Hi all. I stumbled across this site because I recently decided that I would do whatever it takes to find my old Andron again. When it was introduced a zillion years ago, I was addicted intstantly. When I could no longer find it, I found that it was being manufactured under the name Jovan2. When that was no longer available, I scoured perfume outlets across the country and scored a case. When the case was gone, I went into my long lonely slide into withdrawal. To think I once had a CASE of the stuff! To fix ny cracing, I bought a bottle of Jovan2 on ebay. CRAP!!! What a ripoff. It was probably a tester bottle and it didn’t have one-tenth the “oomph” of the original Andron. So I started researching everything there could be read about Andron, hoping to reproduce it. The more I learned, the more I knew it would be impossible to duplicate it exactly. So, here I am. To learn all i can abouth a viable Andron replacement. Wish me luck. LOL

I splashed on som Andron and men & women would flock around me. Now…I don’t even know where to start as far as a replacement. Everyone says this is the best, no, that is the best. Andron…Hmmm… I have actually seen that one for sale every now and then on Ebay. You might want to check there. Wasn’t that an alpha-androstenol based product? Someone correct me if I am wrong.
Androtics has many different products that will turn you into the attention- grabbing goddess that you were with Andron. It depends if you want to be more sexy, sexual, or friendly, or respected? Which do you prefer? I can recommend many good mixes.
You should decide for yourself, really. But I strongly suspect that if you were to try Androtics products that you would be swayed in that direction.

We worked with Andron’s original perfumers (the ones who designed it for Jovan; they also made famous colognes such as Drakkar Noir, and, in fact, 4 out of every 10 FiFi award winning fragrances) to help design our products basic chemistry. The difference is more than 25 years of learning on their part, combined with over 30 usable pheromone molecules from us (vs. the 1 that was in Andron).
We’re the only company that combines the finest fragrance technology (more for how it enhances pheromone availability than it’s smell) with the broadest pallette of human pheromones.
Now, Andron was a heavy alpha-androstenol product. We could make something similar for you, but it probably wouldn’t work the same now as you did for you then. It’s been many years, and I’m sure you’re now a very different person than you were then.
If you’d like something that should give give a similar effects for you at this stage of your life, I’d recommend what we’ve been calling Instant Sexiness “Mix B”.
I apologize for all the crazy names and mix numbers… we do a lot of research here, and being in the midst of ongoing research is messy! 
Eventually something like “Mix B” of Instant Sexiness mix will be churned out under a much simpler name – “Drive Him Crazy”.
To get mix B, just order Instant Sexiness and request “Mix B” in your order notes. I think will be the key formula for you to start with.
I usually hesitate to recommend test products to newbies, but The Liquid Sunshine test pack might also be good for you. You get 5 little bottles, all with different mixtures. All will create a “bright” presence, sort of like Andron did, but amplified. Nothing in there will create untoward effects, so you can spray n’ go to your hearts content.

Would you recommend straight TAH or Instant Sexiness Mix B, which is centered around TAH?
Actually, if we were to go that route, I would always recommend Instant Sexiness to new users, but supplement it with more TAH. I absilutely love TAH, and I usually wear 50 to 75 mcg of it at a time. I own the 25 mcg a spray dosage. As for chosing either Instant Sexiness Mix A(Stacey this has TAL in it) as opposed to Mix B(with TAH instead of TAL), I would say to just go for the Mix A, just to give that certain amount of Jolie confidence that men seem to love(and to accent your own confidence). And then, accessorize this with as much TAH as you might feel a need for on any particular day to be less intimidating. Stacey, I have a problem with both men and women being intimidated by me as well, and this combo works well to tone that down a bit.
I would also recommend that you try out the Liquid Sunshine series I have tested these several times in the past week at different holiday parties, and everyone seems to want to be my best friend. I feel like the center of attention.
And for Michael: why Mix A instead of Mix B? Because there are times when I want to accentuate or amplify my personality with the TAL in Mix A. There are moments when I want to appear more confident by using Mix A, despite the intimidation that it may cause. Sometimes intimidation can be used to an advantage in certain situations. I do not currently own Mix B, but I have plans to purchase it in the future with 5X the cops in it.

