Hi PheroTalk! You guys seem pretty well versed in a lot of interesting topics, I look forward to talking with you and maybe joining in on some other threads! I’m a guy in my late 20’s and working in the Czech Republic. I grew up in the US and moved here a few years ago while traveling around. They have great beer here!
I’m looking into using pheromones mostly to help at work, and a little to help with talking to people.
I get along fine with other guys, some even say I’m fairly respected. There have been a few incidents though where alpha males, usually someone like a boss/supervisor, I regularly interact with will freak out towards me and accuse me of “acting against them” somehow or dishonesty/incompetence. In most of these incidents it was completely proven that I didn’t do anything wrong, so they must be making stuff up for some reason. It seemed to happen a little after I got back from a long trip/vacation. I also got some similar hostility when I felt my testosterone was high after working out and taking terrestris tribulus herbs.
I’ve read a bit about pickup, NLP, neuro science, social dynamics, and pheromones. I think my natural pheromones could be causing alpha males to view me as a threat to their dominance which causes distortion and deletion in their memories to backwards rationalize their hostility to me, or something like that. Any ideas on what’s going on there?
My current situation is that my boss sometimes seems a bit hostile towards me. Maybe he feels threatened by me, maybe he’s worried that he could be replaced, maybe it’s pheromones causing aggression and distorting his perception of me, I don’t know.
Which pheromones would you guys suggest that could improve the responses I get with alpha males to make sure I present an image of trustworthiness, competence, friendliness and openness? Anything else I can do to help with that image?
I need to work on my social skills too, so I’ve been reading about pickup (where I heard about pheromones) and focusing on improving myself but I haven’t been out in the field for a long time. I’m finally at a point where I’m ready to get back out there and really hone my skills. I could use an edge in opening sets though, so I can get the most practice from each approach.
Thanks for any advice!
