I was going to see some people I kind of know so I thought they’ll already know me well enough that I can change signature and not have fallout.
Like many here I’ve been afraid to try the jerk but no more.
Two sprays of jerk, one to each side of neck.
I didn’t get hits off everyone and it seemed to start slow. Maybe a little space invasion when not totally necessary, a glance here and there…but when it hit, it hit
The big one, but not the only one - in a crowd, typical city queuing to get into the subway, I turn around and see a girl my age giving me total stares. Almost trance-like but totally conscious of the fact she’s staring. I think “that’s jerk - she’s been hooked from behind!” -I look away, look around again 5 seconds later and she’s still staring, I’m starting to blush a little and look away, look back and it’s like that breaks the trance and she smiles and looks away. 10 seconds later I look around and she looks back at me smiling again.
This was 8.30am. I’m looking forward to wearing this on a night out when people’s behaviour and attraction isn’t so moderated by the fact they are on an early morning commute to work.

I can’t speak for Steve but I think the name is more based on the opinion of very dominant, confident and assertive males that are successful with women as is held by what the PUA community refers to as AFC’s.
Essentially a jealous hater attitude. Some guys are so desperate for attention and approval from women that they spend their days capitulating to a woman’s every whim, raising her on a pedestal and trading status for approval thinking this is what she wants and what will attract her to him. Then these self proclaimed (but inaccurately so) “nice guys” see the guys that do their own thing, know what they want and go after it guns blazing. These guys approach women and relationships with a level of confidence, and aggressiveness the nice guys lack, what’s more they have a lack of desperation that means they’re not afraid to walk away from a girl if the relationship isn’t giving them what they want. So the “nice guys” assume women like jerks. I mean he must be a jerk, he’s not kissing her ass the way they’re willing to do.
The thing is Instant Jerk communicates a physically dominant, assertive and cocky sort of guy. Old Jerk used to contain copulins which would subconsciously communicate preselction and thus a likely willingness to walk away (as the jerk is known to have other option) All very attractive traits. It’s not that women love actual jerks (although many will mistake a genuine jerk for a confident alpha type), but rather they are attracted to men who’s confidence in themselves trumps their attraction to any one woman.
Just want to point out that most women would find that version ( Nutty Professor) of the Jerk very unattractive. Remember that was fiction and highly dramatized to bring a vibe across to the viewer. Jerry Lewis did a great job of it to. I saw him in a interview years ago where he said he lost a lot of his female fan base after that movie because he came off as so obnoxious in his alter ego. He said one women walked up to him on the street and slapped him (snort) He said he took that as a compliment to his acting ability though. LOL I suggest you watch his body language and tone down alot of the other stuff he was doing.
Sure girls may attract to extreme jerks just like we attract to accidents on the side of the highway. They are interesting and fascinating but you dont want to have one of your own.
You really have to find balance with cocky. A little cocky can go a long way. To cocky is just yuck. Look at the body language of Tony in Scarface. Thats more jerk. Minus all the crime and violence of course.
I would hope that the guys realize that it’s a rather extreme caricature of what the attractive jerk is. I mean let’s be honest, in the real world grabbing a bartender by his shirt and barking your drink order or sucker punching another patron won’t keep you in the bar/club for very long. But the core essence is there.
The jerk isn’t afraid of standing out, it takes confidence to wear a bright loud attention grabbing outfit without feeling insecure about the looks you get.
The jerk is assertive and expects to be treated with respect…a more realistic way to respond to a bartender with a surly attitude would be to call him on his poor customer service skills. “Are you having a bad night or something because I’m getting the impression that you don’t like your job very much, or is it just MY business you don’t want?” Usually when people on the clock are moody they don’t realize they’re being obvious about it and when called on it, they know they can get in trouble and will usually become more self aware and correct themselves.
Few if any guys will be as extreme, but movies usually make extreme characters because they rarely have as many dimensions as real people so they go to depth of one dimension in order to make the characters more memorable and compelling. I would hate for somebody to try and 100% emulate Buddy Love, but to be honest many guys are so far to the other extreme (the professor) that adding a “touch” of that type of personality can be quite beneficial.
I think people have got to stop thinking real life is an act like a movie scene. Movies have lines, stories, exciting plots, etc and amazing camera men. Real life you don’t have time for million of lines for every situation.
Besides the nutty professor guy isn’t a jerk he’s an asshole. There is a difference.
To me the only benefit to being a jerk is to be able to be that which is “untamed” which is a quality some women love, not to be a prick.
If one doesn’t have the status, money, power, and alpha ness to succeed in the business world at high levels, or the extreme body, and physical skills to succeed in the player world, there’s the jerk. Another alpha ness quality but one where one should appear non needy and not afraid to speak their mind.
However, I never really liked bitches and I feel Instant Jerk may be just that for a man. Who would like that in a man?
They should not of called it instant jerk as its getting a bad rap because of the image.
I think to have a woman like me I could never walk around being an ass*ole all the time. You would have to know WHEN to be tough and WHEN to be nice.
Tripping an old lady is just NOT funny… nor is talking about it.
Howard Stern is a loser. i don’t see why any man would want to be like him.
I ordered IJ too but wonder how I will react to it. My SO says I already look like a tough guy, I may come across as an ass*ole if my look is already tough and I start acting like a jerk.
Tisha, can you give us guys some concrete tips on how to be a jerk without being an ass*ole?
We need more of a woman’s opinion on how to be untamed and a stud but not the attraction every one stops to look at but no one hangs around to get to know.
I agree Howard Stern is a a-hole (sorry howard). I think he was a bad example of IJ. It has nothing to do with the way he looks but his attitude. No women would be attracted to that attitude if it wasn’t lined in cash like his is. People hear his personality on the radio, hear stupid dunderheaded girls giggling over his crassness and then see him walking around with hot women and think women are attracted to guys that act like a-holes. They are only attracted to his status and Gucci wallet. They can care less about him nor does he care about them.
I agree I think people misunderstand IJ because of its name. When it first came out it was more about sexual status because it contained copulins. It gave a player effect, a guy in demand, one who has been around…sort of a playboy.
You ever see that movie legally blond with Reese Witherspoon where she is walking to her dorm and see’s a fellow classmate (male) being humiliated by 2 girls…so she walks up and slaps him and talks about him being a sex god and a jerk for not calling her and blaa blaa blaa and then suddenly the two girls want his number. That’s the Jerk vibe with copulins. Its just girls wanting what other girls want and the guy being to self absorbed to care.
The new IJ lacks copulins so its vibe has changed a bit. It gives a raw abrupt highly masculine aggressive vibe. Not really the literal “jerk”
“The Jerk vibe” that attracts women is bordering on conceit. A high confidence with a lack of fear for repercussions to what you say and do. This doesn’t mean go out and act like a ass or be mean to people. It means being blatant in your words and actions.
You flirt blatantly, your blunt, confident, aggressive, body language is exaggerated to pull attention to self. Basically you dont give a crap what people think of you and you march to the beat of your own drum. A tad self absorbed. You dont have to actually be a Jerk or trip old ladies in the street.

I feel that most good PUA material will give you tips on being a jerk. Thats basically what a Pick up Artist is… a jerk. I think that is why the phrase PUA and the material sometimes gets a bad rap. You dont have to take it to the extreme like some of the material teaches but pluck out what you can work into your character. You can use the material to attract and keep one women or to bang a handful that depends on your needs and how much of a jerk you want to be.
There is a little Jerk in every man and a little bitch in every women. There is a little “nice guy” in every man and a little sweet girl in every women. Its all in our nature. Just gotta balance it out a bit without going to the extreme in either direction.