I’m sure the technology is far superior now (scary when I think how WELL Andron worked) but the scent was also irresistable. I’m wondering if there is currently a scent out there that matches the old Andron to which I could add the latest most powerful unscented pheromones to?
stacey, I have researched Andron, not the actual chemical formula, as I think it was never disclosed to the general public, though to my knowledge it was mainly a .nol based perfume, however, the testimonials of the original Andron that was launched in the early 80’s can be viewed by on the internet by users such as yourself, all I can say is I wish I tried it. Seems like it was a great product. What interests me is Vintage scents/perfumes and pheromone formulas, it’s common knowledge that ‘things’ were made better in the past, as in quality of materials, they were more robust and bold, I wonder if this also is true for pheromones? I bet it was.

I know and work with the technology group that made Andron. While fragrance companies never real their formula directly, I do know that many fragrance molecules they used to use back then are now off the market for “safety concerns”. Most perfumes and colognes have slowly changed, while manufacturers silently reformulate. There has also been a mass exodus to cheap Chinese made molecules by many cosmetics related companies, and those molecules NEVER test at the purity rates the source manufacturerer claims. If you think a cologne smells differently today than it did 20 years ago, then you’re probably right.
That said, I don’t see a safety concern with androstenol? However, not knowing how much you need, they may have used what would be considered “too much” today. They probably just piled it on, considering some of the reviews. They may have even used more than I put into the fun Spaceland test product… and that’s a lot!
Then again, we should consider that most people tend to put the past on an alter mentally, rewriting history so the past is “golden”, and not as good as today. This has to be taken into consideration.
Of course, if you’re talking about Andron’s era, in some ways it was better, especially socially. That would’ve influenced the perception of the perfume. There was not as much as fear about sex (AIDs awareness was only beginning, and had not reached hysteria levels), people were more open to communicating in person (no mass connectivity via computers). In general, too, the early 80 had more of a much more “fun”, pro-social feel overall (at least here in the states). Context influences the benefits any social product will give you.
All that said, it would be interesting to try out a bottle of Andron today. Test it out in today’s social social milieu. Also, if anyone has some they can send me, I’d be happy to try suss it’s concentration and the main molecules responsible for diffusion, so I could try to make a modern equivalent.
Like I said earlier. I recently bought an “authentic unopened original bottle” of Andron on Ebay. Because I know intimately all about Andron from being an original purchaser since its introduction in 1981, what I received was actually a diluted tester. In fact I’m willing to bet that the testers had little or none of the pheromones af the actual product. If I sent you a sample, it would only help you in identifying the scent of Andron, rather than the actual chemical makeup of the original authentic Andron.
When Andron was disco’d by Jovan and reintroduced by Quintiessence (sp?) as Jovan2, it APPEARED to be the same, but that was only a subjective opinion.
Now here’s the most important part, some time ago I actually found on the web the ORIGINAL FORMULATION OF ANDRON. Like a dummy, I lost the link and do you think I can find it again? I’m renewing my search for that site and I would like to send you that link so you can tewll me what you think.
BTWm some of you may think I’m being overly fanatical about Andron and I can understand that. Just understand that when I did wear it, it absolutely, unequivacably with NO doubt worked.

Heh… I doubt anyone thinks less of you just because you’re excitement. Hey, people like excitement.
If you’re receiving a less than enthusiastic response from the crowd here, it’s just because they’re used quite a number of pheromones that work. That’s actually not such a big deal these days, especially with women’s products. Most women are very capable at noticing signs of attraction from men, as well as general social reactions. It’s mostly men that live in a type of social awareness bubble (which is why we all train vigorously to notice body language and what are now being called IOIs). In general, most untrained guys have no idea when someone is authentically interested in them, unless they’re verbally and explicitly told. They wouldn’t know attraction if it bit them (which is why we’re working on social awareness training videos).
So, anyway… from what you just said here… I take it that your new bottle of Andron from ebay is not working like the old one did?
How long ago did you first try Andron?
Also, if you CAN get some Andron that DOES work as well for you as the original did, then do send me a few ml. I’m usually against analyzing legitimate products from other companies, but Andron hasn’t been around for years, and is never coming back. If need be, and with enough interest from everyone here, I’m not against having this one analyzed.
Even without technical analysis, I should be able to roughly guess it’s contents by the effects produced.
You are correct. The bottle I recently got on ebay is totally ineffective and the scent does not stay as long.
I’m still going nuts trying to find that lost link to the chemical makeup of the original Andron intro’d in '81.

I have learned of the company that DEVELOPED Andron for Jovan.
I just got off the phone with them and they are WILLING to reproduce Andron to their original formula if I’m willing to jump through hoops with their legal and marketting departments, et al.
