Well, I would say that the first step is to work on your own levels of self-confidence. Confident men are sexy. If you have the attitude and really believe there is no way this girl will look at you than you are in danger of creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.
There is something the guys on this site call inner game. I think that working on your inner game could help you - not just with this girl but with your confidence levels all round.

You might have just read one of my posts. I was just talking about the Inner Game, and in my opinion, everything else (mones, money and good looks) are only accessories to a strong inner game.

A little background: The Inner Game may have been coined by someone else, but David DeAngelo probably gives the best detail on how to strengthen it, and make it your tool. Its not just for use on women either. It works in all areas of life and the more you learn it, the more powerful, respected and well liked you become. If I could suggest anything, it would be Inner Game by David D. and possibly 77 Laws.
If you have only one chance, you are fooling yourself. If you already kinda know her, and she has not totally ditched you, then your “first impression” has gone well enough. Now working on yourself will make the biggest difference. Self Confidence is soo key here. Being able to exert a bit of playfulness helps alot (in otherwords keeping things light). Most important, even if you make a few small mistakes, you are showing you are not afraid of risks. If you go into a conversation and maybe studder, you can always make up for it with a little joke about it. Don’t be a clown but show that you can be funny, smart and a little adventurous.
One Last thing that matters more than all that. Be Genuine. To her, and yourself. They know when you are just running game… and that will get you some where, but maybe not as far as you would have gone if you would have been genuine.
