Safety of pheromones

Some pheromones, or what some dealers claim to be pheromones might have some risks.

- Oxytocin who you might find in some products are well debated. Some claims you’ll have to use nasal spray to see any kind of effect at all. In that case Oxytocin are useless. But some claims it to have great effect, and if that is so, you should be very carefull getting exposed for longer period of time or making any kind of OD with it.
Here’s a clip of what is written about it on Wikipedia :

“Excessive dosage or long term administration (over a period of 24 hours or longer) have been known to result in tetanic uterine contractions, uterine rupture, postpartum hemorrhage, and water intoxication, sometimes fatal.
Increased uterine motility has led to the following complications in the fetus/neonate:Decreased heart rate or heart rate decelerations, Cardiac arrhythmia, Brain damage, Seizures, Death”

So if you use any products containing Oxytocin, please be careful and not reapply during the days and dont apply on clothes so it will last longer and dont get it on bed sheets so you also are exposed to it while you sleep.

- Androstadienone is said to decrease a mans mood and in worst case make him depressed. I cant find much about it, but being mentioned a couple of times here at PheroTalk.

- Methoxyestratetraenone also called Meo-Est is as Tisha says not in many products and not as i can see in the products line here, but i can see that some other pheromone companies use it. There is not much i can find on the web about it, other than several posts on forums from people claiming it to highten risk of getting breast cancer. So, for me it is of course a real stay away.

It think its worth mention that there is also many toughts about pheromone might also have good health issues, and if it had been better research on this issues, i am shure some pheromones actually could have medicine effects on some problems.
