Mix calculator 3.0: software for calculations to create your own mixes

If you could send me the code I could try making a version directly in Excel…

Certain parts of the code may be hard to implement completely in Excel, although it can be done. I will send you the code but you have to share with us whatever application you create with it, maybe something that works on Linux, hopefully!

I promise!

Here is the link to download the code behind mix calculator software. Enjoy!

Cool! Will download as soon as I’m home! Which reminds me: It’s about time to leave the damn office…

OSX version? is it possible… i dont want to be demanding:o

Hi there nbully, many thanks for the mix calc! Repped ya!

Thanks for the reps guys!

29 downloads of the software and 3 downloads of the code so far…anyone put it to use yet…does it work as intended, I am curious! Also, I am still open to modifications if anyone has any input, so let me know.

Hi nbully,

I’ve tried using the calc, its veryimpressive.

Just 2 very minor things that I’m confused about, I’m wondering what does the second column mean? Available mcg/ml (I think). Also, no matter what bottle size I input it still gives a small level of ml’s. It’s easy to multiple the numbers to get the correct level, so it’s no biggy.

Regards

Rattle

Thanks Rattle!

The second column is for “Available ml/spray”.

If your component is in a 5ml to-go sized bottle, enter 0.125 in this column, and if the component is in 30 ml full-size bottle, enter 0.15 in this column.

(Reason: to-go bottle has 40 sprays for 5ml, therefore it outputs 0.125 ml/spray; full-size bottle has 200 sprays for 30 ml, therefore it outputs 0.15 ml/spray)

You are right about the second question. The software is designed to give you the lowest amount possible for mixing which fits in the specified bottle size.

So, like you said, if you need higher amounts you just multiply all the quantities by a number.

Stupid RapidShare !!!@##!#!

Ha ha, stupid indeed, I don’t like rapidshare either but mmshare was down that day.

OK, here are the download links from mmshare

Download software: http://mmshare.co.uk/en/download.php?id=13A8FC0C7 (http://mmshare.co.uk/en/download.php?id=13A8FC0C7)

Download code: http://www.mmshare.co.uk/en/download.php?id=A09081767 (http://www.mmshare.co.uk/en/download.php?id=A09081767)

I noticed that when i ran setup the calc didnt work but as soon as i opened the folder MixCalculator_3_0_0_0 and double clicked the mix calculator it worked fine.

Hope that helps some of you :].

Stretchpanda, thanks for the reps! You know you repped me twice in the past month for the mix calculator. You must really love me…it!:stuck_out_tongue:

the calc deserves major reppage. No other calculators are online and yours worked fairly painlessly (lol after the first time, i was confused at first). Every time i have to look up this post to refer someone to it i rep you :stuck_out_tongue:.

Thanks for your comments, man! Glad, it’s of use to someone.

Nbully, calculator does not seem to work for me, it seems it’s regional related because here we use commas (,) for decimal points (.) (excel implement this regional differences automatically) and if I input one data as 0.15 the sheet writes that data on the left of the cell like if it was text. If I write it 0,15 , the sheet writes the data on the right like if it was a number (I suppose that’s the correct way) but maybe your calculations don’t work with a comma as decimal point. The thing is I always get 0 sprays of every component as a result .

Would you please post a little tutorial (what do we have to input in each cell) with a simple test mixing 2 components at any concentration so I can see if I am doing anything wrong or it’s a regionally related problem?

Thank you very much for the software, really

Hey Capone, I posted some descriptions on my blog some time back. See the posts dated January 24, 2008 and January 20, 2008 at:

My experiences with the sense of smell

Let me know if this helps.

Mix calculator used for Steveo’s P83 based mix

Now my mix calculator can calculate if you want to mix using sprays or by measuring quantities (ml). You can set the error to any percent, the default is zero (i.e. it looks for the combination which gives exactly the output you desire). Also now you can use sprays from different output bottles since every user has some components in 5 ml bottle (0.125 ml/spray) or 30 ml bottle (0.15 ml/spray). Now I am satisfied with it as it is flexible enough for any mixing possibilties.

If someone wants to mix up Steveo’s P83 based mix, here is what they need to mix in a to-go bottle, assuming they have all the components and pure alcohol in a to-go bottle:

[(Step3.PNG (image))

Final Solution as seen in columns “D” and “E” of the mix calculator:

TAA - 12 sprays or 1.8 ml
Beta Androstenol - 15 sprays or 2.25 ml
P93 - 9 sprays or 1.35 ml
P74 - 15 sprays or 2.25 ml
None - 15 sprays or 2.25 ml
TAH - 20 sprays or 3 ml
Alcohol - 4 sprays or 0.6 ml

Sprays of mix to equal desired dosage = 3 sprays (Mix+example.PNG (image))

Wow, you are incredible, Nbully, thank you very much, i’ll post with the results  My re-reps

Hey nbully, if you could repost the code (its no longer up on mmshare either), I could maybe make a mac friendly version for me and bond, and all other mac users in any case.

I might see about making a java version that will work on all platforms as I run eclipse for coding.

Hope to hear back,
