Trying for a social cologne based on hedione.
To 15 parts hedione, adding 1 part A-1, 1 part musk accord, 1 part castorium accord, 1 part woody vetiver, and 1 part jasmine accord. It has a twist of rose absolute from an earlier, simpler hedione base.
Too bad that I don’t have a lemon accord. That would make it something like my favorite - Eau Sauvage.
If I find myself in a sexual situation, I might use this as a cover for NPA.
I am very interested in how this turns out and would like to see your results. I am finding cologne and essential oils can really help with the mones. I made an EO mix with Hedione and posted about it in my journal post #170.
I haven’t got it completely tuned yet as i have patchouli and ylang and they are both base notes and very strong.
I do find though that with my oil get hits with it by itself.
I have been meaning to look more into what you are doing and i need to find a balance of base middle and top notes.
I hope you post your results and good luck.
A little too much top floral I think. The “woody vetiver” accord is not holding up its end. I think I’ll had a couple drops of vetiver essential oil to beef up the base.
Covered NPA with the original batch and it had the GF going wild in the sheets - but that could have just been little ol’ me.
BTW, I don’t think of ylang as base note. Isn’t it a warm floral?
Depending on what i mix Ylang with. It seems to come thru as a base oil to me maybe i am wrong.
Hey whitehall do you have a lot of experience with EO? If so maybe you can guide me a little. I am making EO mixes with 25% Hedione and want to see what you think. My EO are Patchouli, Ylang Ylang, Orange, Neroli, Jamine, Rose, and i have a bunch of others to. I have DPG oil and then Conjurator suggested maybe add some PA a very little amount
One of my favorite uses of EOs is to add to clary sage the top of hot tub water. It makes for a sense of intoxication that is very sexual.
I’ll put rose absolute in a diffuser when a lady is coming over for casting a romantic spell. Jasmine hits me like that too but is very sweet-smelling which limits its uses. Glad hedione can replace it.
Ylang-ylang is too sticky sweet and flowery for my tastes but without the pheromone effects of rose and jasmine. Patchouli is just too Haight-Ashbury for a straight guy in the SF Bay Area - too many hippie connotations.
If I want mental stimulation, black pepper is the way to go for me but citruses are usually praised for that role but leave me cold.
Added a few drops of vetiver to my concoction and it did beef up the base and may have added some staying power for the hedione.
