Pheromones and hormones with PCOS: do I need more to get the usual effects?

Well, that’s what I was actually hoping to hear. It sounds like you should be fine with copulins then. I would still probably suggest keeping an eye out to see if you start to feel less feminine while using cops though.

Yeah, you shoud be fine with either one. Instant Honesty is mainly Beta Androstenol, and Instant Openness is mainly Alpha Androstenol.

The Instant Shine suggested by Tisha is another great choice. It will create a happy-feel-good atmosphere for you and those around you.

And as Instant Sexiness (B) was my initial suggestions, I would probably have to say that I agree with Tisha on that one too. I did not know that it also contained cops though, and thought the cops were a special order addition. But hey, I’m a guy and have no real reason to know anyway, right?

I can’t claim to know a thing about pcos or pheromones in relation to. But I can say hands down the most softening self effect product for me is mx135 as a mix and tah from the experimone section. Mx135 paired with 2 sprays of est is another favorite.

Thanks so much for your responses  I truly appreciate it–PCOS in and of it self is extremely hard to deal, even harder to talk about and share with others because of its symptoms but I am tired of living in the shadows…

Im going to research all of your suggestions and compile a shopping list–I found the suggestion of TAH quite funny as it is my nick-name…Guess thats a sign huh? Thanks again!

Well then, Tah it is! And, it’s easier to type than your user name.

You are welcome, and I’m sure if you’ve been looking around the forums you’ve already started to see what an awesome group of people we have here, who are ready and willing to help in any way they can. You can talk about pretty much anything here, without having to worry about how anyone is going to react.

In fact if my memory serves me, I seem to remember at least one of the other ladies talking about having PCOS, or at least elevated testosterone levels. I tried a search for PCOS but couldn’t find any other threads. Maybe one of the ladies will remember though and can point you to it/them.

Best of luck to you though, and be sure to come back and tell us how the pheros are working for you.

alpha androstenol in high doses recovers the menstrual cycle, because of its influence in the LH and progesterone production.

Male pheromones stimulate neurohormonal system of female and inhibit
secretion of prolactin.

A wonder suplement for recovering pcos is vitex agnus.

But,in my opinion, the best way to recover it,is recovering from leptin resistance.

it will lowers insulin resistance very much, and this way, your androgens will be lower againg, and your progesterone levels will come back to the normal levels.

The best way to doing this is the scardale diet

There is a good book named mastering leptin

i have studied very much, about high prolactin levels, and it relation with androgens, thyroid metabolism, and insulin problems, and it relation ship in mood and body metabolism in general.

With the correct diet, you would get it faster than with the best meds.

The first person talked me about pheromones is an endocrine, and one of his experiences was a pacient without menstrual cycle for 6 months, and one hour after being in his consult, she phoned him from her car, because she had recovered her cycle.
Male Axillary Extracts Contain Pheromones that Affect Pulsatile Secretion of Luteinizing Hormone and Mood in Women Recipients – Preti et al. 68 (6): 2107 – Biology of Reproduction

he had 1 mg of alpha androstenol on his shirt.
Dont worry, you will recover from Pcos
IM SURE.

pd:Mettformin,cabergoline,spironolactone,…etc.

Many meds are used for this disease.

I have suffered a rise in prolactin-insulin-androgens levels last year, and i understand its a hard problem for health and mood(low energy and bad feelings often)

for me,the best medicine was scardale diet(very low caloric diet, resveratrol to rise gen sirt1 activity, and high doses of fish oil)

blablabla…
.sorry for talking too much about this :frowning:
i always forgot the bored, that science can be.

Perhaps the best text someone can read about recovering from leptin resistance, thus recoverin insulin resistance(with the depresion, adhd, and pcos problems relationed to this)

Mastering Leptin(resume of the book)

Netriceuticals

pd: a little contribution that many books about leptin and insulin problems forget .

Vitamin A.

vitamin A supplementation may provide a convenient method to reduce serum leptin under conditions where it is abnormally elevated. Both obesity and the increase in body weight with aging are associated with elevated levels of serum leptin and leptin resistance. Moreover, the increased levels of leptin with obesity may be contributing to the diabetes caused by obesity. Recent studies have indicated that leptin may impair insulin action. Leptin inhibits the basal and glucose mediated insulin secretion from isolated pancreatic islets of both normal rats and ob/ob mice. Leptin also impairs the metabolic action of insulin in isolated rat adipocytes including glucose transport and lipogenesis. It has been indicated that leptin inhibits insulin signal transduction in human hepatic cells. However, this inhibition could not be duplicated in a hepatic cell line transfected with the leptin receptor. Thus, the elevated leptin levels in obese individuals may be harmful. Vitamin A supplementation may be one method to restore both leptin and insulin responsiveness under conditions of obesity and elevated serum leptin.

AND BLA..BLA..BLA…

Sorry againg

Thanks for the information–I’m already on 2000mg of Met for I.R. and will be talkin to my Endo about Spiro next visit. I’ll ask him about leptin deficiency and Vitamin A as well…Thanks again

MW, what works for you the best?

Hey she, MW has a journal in the journal section at the top of this page where she goes in to which are now her favorites.

Leptin levels in women with polycystic ovary syndrome before and after treatment with diazoxide – Krassas et al. 139 (2): 184 – European Journal of Endocrinology This study casts some doubt on leptin levels>PCOS, however it confirms that lowering insulin levels also leads to lowering testosterone in PCOS. Clearly there’s alot of uncertainty. Usually foods that are “high glycemic” cause the body to produce more insulin. “The South Beach Diet” is a diet based all around the glycemic index, so it might be worth looking into.

From what little I’ve read, birth control pills (progesterone) seem to be the dominant treatments. Some stuff I read suggested that soy or saw palmetto might be beneficial since they tend to block the metabolism of testosterone into DHT (which can cause unwanted hair developement, acne, etc), and lower cholesterol in women with PCOS. Also, some women with PCOS have high estrogen levels, and soy and saw palmetto will actually partially block estrogen- soy doesn’t actually raise estrogen levels at all, it’s a “partial agonist”, which means it binds to a receptor site and partially stimulates it, and prevents real estrogen form binding to the receptors.

I think Instant Honesty and Instant Openness would definitely be safe. Maybe Instant Sexiness because that doesn’t contain alot of copulins. Even copulins might not necessarily raise testosterone in women- it’s not something I know anything about. Alot of the responses to hormones/pheromones are controlled by the brain, and these brain response are often believed to develope in the womb or at a very young age.

TDaos stuff is interesting though, because I’ve got a bit of an insulin sensitivity thing going on myself, and one side of my family has diabetes running in the family, or pre-diabetes/obesity, the “X-syndrome”. I’m a vegetarian myself (I eat some soy, but alot of other things too, mostly “low glycemic”), and I seem to OD on androstenone fairly easily. I’ve never had my testosterone levels checked, but it might be worth looking into one of these days.
