I have received some samples from Les Senteurs in London of some Creed frags I have always wanted to try. And this is my initial take on the fragrances.
SANTAL IMPERIAL
A nice old fashioned take on Sandalwood that seems to my nose to be a bit stuffy. This just does not last it just evaporates on my skin real quick. The Sandalwood seems to lack something I just have not been able to put my finger on though its more woody than some. I still like Tam Dao more than this.
ACIER ALUMINIUM
Smells like powdered banana/fruit that has a dirty note in its base. You could imagine that character Dirk Diggler from that film Boogie Nights wearing this. I like it as its different, a scent you could imagine attaining a cult following. You know I swear I have smelled this scent in a joss stick but just cannot remember the name of it.
ROYAL ENGLISH LEATHER
JESUS CHRIST, Oh urrrrrr sorry about that. The opening of this scent knocked my senses for six.
Ok I am now back to normal after that olfactory assault from Royal English Leather. This opened with a sharp concentrated powdery mandarin scent that could give gas masks real good business if the scent went mainstream. Cannot help thinking urinal cakes in a public toilet.
I am catching a bit of leather but only just as the super blast of sweet mandarin powder is getting in the way. It gets better in the dry down but you will have to wait, anyone wanting to try this will have to go easy on the trigger. As this fragrance can clear rooms.
I had a sample of Tom Fords Tuscan leather and had been looking forward to seeing how that measured up to Royal English Leather.
I just could not handle this scent, to much for me. Come here Tuscan Leather and give me a hug, I sorry I doubted you. Can you forgive me. You are the one, Royal English Leather meant nothing to me. The affair is over I promise you are my one and true leather fragrance. Lol
ROYAL DELIGHT
This is a very nice sweet floral and the quality of the jasmine is very good. At first I thought air freshener fragrance but I am wrong. This is a beautiful constructed scent with quality ingredients that shines through. A sweet jasmine powder I can smell from th get go.
Feminine you say, yes there is no mistaking that but that aspect to it does quietened down though its still there. I need to spend more time with this before I make up my mind if I could wear it. Did I say that its a beautiful fragrance because to me it is.
SELECTION VERTE
Woooohhh a herbal minty fragrance. It smells like those candy lemon drops coated in icing sugar. I am not getting the love for this one, maybe its the sweet pea note that I have never smelled before.
Lemon drops is what I get, I am going to have to spend some more time with this one to see if I can appreciate more.
