other events) without a date. There is a lot more to life than girls, and you’re not giving the rest of it a fair shake. Just go, hang out with your friends, and have some fun. A confident guy who doesn’t need me is going to get my attention a whole lot faster than someone who is needy and clingy. I can’t stand that. Most of the girls you’re around probably feel the same.

Branch out and explore lots of interests. Not only will in make life more enjoyable, but guys who know something about a lot of different subjects are just more interesting to be with. It’ll show through, and girls will find you more attractive. It doesn’t matter if it’s racing, painting, a musical instrument, a sport, or whatever. Follow what you’re passionate about. You’ll end up meeting people who are passionate about the same things.

at first it was looking bleak for the north during the civil war, until some guy called grant came along and opened up a can of whip ass. did Lincoln give up? NO, he said, we are not losing this war, and the rest is history. you might have lost a few battles and it might look bleak, but don’t give up the war. knowing is half the battle.

you should read, it’s not about the bike and every second counts by lance armstrong.

You already seem to be into the guitar, so I’m guessing you’re passionate about that at least. So why not write a song, a freaking killer song with a nice chord structure, melody, harmony, and solo and wow the people! Show off your skills if you’re really good at it, girls like guitar players who pour out their emotions on their guitar playing. However, don’t do it to please a girl per say but use it as a tool to pour your emotions out to. Think of using your guitar as a therapist, make it sing out your feelings and show it off. Show off that you can play, people would really find that interesting. That’s why you see so many skinny emo nerdy kids with a lot of girls because they’re attracted to that sort of stuff, so if those type of guys can gets girls so can you!

Something like the great Paul Waggoner!

Well that’s me folks. As you see to the right is my fender stratocaster 57 reissue MIJ with a YJM neck pickup, favorite guitar (most of you know why). And to the right is my ESP LTD M-1000 Deluxe.

You don’t look like a bad looking kid, you look pretty better looking than me and I’m married so I know you can definitely do it! It does look like you have a serious heavy face though, like if you don’t want to smile or are uncomfortable doing it. Kind of tense, not sure how to explain it. Maybe it’s just that one picture, so this is what I’m only going by. But you don’t look like a bad kid, a little makeover and keep up on your grooming and you’ll be good (not saying that you don’t groom or that it looks like you don’t groom!)

Nice guitars by the way!

i would say you are better than average so definitely not the looks holding you back.

Agreed. Definitely must be your self esteem issues.

Yeah, I have a stern-face. I can smile, but my braces show, however I do get them off in january. Definite plus there.

Btw, I went my football game, and I just talked to both my less attractive and attractive friends. It was an ok night to say the least.

And thanks! I was thinking of either replacing the neck on the fender with a 70s neck, or getting a new strat

A 70’s neck? Wow, so you want that vintage baseball bat feel? Wait, I think the baseball bat neck necks on Strats were actually on 60’s models? I have a Standard Telecaster and I love the neck on it, not too thick or thin.

There is nothing the matter with your looks.

I think you need to come up with a look that reveals something about you. Jeans and t-shirt are okay, and comfortable, and most of us wear them a lot. But you’re wrapping yourself in an image that is bland.

Sensible haircut, t-shirt, jeans, no smile.
It can come off as kinda boring.

One of the reasons that DJAndarial gets so much attention from the ladies is that he focuses on his clothing and grooming. From across the room women can see that he is confident, takes himself seriously and believes he is worthy of their attention. All in about two seconds, from observing from a distance.

The reason Taibo has such success with his hair is because he takes a risk with it. Women like a daring guy who isn’t afraid of a risk or a challenge. I’m not suggesting that you grow your hair out and spike it, because that might not work for you. I’m just suggesting that you package yourself in such a way that when others view you, then can see that you’re not ordinary.

I don’t believe that anyone is ordinary.
I do think that most of us are concerned enough about being rejected that we don’t let the real us shine through very often.

When you imagine yourself on a date, or experiencing some success with the ladies, what do you see? Do you see yourself dressed, groomed a certain way?
Start now. Wrap yourself in the persona that you see in your imagination…and pretty soon it will be you. No…that’s not right. It IS you, the rest of us just haven’t seen that side yet.

nah I like the large headstock ala Yngwie

I like Japan Stratocasters, ive played mexican and american, and they aren’t as good.

Moonwhisper: Well do you have any tips on grooming, style, and such? I do have problems with achme and the one I use hardly works.

What do you suggest?
