Is delta the new gnarly?

OK, maybe I’m slipping. I could swear that I’m hearing people using “delta” in situations where I might have said “gnarly”. Gnarly used to connote smooth fast and loud like a great wave or motorcycle. Any of you hearing delta as in “because I’m so delta” being used for the same sort of slang meaning? Maybe I’d be better off asking for a definition from some of you 18-20’s since that’s the age group I’m hearing this from? And where does it come from?

never heard it used like that, lol…

That..news to me. That is soo delta? Hmm..I must be getting old..doesn’t sound right at all.

I’ve never heard it used that way, and I spend 5 days a week on a college campus.

I live on a college campus… And i’m 20… and i’ve never heard that phrase in my life… Maybe those kids were high?

Maybe I’m all wet and they’ve been saying something else. I got glasses last year maybe it’s time for a hearing aid?

WHAT? :stuck_out_tongue:

Or, if they actually are using delta in place of gnarly, maybe it’s time to associate with new people!

The only way I’ve heard “Delta” used is to indicate “changes”.

If you’ve ever watched black hawk down, then you’ll know that the ‘deltas’ are a group of very very elite fighters. DUH.

Honestly, I don’t know what us kids are up to nowadays. . . . crazy $H!7 like ‘in da hood’ or ‘wuddup mah bra’. Kids are getting dumber and dumber :frowning:. I want to cry about it sometimes. I have too many “holy shit, are you serious?!?!?!? Can people really be THAT useless?!?” moments these days. But this is just a generalization, I usually place myself away from those people, but I have having to walk through crowds of them ><.

I thought of that when I heard it, but it didn’t quite fit the context. Could be though.

Naw kids, are not getting dumber. I wore a chartruese leisure suit to jr prom. :open_mouth:
