Pheromones and hormones with PCOS: do I need more to get the usual effects?

Hello Ladies

I have a question/situation…I was dx’d with a Hormonal Imbalance known as PCOS. In short, I basically have above normal levels of testosterone–It sucks but I deal with it…

I was wondering what exactly is the link if any between pheromones and hormones if any and would I have to overcompensate with pheromones to get the desired effects normal women get? TIA

If you are looking to self-medicate yourself with pheros…well…I asked the same question except it was in reguards to depression and chemical imbalances. I got the answer “you should not try to regulate a chemical imbalance with pheros.”

Im glad i got this response. When i find myself using large qty’s of IS (i.e. ISE) I notice a huge come down that often makes me irritable. This is no good. Unless you are consistantly applying a phero that would balance you out, IMO it wont work out the way you would like…Then there is always the other variable…Which is building an immunity to it. Something li noticed a little bit with the A314. Then i went and OD"d…but thats another story…Does this help? Gosh i hope so.

Thanks for your response. I’m actually not looking to self medicate with pheromones ( im already on medication for this problem), Im looking to use them for what they are intended for. I was I was just wondering if my hormones being out of whack would be an issue when it came to application and usage.

I am not a scientist so bear with me on this LOL

Pheromones and hormones while closely related are not the same.

Hormones are substances in our bodies that control our health and fertility among other bodily functions.

Pheromones are secretions from the body that transmit messages to others peoples subconscious minds effecting there behavoir. Some are derivatives of hormones though meaning you cant make the pheromone without the hormone present in the body.

So because you make alot of testestorone according to your doctor, it would be my guess that you would less of certain pheromones then the regular person your age. My thoughts would be the typical male pheromones like Androstenone and Androsterone you would need less of, if any. There are very little if any of those two in the womens products.

Now that being said copulins which are the vaginal secretions of fertile young females (in synthetic form of course) are in the womens products. Copulins have been known to raise the testestorone levels in males by 130%. Whether they will do that to a womens testestorone levels is unknown to me. I really dont know if anyone has tested the hormonal effects on women.

So it would be my conclusions that you would need less application then a female who makes normal levels of testestorone becaue you will secreting more then others naturally. You will have to test just like all of us to find your dosage. We really are all different in the amount of hormones we make in our bodies and the amount of pheromones we produce.

I disagree. I think you would need to wear more copulins than the average woman, because estorgen levels are tied to copulin levels, in a positive relationship. A woman with lower estrogen (e.g. those who are menopausal, on birthcontrol pills, or those with PCOS) needs to balance out that deficit, pheromonally speaking. PCOS is usually treated with anti-androgen meds, so a focus on boosting estrogen-dependent pheromones might work best for you.
Conversely, I would avoid any products containing -none (some women’s formulas do contain it in small amounts) since you likely give off more
-none than the average non-PCOS female. I don’t know if any of the -nols converts to -none upon the skin, so do research that matter prior to wearing nols. For now, to be safe, I would stick to copulins alone.

Ummm thats what I said LOL She needs less of the typical male products but the female products have very little if any of those so she will be fine with those. She just needs to find her correct dosage just like any other women.

Nols will diffuse way before the can convert to anone unless you spray them to your groin or pits becaue these are bacteria rich enviroments.

So she should be safe wearing everything but then mens and maybe MX134

Thanks Tisha

I kinda figured as much. I’m thinking that because my situation can/does inhibit fertility that I may need to apply more of the women’s pheromones being that I may not produce them at all? Im also wondering about the link between the two because in dating situations, guys always seem put off by me, like there is some sort of barrier… Happens 99.9% of the time so I was wondering if testosterone fuels a particular male pheromone that I may be putting out way to much for comfort? Guess I will do some googlin later on tonite…

I know that I will have to test in order to see what works best for me as we are all different. I just wanted a general idea of things before I started makin purchases. Thanks again for the response

You said that she would need less application than that of a woman who secretes a normal amount of testosterone. I am disagreeing with that point. I think she needs more copulins than the average woman because she has a lower ratio of estrogen:progesterone than does a non-PCOS female. Therefore, she would require more copulins.
I still think she’d be better off avoiding -nols and instead should focus on estrogen-dependent pseudo-pheromones, i.e. copulins.

