I hate small talk.
Me too. Absolutely despise it. ![]()
I need to learn how to do small talk. I think it’s an important social skill. From just observing people, besides eye contact, body language, and smiles it’s the only way the average joe/jane gets the vibe that you are approachable (totally irrational but that’s often how people think)
Unfortunately where I live in Florida, people do not do small talk much unless they know you a little. It’s not like Texas or the Midwest… people tend to close down here for some reason. It could be so many people are transplants. Alot of people here are just more than a touch psycho/bitter too. It’s a really crazy area (Orlando metro area), really. You’ld think people would be awesomely happy here, but they aren’t. In fact it’s a fairly high crime area and has often been said to be the “angriest city” in the US. All the more reason to wear some pheromones here.
Small talk is easy. It’s just the “talk is cheap” kinda stuff.
Is it ok to ask a girl for her contact info in front of her boyfriend?
Well ain’t this a fine kettle 'o fish…lol
It’s easier for some than others. Either way…ya gotta start somewhere
…it’s necsessary to get to the good/expensive stuff. It ain’t that easy for us either…trust me…when we gotta draaag everything outta you…sheesh. If you can express yourself here…you can do it face to face…so what if it’s a bit uncomfortable. You break your boots in don’tcha? Over time wearing them softens them up and they become more comfortable. Same thing…no excuses. It takes practice…ya just gotta DO IT.

People do small talk everywhere. Yes, midwesterners are more friendly. And, yes, I found people in Orlando to be somewhat..ah…hostile…lol. Still…gotta get out there.
What’s the alternative? Maybe…move? Nah…same problem…gotta overcome it where you stand. That’s the deal. ![]()
NO. …
That depends on where you live.Honestly I get the most small talk from older women, even without pheromones. No wonder a little bit of pheromones seems to get their attention.
Young people here are frankly cold by my sensibilities- pheromones have really helped to “crack” the ice on some of these people and get through their shells and at least talk to me in a way that suggests interest. I think most people down here meet people through work, or they go to clubs. Which sucks for me, especially because I am not into the club scene. No offense to people that are into that scene, but that’s just not how I want to meet people and I’d feel out of place there, my taste in music is so out of step and I don’t drink much, if at all. I need to find some other activity to socialize. I’m at the point I have the basics, now I need to go to the intermediate level.
Instead of whining about it though some point I’ll probably just move… but after a lifetime of that… I hate moving. I mostly blame people from Jersey and NY down here, who seems to wear their, um… attitude, like a badge. Native Floridians aren’t unfriendly, but they are rarer and rarer. This isn’t a big city, but alot of people act like it. With all that open space, you’ld figure people would be a little more expansive, but they aren’t.
You could take up..er…ballroom dancing?
Thanks, btw.

Moving is a pain in the a**…very stressful…sooo in the meantime…ya…about the whining…action man…times a wastin’!
Funny you should say that, D, I think of it as kind of a “refugee camp”. ![]()
Oh Bella… you caught me in the edits again
You know what they say, if you can’t say something nice… I shouldn’t open my big mouth (hands?). Seriously, it isn’t all bad (there are nice, collected/sane people here, but they are harder to find than other metros) but I am shocked by the number of people that say “Orlando is a great place”, and know nothing about the city other than Kissimmee and the resorts. It has alot of social problems, and yes part of it is due to “refugees”. I think if we can put a stop to the “flow” of the “legals” maybe the city would settle down after a while and develope an identity that isn’t based on giving each other the finger, throwing colas in road range incidents, and using the horn in your car as something other than a warning device. Too bad pheros don’t work long distances through car windshields. Maybe mandatory chill pills would help?
Remember what I said earlier about bitter people? People like my brother’s pal are a dime a dozen down here
I need these message boards and the pheromones just to stay sane and balanced. On the contrary, Orlando does show that running away from your problems leads to another orange grove turning into a subdivision filled with bitter people that can’t figure out what’s wrong in their life when they have so many toys and credit cards… and debt.
I just went to the local mall this evening. Really depressing how many stores closed. I don’t know if its the economy or what, but it’s shocking. Bad vibes. OK, enough ranting for today. Only good thoughts from now on… ![]()
I don’t know about others, but don’t try mine because I have an antique cannon which still works!

What’s not nice/wrong with what you said Mr.Quick Hands?
I have a PM box…
Sorry, D, I shoulda been more clear…I meant emotional refugees…
Speaking of a refugee camp…lol.
You could try leaving some in my..ahem…journal.

Ha!Ha!
Good point there!
(I thought our job is to give “encouragement” to people and not to scare them away!
)
Well, these are the circumstances:
- She has been giving me butt loads of IOI’s
- She has already told me that she wants to dump her boyfriend
- It’s obvious to others that she wants me.
- She’s already invited me to her house to ‘help her with something’.
Under the..ahem…circumstances…you can ask her anything ya want…jus not in front of the soon to be ex.
I dun wanna hear 'bout you getting your sexy a** kicked…mkay? Gawd you’re busy…lol
Oh…'n don’t forget to bring..er…“something” with you when ya go to “help her”.

Yeah, that’s what I meant too… emotional refugees. People that figure that moving to another city will fix all their problems, when the problems are often simply that they don’t understand personal finances, or they have a nasty habit of falling in with the wrong crowd and getting used.
I could have used some pheromones about a year ago, when I bought this one bike… I got one from a real sleazy guy. I can’t tell if he’s just dumb, or unethical, or a lousy businessman, but that bike had so many problems (bad radiator, bad fan, a little bit of bad everything, gas tank full of crud- it took me about a month of work to sort everything out) if it wasn’t used, it’d be a lemon. I had to threaten him to get parts off him… for free, or he was gonna get a lawsuit. I hate doing stuff like that, and the amount of anger I was feeling, was just too unhealthy. This behavior is way, way too common here in Orlando, where people do not have reputations to uphold for the most part. He seemed like a nice guy and he did get alot of business, it seemed. I have trouble smelling sociopathic/dumb people. Need to work on that.
Huh? Remember, I said post-hypnotic suggestion worked on me (I deleted the post on purpose). Now you’ve gone and done it… Oh well, have to log a little more trance time. ![]()
BTW, ballroom dancing is one of those things that I’ve always wanted to try, but of course you need a partner for it… my mom always wanted somebody to dance with her because my dad hates dancing. I’m at the point in my life, where I need to start doing alot more stuff on my own. Not because I hate my parents, I don’t, but because I need to develope a life of my own.
In middle school, a girl asked me if I wanted to take some ball room dancing lessons with her. I thought it was ridiculous then, but I regret not taking that chance now. I probably would have been a much bigger pimp in HS. ![]()
I’ve been at a nightclub on a date with a girl and had some fucking asshole hit on my date with me standing right there.
The dude walked over and asked her to dance, which she refused. He then stood there and kept talking to her for a minute, and although I was getting irritated, I could not hear what he was saying to her. She brushed him off and he finally left.
After he walked away she told me that after he asked her to dance, he then tried to hit on her, and she told him that she was on a date with me. Then he asked her to meet him there another night.
I considered that extremely disrespectful and wanted to track him down and beat the shuit out of him, but restrained myself.
You and me both man. Only bad guys are cock-blockers. Friends. . . guide the cock
- Superbad.
