Yup, so RIGHT after my break up I went out and bought NEW THINGS for my bed. In fact, I want a new headboard/bed frame as well to REDO my room as I had wanted to do when I first moved in here months ago but just didn’t have as a top priority. Now, it IS a Top Priority for my attracting NEW Fabulous Men into my life.
I know Mia Farrow chopped off her hair with the famous Frank Sinatra breakup, but MY locks are NOT coming off!
In fact, I am being INDUSTRIOUS to CLEAN/DECLUTTER my new digs. I even cleared out the trunk of my car, aka The Dumping Group, this morning and am going through all that stuff to throw it out, recycle paper, and Goodwill items.
Meanwhile, on the Phero Front, I have a new order in for all my favorite (Instant Shine because I am SUCH a shiny girl!) as well as Lust After Me. I figure, I want ALL the good ammunition I can get in my arsenal of Dating Tools!
When you have a break up, what are some of the things you do to CLEANSE and RENEW you & your space?
I LIKE what you’re saying about color. Actually that IS happening as well. And the clearing things out from my bedroom and getting ride of all signs of him is another part of it. He left shampoo in the downstairs bathroom, but even that I am inclined to el chucko. Gonzo - everything, please.

but they sneak their colors and whatnot into the house ever so slowly…and before i know it the whole freakin place is BEIGE blue or black, and nothing is soft

Well, no way I’d ever give him any of my Keraste shampoo! Oye! LOL!
I’m thinking I’m chucking the shampoo now for an additional layer of cleansing to make room for Mr. New Man. And, of course, there is already a front runner! Whee!
I’ve actually been pretty good about that this time (I had a “breakup” from a very long-term but unofficial relationship in March), but I usually rebound like I’m in the WNBA.
If you’re going to el chucko his shampoo, you might as well chuck yours as well - try going No 'poo! My hair has never looked better and I am not wasting a fortune on stripping the oils out of my hair (shampoo) and then putting them back in (conditioner).
But anyway April, sorry you are going through this. It sucks to be in that position, but at least it’s only temporary and you have a great attitude about moving forward from here.
I’m with you. Throw it alllll out. I seem to always get left with odd old dark blue towels after a break up…And you may discover sockballs where you least expect them. Once, after the breakup of an LTR where we had been living together, I found my ex’s long-forgotten porno stash! Was enlightening.
After the end of a very short and very creepy romance, I once used native american sage to “smudge” my place. Whatever helps and makes you happy, go ahead and do it!
Cleaning out the energy MOST especially in my bedroom! Lots of windows open. Airing everything out. Then lighting scented candles to make it newly romantic for ME to enjoy and attract someone fabulous and new!

I actually stopped using traditional shampoo as well…I use WEN products. They are cleansing conditioners, and my hair is like silk. It is long, straight, and fine, and since I color it red every 4-6 weeks, it would get crispy on the ends. It no longer does that…and I am not experiencing a drain full of hair due to breakage either…I love it!
You can either get it at qvc.com, or you can go to chazdean.com and purchase from there. QVC is a little cheaper, but their shipping has been really slow lately.
It takes a little getting used to, but after about a month of use, I have passed the learning curve, and am loving it…I’m definitely hooked!!
Tonight I CHUCKED the remainder! I wasn’t being true to my spirit before. I was being… PRACTICAL! “I could use that soap/shampoo for other guests…” OYE! This stuff is CHEAP! CHUCK IT.

I am glad to hear that you had a major clearout and felt better for it!! A question I would like someone to help me out with is,
I finished with my ex b/f on New Years Eve. Thing is, he gave me lots of rings, bracelets, etc… during the time we were together and most of it I never put on. I feel as if I should give it all back to him, but at the same time I don´t want to hurt his feelings. He always used to say that I never put any of it on. Now we aren´t an item, I look at these things in my drawer and it makes me uncomfortable. Any ideas about what I should do?