Here I found a little something in my notes that may help a bit…

From what I can tell your high testestorone output like that of a women given testestorone after menopause means your will respond stimulating the ovaries which can increase copulin output.

Oops! Didn’t mean to add that weird smiley face to my post! Sorry.
Mstearious, if you are taking prescription anti-androgens and have normalized your hormaones via those meds, you may be able to experiment with -nols. Yes, females with testosterone in higher than normal levels will deter men, pheromonally…which is why I suggest a string dose of copulins…you want to “send out” estrogen-related pheromones rather than -none (testosterone-dependent pheromones), which is likely what you send out now.

Well ladies, you both have valid points, and on reading mstearious_won’s post, I was about to suggest cops too. Then Tisha brought up an interesting fact, in that copulins are known to raise testosterone levels in men, and noted that no studies have been done with regard to effects on women.

Taking that into consideration, wondering what impact copulins may have on a woman whose testosterone level is already high, I started thinking that suggesting cops may not be the answer, and was thinking more along the lines of Instant Sexiness (B), to soften up the testosterone effects, or Instant Female Magic to maybe counter-balance them

If you do decide to give copulins a try, you can pick up a bottle of Essense of a Woman, which is straight copulins, over at the LS store.

I would also suggest that if you do want to try copulins that you take notice of your emotional state and personality before applying, as well as after, and see if you feel like the cops elevated or impacted your testosterone production.

I absolutely do not see where in that excerpt you find information to suggest fewer estrogen-dependent pheromones for a PCOS patient…???
It doesn’t make sense. PCOS patients put out too many androgens, and PCOS is treated (at least adjunctly) with prescription anti-androgens.
How would her own testosterone output make her produce more female sexual pheromones. It certainly doesn’t happen in men, who are androgen dominant.

Thanks for your response Charmed,

I was wondering about that possibility and what I could do to counter it.

Another idea is to use copulins along with EST, which may help to balance it all out. Still, the key question here is whether or not she is on medicationto successfully balance out her androgen dominance. If so, copulins are the way to go…if not, see your MD and inquire!

I agree with the use of est and was thinking along the same lines myself. I think est will be one of the most beneficial pheromones to her. As well as the T series and I will not say why I feel that way about the T series.

I’m not currently taking any anti-androgens as I am still researching them. I did 3 cycles of BCP which did lower my testosterone levels but I took myself off because of the s.e. and risks. I also have insulin resistance which I believe is the main culprit and PCOS is its offspring. So I am workin to lower my insulin levels which in turn will help level out the other hormones. But my main social concern was that I maybe puttin out male pheromones instead of female which is the cause for my dating mishaps…Friendship wise, I get along great with men and it is some what strained with women…I jus don’t feel as feminine as I should and while I’m workin on the hormonal aspect of things, I wanted something to aid with the social aspects of my affliction

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your response. I actually purchased Primal Instinct and PCC from LS a couple of weeks ago. I tried the PCC and did notice a change personality wise-- I was wayyy more chatty then normal and felt relaxed and comfortable with myself. I didnt test it on anyone else as my target guy is miles and miles away. I didnt get the EoW because I’ve read its not for newbies and am kinda worried about the scent I’ve read so much about

I would suggest TAH then, TAH is girly and kittenish and may help you feel more feminine.

I think Ishine which is TAA will help as well.

Also if you have tried Primal and PCC then you should be fine with the nols. PCC is a very very week copulin formula and Primal has the nols and copulins and you mentioned you had pretty good results with them.

Try Instant sexiness B because it has both cops and Tah and nols in it.

If like Mark suggested you want to try EOW just start slow with a drop or 2 and see how you feel . The scent is not as bad as it used to be really so dont be afraid of that. It covers real easy now.

Tisha

Thanks for the suggestions  Would the instant honesty/openness products be ok to wear as well? I’m hoping to establish an intimate rapport with my target guy who will be visiting soon…Something that adds sex appeal wouldnt hurt either

Yep I think they will be fine they are the nols. Nols exposed to bacteria can convert to anone but its not a comman problem for people who shower daily. If its something your worried about just use anti bacterial soap when you shower and dont spray it to your pits or groin area. Not that you would (snort) but some of the guys have LOL Even if it did convert it would be minimal.
